4: CRIT Rate (or CRIT DMG) · 5: Electric DMG · 6: ATK%
Prioritize CRIT Rate/CRIT DMG > ATK% > PEN; aim for 70%+ CRIT Rate and ~2500+ ATK.
Skill priority: Core Skill > Basic Attack > EX Special = Ultimate > Assist > Dodge.
Recommended teams
Well worth pulling if you want a new-gen Electric carry: explosive Basic Attack damage, self-buffed CRIT DMG, and Energy for the Vanguard. Her weaknesses are needing a second Attacker to reach full power and relying heavily on her signature Cordis Germina to hit enough CRIT.
Role Ranking
The list below is pulled straight from the overall Tier List, keeping only the 16 agents who share the Attack role. Order within each tier is NOT a strength ranking — it simply groups agents by their original tier.
Stat targets
(Lv60, core passive included): ATK 2700-3000+, CRIT Rate 75%-90%+, CRIT DMG 110%-140%+, HP 10000+, DEF 800+. the community lists CRIT Rate ~75-85% (80-85% with signature) and CRIT DMG 120-140%+. Stack CRIT Rate first, since Seed's Core Skill already supplies CRIT DMG.
Rotation & combos
Practical combo: 1) Open on the Vanguard (your 2nd Attacker) - build Energy, then fire the Vanguard's EX Special to grant Seed Onslaught. 2) Swap to Seed and HOLD EX Special (Raining Iron Petals / Flight Mode, invulnerable throughout), burning 60-120 Energy => grants the Vanguard Direct Strike; both gain Besiege (+DMG, and 20% DEF ignore at M2). 3) Build Steel Charge (~200, or 100 with M1) and dump the Basic Attack: Falling Petals - Downfall/Slaughter chain - her main damage. 4) Quickswap Seed <-> Vanguard, alternating EX Specials to keep Besiege up. 5) Fire Ultimate/Chain on full Decibel to cap the burst.
- Loads of invincibility frames and free dodge mechanics while skilling - very hard to get interrupted mid-combo.
- Introduces a brand-new archetype - Dual Attack-Class DPS teams - reviving niche Attackers like Nekomata and Billy as viable partners.
- Kit blends Support and DPS: hands out ATK +1000, CRIT DMG and DMG-dealt buffs to both herself and the Vanguard - a unique spot among Attack agents.
- Very high instant burst from her enhanced basic (Falling Petals - Slaughter) and Ultimate - great against bosses and beefy targets.
- At release she has no dedicated partner - she must pull other Attackers out of their own best teams to build hers.
- Combos aren't mechanically hard but demand proper resource management (Steel Charge + Energy) to be effective.
- Must always run alongside a second Attack Agent - a heavy team-building constraint; she can't solo-carry.

Endgame mode fit
Strong in Shiyu Defense: her Dual-Attacker burst clears rooms fast, ideal for the score/time race; overall T0.5 with high Shiyu usage.
Suits Deadly Assault: her enhanced-basic + Ultimate burst hits hard against DA's beefy bosses; confirm strong output here.

Core Skill2
Core Passive: Flower Chain Protocol
The Attack teammate with the highest initial ATK is considered Seed's Vanguard. When the Vanguard unleashes an EX Special Attack, Seed gains Onslaught status, increasing Seed's ATK by 100 and CRIT DMG by 15%. When Seed unleashes an EX Special Attack, the Vanguard gains Direct Strike status, increasing the Vanguard's ATK by 100 and CRIT DMG by 15%. When Direct Strike and Onslaught are both active, Seed and the Vanguard simultaneously gain Besiege status, increasing DMG dealt by 15%. Onslaught, Direct Strike, and Besiege buffs can all take effect when the character is the current active character. When switching to inactive, the buffs remain until the character goes off-field or 3s after the switch. When the character returns to being the active character, the buffs re-activate. Upon entering the battlefield with a Vanguard, Seed immediately gains Onslaught status and Besiege status, while the Vanguard immediately gains Direct Strike status and Besiege status. Direct Strike and Onslaught status last for 40s, and repeated triggers refresh the duration. When the Vanguard consumes Energy as the active character or when Seed consumes Energy, for every 1 point of Energy consumed, Seed recovers 0.5 points of Steel Charge.*Stats shown are at Base level.
Additional Ability: Surprise Strike
When another Attack Character is in your squad: When Seed deals DMG as the active character, restore 2 Energy to the Vanguard. This effect can trigger once every 1s. Seed's Basic Attack: Falling Petals - Slaughter, Basic Attack: Falling Petals - Downfall, and Ultimate: Clockwork Garden - Bloom! deal 30% increased DMG and ignore 25% of enemy Electric RES.

Mindscapes — how far is worth it?
When Seed's Steel Charge reaches 100, Basic Attack: Falling Petals - Downfall can be triggered, and the total Steel Charge consumed is reduced to 100. The amount of Steel Charge required to gain once chance to quickly release Basic Attack: Falling Petals - Slaughter is reduced to 100. Gain an additional 40/20 Steel Charge when entering the battlefield/using Ultimate. Increases Basic Attack: Falling Petals - Downfall CRIT DMG by 30%. This is a solemn and mysterious building, isolated from the outside world. The pure white one belongs here. She shrinks back, carefully peering out through the wire fence. What's the world outside like? Her curiosity flows beyond the sterile room, past the crumbling towers, dodging the pink giant flowers in the sky. Flowing further and further... "Looks just like a cracked, stinky egg~" "But I want to experience it for a while..."
When Besiege is active for an Agent, that Agent's DMG ignores 20% of DEF. When activating EX Special Attack: Raining Iron Petals, after consuming a total of 60 Energy, Seed can continue consuming Energy to extend the duration of the skill until the button is released or a total of 120 Energy is consumed. For every 5 Energy consumed by EX Special Attack: Raining Iron Petals, the following Basic Attack: Falling Petals - Slaughter's DMG increases by 5%. This is a sprawling ruin of twisted steel. An inexplicable, indescribable emotion chokes her throat, yet her tongue remains silent... Her vision blurs as some alien liquid trickles down her cheeks. Rubbing her eyes, blinking... What is this blinding thing clumsily drawing closer? "Don't be afraid... I'm here... to save you..." "Do you have... a name? My codename is... 'Seed.'"
Basic Attack, Dodge, Assist, Special Attack, and Chain Attack Lv. +2 This is just another break room in a military camp. They greeted her, trying to open her heart. A shy redheaded young lady, a strange chatty gun barrel, a golden retriever with an eye cover... The big robot told her that they were all her friends. "What are friends?" "Friends... they're the ones you see when you look behind you."
When Seed's Besiege status buff is active, her Decibel Generation Rate increases by 10%, and Ultimate DMG increases by 20%. This is a grand, bustling plaza. On a stage towering above everyone else, someone is muttering something. A voice calls out her name, and many people crowd around. The dazed flower is transplanted onto the stage, gunpowder still fresh in her hair. The black box flickers with light brighter than stars, and small metal patches are pinned onto both the older and the younger one, both equally at a loss for what to do. This recognition also means that from this moment on, she is "Seed," and the robot that has always been by her side is now "Seed Sr." "Did I do well?" "Of course, you're our pride... this codename is proof of that, Seed."
Basic Attack, Dodge, Assist, Special Attack, and Chain Attack Lv. +2 This is a tiny safe house that almost no one knows about. The entire space is filled with scattered, miscellaneous items. Boxes, sofas, picture frames, and pots upon pots of flowers — red ones, yellow ones, pink ones, some standing straight, some fluffy, some drooping. Close your eyes, cover your mouth, you'll hold it in for sure — she promised. "Give them a little more time, okay?" "They'll grow up beautifully... just like you."
Seed's CRIT DMG increases by 50%. When using Basic Attack: Falling Petals - Slaughter, fires 3 additional laser beams, each dealing 165% of ATK as DMG. This effect can trigger once every 3s. Here lies a vast sea of flowers, blooming wild and brilliant. She remembers how this place once looked — barren, without even a single blade of grass. Who could have done such mischief? Who transformed this desolate, gloomy Hollow Zero into this? Who planted such a strong heart in this pale soil? "So you've come such a long way on this circle..." "Until we meet again, Seed Sr."

How to read this build page
Every Agent build page has 4 parts: a stat table by level, W-Engine/Drive Disc suggestions, a Mindscape roadmap, and recommended teams. Read them in that order — stats tell you "what you need", gear tells you "where to get it", Mindscape tells you "is it worth pulling", teams tell you "who to pair with". The section below explains how to read each part, and it applies the same way to every character on the site.
How to read the stat table and level
The stat table shows values at the ascension breakpoints (usually the final one, e.g. Lv60) — these are BASE stats with no gear added, useful for comparing Agents or checking whether you've ascended far enough. CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG are shown separately because they set the damage ceiling once Drive Disc substats stack on top. If your real stats are lower than the table, you likely haven't fully ascended or leveled yet — it's not a build mistake.
Why the W-Engine and Drive Disc picks make sense
Most Agents have a "signature" W-Engine designed for their exact role, plus a few cheaper standard-banner substitutes. Missing the signature isn't a dead end — most Agents keep most of their power with a well-matched substitute, just short by some amount of total damage.
- Drive Disc sets (2pc + 4pc) are picked for the set effect that fits that Agent's playstyle (mono-element, Anomaly, stun, and so on).
- Substats follow a priority that changes by role: Attack-type Agents usually chase CRIT Rate/CRIT DMG before ATK%; Anomaly-type Agents add Anomaly Proficiency to that mix; Stun/Support roles often value survivability or energy stats over pure CRIT.
These weights differ per character — follow the exact substat priority table above rather than applying one formula to every role.
Is Mindscape worth chasing
General rule: M0 (no duplicates) already clears the game's hardest content, even for S-rank Agents. Mindscape is a duplicate-fueled upgrade system, and each level costs more resources for a smaller power gain. For most Agents, the best value stop is usually M1–M2 (where some key effects unlock), while M6 is almost always for players chasing the absolute ceiling, not a requirement. Check the Mindscape section in the table above for that specific Agent's numbers.
Skill priority by role
There's no single order for every Agent, but the general pattern by role is:
- Attack: level the main damage skill first (Basic or Special Attack depending on kit), Dash/Dodge last.
- Stun: prioritize whichever skill builds Daze/Stun fastest, since the stun window is where the whole team dumps damage.
- Support: prioritize buff or energy-generating skills over personal damage — this role's value comes from lifting the whole team.
- Anomaly: prioritize the skill that stacks anomaly buildup, since most of the damage comes from the triggered effect, not the direct hit.
Always level the Core Skill steadily alongside the rest — it's a baseline stat that affects the whole rotation, not just one move.
Where to dig deeper

Seed FAQ
What is the best W-Engine for Seed?
Seed performs best with Cordis Germina. See alternatives and required stats in the Gear section above.
Is Seed worth pulling?
Well worth pulling if you want a new-gen Electric carry: explosive Basic Attack damage, self-buffed CRIT DMG, and Energy for the Vanguard. Her weaknesses are needing a second Attacker to reach full power and relying heavily on her signature Cordis Germina to hit enough CRIT.
What is the best team for Seed?
Seed works best in the Dual Electric Onslaught team. Full members and rotation are in the Teams section.
Who voices Seed in Zenless Zone Zero?
Seed (faction Defense Force - Obol Squad, birthday Nov 22nd) is voiced according to the official credits published on the HoYoverse Wiki. See the full English/Japanese/Korean/Chinese voice actor list in the "Voice Actors & Character Info" block above — this data is pulled directly from the official wiki, not guessed.
Which Mindscape of Seed is worth investing in?
Seed has 6 Mindscape tiers (M1-M6), each unlocking its own effect detailed in the "Mindscape" block above (official wording). Mindscapes cost Mindscape Cinema currency farmed from limited banners, so weigh it against your budget — F2P players usually stop at M0-M1 and prioritize W-Engine and Drive Discs before pushing Mindscape higher.
How much Denny and how many materials to level Seed to Lv60?
Leveling Seed to max Lv60 (ascension + basic skills to 12 + core skill A→F) costs roughly 1,706,000 Denny, plus role-specific ascension materials, attribute-specific skill chips, high-dimensional data, and weekly boss drops — see the full list with exact quantities in the "Materials Needed" block above, sourced from the game's official leveling tables.
