J — Review & Analysis
J is a Beast Afflatus unit centered on Reality DMG, but really a HYBRID of damage, team buffing and defensive support. His Skill 1 stacks 2 Burn on the enemy per hit, and for every Burn stack J carries the WHOLE team gains 1% extra damage for 2 rounds — the more Burn he holds, the harder everyone hits. Skill 2 shields the entire team (250% ATK) with a counter-attack, while his Ultimate hits all enemies for 350% Reality DMG and dumps his Burn onto them, adding 10% damage per overflowing stack. His clearest role: a sub-DPS who doubles as a damage buffer and team shield.
- Buffs the WHOLE team: each Burn stack J carries grants all allies +1% damage for 2 rounds (Skill 1) — he powers up the party while attacking.
- Strong team anchor: Skill 2 shields the entire team for up to 250% ATK and auto-counters when a shielded ally is hit.
- Scaling AoE burst: his Ultimate deals 350% Reality DMG, transfers his Burn to enemies and adds 10% damage per overflowing stack.
- Beast Afflatus counters Plant, dealing +30% damage against Plant enemies.
- Heavily reliant on Burn stacking: his damage buff, shield coefficient and Ultimate burst all scale with Burn, so he is weak early before stacks build up (a ramp-up dependency).
- Beast Afflatus is countered by Mineral — against Mineral enemies J is on the losing side of the counter cycle.
Since both J's damage buff and shield coefficient scale off ATK and Burn stacks, prioritize leveling Skill 2 (shield + counter) and his Ultimate first to lock in the anchor-plus-burst role, then Skill 1 as his Burn engine. For Psychubes, favor ATK / damage-oriented ones (they strengthen both his shield and his burst since both scale with ATK); if you run a more DPS-leaning build, consider adding crit to push his Reality damage higher.

Where to Get
Teams with J
Isolde and Spathodea both pair Burn with Crit — igniting a target then critting the burning DoT window multiplies total damage. J adds a second Burn tag plus Shield/Riposte for frontline durability. Yenisei sustains. Isolde, J and Spathodea all require their Euphoria to reach this ceiling.
