Power ranking of all 56 Agents for endgame (Shiyu Defense · Deadly Assault), updated for ver 3.0. Open any Agent for the full build.

Updated for version 3.0 · 03/07/2026
A reference list based on general endgame meta. Only meta-settled characters are ranked; very new ones await data. Strength also depends on team & build — use with the damage calculator. How we calculate & data sources →

On the current version (see the version label at the top of the board), gamevika's ZZZ tier list ranks the whole Agent roster by endgame performance (Shiyu Defense · Deadly Assault) into four tiers: S+ (the strongest meta pillars, such as Astra Yao, Ye Shunguang, Yixuan), then S, A and B — the live board above counts each tier exactly and updates every patch. Rankings are scored on 6 criteria (damage ceiling, team synergy, versatility, investment efficiency, Daze/Anomaly generation, endgame consistency), cross-checked against real builds. A-tier Agents still clear hard content when built right — the tier measures the power ceiling, not a usable/useless split.

The 6 criteria behind every ranking (and why this board can differ from other sites)

An Agent climbs to S+ or settles at A for measurable reasons — gamevika scores on 6 axes, cross-checked against real builds and community consensus:

1. Damage Ceiling — how high the damage peaks with a full combo and proper build. 2. Team Synergy — whether they lift the whole squad or only shine solo. 3. Versatility — fit into many teams / modes, or locked to one template. 4. Investment Efficiency — already strong at M0 (no Mindscapes), or only unleashed at M6 plus a signature W-Engine. This is what F2P players weigh most. 5. Daze & Anomaly generation — for Stun and Anomaly units, break speed and status build-up matter as much as raw damage. 6. Endgame Consistency — reliable every run or terrain-dependent; measured across Shiyu Defense and Deadly Assault.

Why does our order sometimes differ from English sites? Because this board rewards even performance across multiple endgame modes, not one flashy burst clip. Miyabi, ranked #1 by some sites, sits at S here because current's new on-field DPS wave overtook her — yet she remains a top DPS, just no longer untouchable. Our full method is linked under "data sources" at the top.

S+ tier — the names on top

This is the cohort that sets the version's power ceiling. The live board above is the full, self-updating S+ list — below are just a few representative faces so you can picture how strong an S+ pick is (tap a name on the board for the full build):

  • Astra Yao (Support) — the game's best Ether support, stacking DMG buffs and restoring energy for almost any DPS team.
  • Ye Shunguang (Attack) — a main DPS with an extremely high on-field damage ceiling that can carry hard content alone.
  • Yixuan (Rupture) — a self-sufficient Auric-Ether Rupture DPS with explosive damage and no team demands.
  • Aria (Anomaly) — an Ether DPS/Anomaly that triggers massive Disorder and flexes into many teams.

The rest — the other top Stun, Support and Anomaly units — all live on the board. Don't memorize a list: filter by the role/element you're building, since the order inside the apex shifts every patch.

S tier — the near-apex picks well worth investing

A single step below S+, many of these clear all hard content when built right — ideal if you don't want to chase every banner. The live board above holds the full S list and keeps updating; here are a few representative faces showing how strong S can be:

  • Miyabi (Anomaly) — the Frost anomaly who once dominated, still a top DPS even outside the new meta.
  • Caesar (Defense) — a tank-plus-buffer (Physical): her shield adds DMG and keeps value across every patch.
  • Yanagi (Anomaly) — a pillar Electric Disorder Anomaly with durable off-field damage.
  • Hugo (Attack) — Ice DPS with a high damage ceiling and big burst windows.

Many more — both former meta kings and newcomers — sit at S too. Open the board and filter by role to see them all, since the S/S+ line shifts slightly each patch.

Newcomers: what to pull first

Every version drops a wave of newcomers, but resources are limited — so what pull order makes sense?

  • Pull first if you lack a team pillar: a top Support/Defense (Astra Yao, Caesar) raises your whole account's value longer than any DPS.
  • Pull if you need a carry: a high-ceiling on-field DPS to solo hard content.
  • Weigh by the element you're building: a newcomer opening a fresh meta (say an off-field Wind line) is only worth it if you'll build a whole team around it — don't pull just because it's "new".

Note the meta is still settling: for the very newest Agents there isn't much real build data yet, so their rank may shift slightly in later patches — the board only locks them in once there's enough sample. Check the NEW tag on the live board to see who just released, instead of memorizing a fixed list here.

A & B tiers — still good, or benchwarmers?

Don't shelve an Agent just for being off the top. A tier holds many former meta kings that stay very strong when built right: Ellen, Zhu Yuan, Qingyi, Lycaon, Nicole, Soukaku, Burnice, Jane... — most once carried Shiyu Defense and still clear hard content with enough Drive Disc and W-Engine investment.

B tier (Nekomata, Soldier 11, Corin, Billy, Anton, Ben) is the launch roster: plenty for story and early leveling, but replace them gradually once you own a higher-tier pick in the same role.

Golden rule for F2P: a fully built A Agent beats an under-built S+ every time. Tier ranks who is stronger, not who is useless.

Team-building by tier — ZZZ's 3-slot formula

A ZZZ squad has 3 slots, and the formula that survives every patch is: 1 main DPS + 1 Stun/Anomaly + 1 Support or Defense.

  • DPS slot: pick a lane-leading Attack/Anomaly/Rupture that matches the element you're building.
  • Break / status slot: a Stun (like Nangong Yu or Lighter) to open damage windows, or a second Anomaly for Disorder teams.
  • Glue slot: Astra Yao is a Support that fits almost any team, while Caesar is a versatile shield that holds value across every version. Landing either is account-wide "insurance".

Favor matching element + faction for the bonus effects. For exact comps per DPS, see gamevika's Teams page — it wires straight into this tier board.

What the 3.0 meta revolves around

Zooming out, the current version shifts along a few clear lines:

  • Physical supports rise: Sunna and Yuzuha reshape team-building with all-round buffs, not just healing.
  • High-ceiling on-field DPS: Ye Shunguang resets the main-carry damage bar.
  • Wind finally gets a stage: Velina opens an off-field Wind meta.
  • Rupture grows stronger: Yixuan, Yidhari, Banyue, Starlight - Billy offer self-sufficient, low-maintenance play.

Meanwhile older cores are far from dead: the Frost/Anomaly squad around Miyabi is still top, and A-tier veterans keep clearing well. Because the board updates every patch (~6 weeks) or the moment the meta swings, check back before pulling so you never mis-invest.

Verdict — who to pull and build first

Kept short so you don't overthink it:

  • New / thin roster: prioritize a top Support over a second DPS — Astra Yao (or Caesar for a shield) raises your whole account's value longer than anyone.
  • Want one unit to carry hard content: Ye Shunguang is current's strongest on-field DPS; prefer low-maintenance self-sufficiency and it's Yixuan.
  • Already own A-tier Agents: don't over-pull — proper Drive Disc + W-Engine clears most content; save resources for a banner truly worth it.

Why trust this board: it ranks on gamevika's real build database plus community consensus, dares to keep Miyabi at S and explain why instead of chasing the crowd, and auto-updates every patch so it never drifts off-meta. One line: pull a top Support/shield first, build to the 3-slot formula, then come back each patch to catch the new meta.

FAQ

What are the rankings based on?

Endgame performance (Shiyu Defense · Deadly Assault) under the current meta, scored on 6 axes (damage ceiling, team synergy, versatility, investment efficiency, Daze/Anomaly generation, endgame consistency), cross-checked against gamevika's build database and community consensus — updated each patch, with the version label right at the top.

Are A-tier characters worth using?

Very much so. Many A-tier Agents clear hard content well when built right — the tier reflects the ceiling versus the top cohort, not uselessness. Tap any Agent for its optimal build.

How often is the board updated?

Every patch (~6 weeks) or the moment the meta swings hard. Build and usage data sync automatically, so the ranking always matches each Agent's build page.

Who should a new player pull and build first?

Prioritize a top Support like Astra Yao or the shield Caesar before a second DPS — they raise your whole account's long-term value. If you need one carry, Ye Shunguang is 3.0's strongest on-field DPS.

Why do some characters (like Miyabi) rank differently than on other sites?

Because this board measures even performance across multiple endgame modes, not one flashy burst. Miyabi is still a top DPS, placed at S because 3.0's new on-field DPS wave overtook her — we state the reason instead of following the crowd.

Are S-tier characters fine without their signature W-Engine?

Fine for most content. Many S-tier Agents are already strong at M0 with a substitute W-Engine; the signature only pushes the damage ceiling higher, it isn't a requirement to use them. Check each build page for the best alternative W-Engine.

Should you invest in 3.0's new characters right away?

Top newcomers like Ye Shunguang, Sunna and Velina are well worth it. For the very newest Agents the meta data is still settling, so the board only ranks them once there's enough real build data — expect small shifts in later patches.
