How this tier list is scored
Placement reflects endgame performance at the current patch: raw output or team value, how many contents the Arcanist stays useful in, and how much investment it takes to get there. Rankings assume Insight III, Resonance 10 and a suitable Psychube. Rank is cross-checked against community meta from several independent sources; the mechanic tags next to each Arcanist are extracted from the official skill data in-game, not copied from anyone's list. A low tier does not mean unusable — a favourite built properly clears every story stage.

DPS — the Arcanist the team builds around; carries the damage in most fights.
Sub-DPS — a second damage source that also enables the carry (extra turns, follow-ups, damage over time).
Support — buffs, debuffs and card manipulation; raises the whole team's ceiling instead of hitting hard.
Survival — healing, shields and cleanses; the reason a run does not end on turn six.
