Damage Calculator
Work out exactly how much damage a hit deals in Reverse: 1999. All seven factors the game actually multiplies together — attack vs defence, damage bonus, might, crit, skill multiplier, Afflatus and final bonus — with every step shown so you can check the number yourself.
① Attack vs Defence
②③ Damage bonus & Might
④ Critical
⑤ Skill multiplier
⑦ Final bonus
⑥ Afflatus advantage

Every factor here is the game's own combat rule, cross-checked against two independent sources that agree. The tool multiplies all seven and rounds down, exactly as the game does. Nothing is guessed.
How the formula works
| Factor | What it means |
|---|---|
| ① Attack vs Defence | Your attack minus the enemy defence of the matching type. DEF% never goes below −100% (defence floors at 0) and penetration caps at 100%. There is a floor so a high-defence enemy can never zero your damage out completely. |
| ② Damage bonus & Might | 1 + (DMG dealt increases − DMG reduction). Every "DMG dealt +X%", "DMG taken +X%", "DMG bonus +X%" and "DMG reduction −X%" is added up here. |
| ③ Damage bonus & Might | 1 + spell Might + ultimate Might. A spell only takes spell Might; an ultimate only takes ultimate Might. Floors at 0. |
| ④ Critical | 1.3 + (Crit DMG − target Crit DEF). Base crit rate is Crit Technique ÷ 3000, base crit DMG is 1.3 + Crit Technique ÷ 2000. On a non-crit this factor is simply 1. |
| ⑤ Skill multiplier | The spell or ultimate's own multiplier. |
| ⑥ Afflatus advantage | 1.3 when you have Afflatus advantage, otherwise 1. The cycle is Beast → Plant → Star → Mineral → Beast. Spirit and Intellect sit outside it. |
| ⑦ Final bonus | All final bonuses and final reductions multiply together — they do not add. +30% and −30% at once leaves 91%, not 100%. |
One correction worth knowing: a widely-read Japanese wiki states that Spirit and Intellect counter each other. The publisher's own text does not — it lists only the four-element cycle. More decisively, several Psychubes read "if the Carrier does not have an Afflatus advantage, DMG Dealt +6%; if the Carrier is Spirit or Intellect, this is increased to 12%". That doubled compensation only makes sense because Spirit and Intellect can never hold an advantage. This calculator follows the publisher.
