Moonlight Lullaby is tailor-made for supports/Lucia; Swing Jazz adds energy to maintain buff uptime.
Flip the pieces if you prioritize Energy Regen; still keep 2pc Moonlight Lullaby for its buff effect.

Quick verdict

Very much worth pulling if you invest in any Rupture team — Lucia is the BiS HP/Sheer support, raising the damage ceiling for Yixuan, Yidhari, and Manato alike. Her buffs are extremely strong with good uptime; her only limitation is that she shines almost exclusively within the Rupture archetype and sees little use elsewhere.

Stat targets

Lucia scales purely off HP and needs no crit on herself. Key threshold: >=24,000 Max HP (/bluestacks) to max her team HP buff and Special Attack buff; once hit, prioritize Energy Regen for smooth EX Special/Ultimate cadence. Main stats: disc 4 HP% · disc 5 HP% · disc 6 HP% (or Energy Regen if energy-starved). Substats: HP% > flat HP > Energy Regen (ignore crit/ATK). Everything funnels into HP.

Rotation & combos

1) OPENER: enter with 60 Dream Points; go straight into a Basic string to Basic 5 so Aftershocks push Dream Points to 100 → enter Dream State and open Ether Veil: Wellspring (team Max HP buff). 2) In Dream State: use EX Special/Chain to apply Dreamer's Nursery Rhyme (team DMG buff) and Ether Veil, then quick-swap to the Rupture carry (Yixuan/Yidhari/Manato) inside the buff window. 3) OFF-FIELD: while backgrounded she auto-fires Aftershocks (consuming 25 Dream Points) to keep the squad's Fierce Attack buff up. 4) ENERGY TIP: if low on energy, DON'T dump EX while in Dream State — once it ends, EX -> Basic 5 to instantly restore uptime. 5) Loop: swap back to her whenever the DPS buff is about to expire to refresh.

Pros
  • BiS HP/Sheer support for the entire Rupture archetype: directly raises the damage ceiling of Yixuan, Yidhari and Manato regardless of element, thanks to HP/Sheer-based buffs that aren't element-locked.
  • Deep, multi-layered buff package: team Max HP (Ether Veil), team DMG (Dreamer's Nursery Rhyme), Sheer buff for the DPS, and Fierce Attack while off-field — many amp layers in one support slot.
  • Very cheap, easy build: just stack HP (no crit needed, no crit-disc RNG), and the ~24,000 HP target is easy to reach — very F2P-friendly.
  • Strong, self-sufficient buff uptime: the Dream Point + Aftershock system keeps Ether Veil and buffs nearly permanent from the very start (enters with 60 points).
Cons
  • Narrowly specialized: shines almost only in Rupture/Sheer teams (and partly Aftershock teams). Outside that archetype her HP/Sheer buffs add little, so she sees little use.
  • HP-threshold dependent: needs ~24,000 Max HP for buffs to cap out; below it you lose noticeable value, so disc investment is still required despite the simple build.
  • Energy-hungry for cadence: after HP is settled, you must balance Energy Regen so EX Special/Ultimate come up on time — starve her and buff uptime and the rotation break down.

Recommended Bangboo

Miss Esme — Spook Shack faction bangboo (Lucia's faction); Lucia alone can trigger... Belion — Strong pick for Rupture-heavy comps. IMPORTANT: energy bangboo do NOT...

Endgame mode fit

Shiyu Defense

Excellent in Shiyu Defense: a single-target support for a bursty Rupture carry (Yixuan/Yidhari + a Stunner like Ju Fufu/Trigger, or with Astra Yao in premium setups). Her HP/Sheer buffs + RES shred (with M1) pile heavy damage into the stun window, noticeably lifting the score on a Rupture half.

Deadly Assault

Also very strong in Deadly Assault: her buffs are percentage-based so they scale well against high-HP bosses; durable Rupture teams (Yidhari/Yixuan + Lucia + Stun/Pan Yinhu) or F2P comps (Manato + Lucia + Pulchra/Pan Yinhu) keep buff uptime high through long fights, regularly topping the Rupture-side scores.

During the charge, Anti-Interrupt Level is increased, DMG taken is reduced by 40%, and when Lucia takes fatal DMG, she remains in battle with HP not dropping below 1. When the charge ends, Lucia unleashes a powerful strike in a large area around her, dealing Ether DMG. A Quick Assist is triggered when this skill hits an enemy, and after the skill is used, it leaves behind a Starlight Convergence. Starlight Convergence lasts 8s. While inside Starlight Convergence, the currently active character gains HP regeneration equal to 1.05% of Lucia's Max HP per second. This effect ends 4s after leaving the Starlight Convergence or immediately when switching out. After activation, if Lucia is in the Dream state and Ether Veil: Wellspring is active, Ether Veil: Wellspring duration is extended by 32s. If not in the Dream state, Lucia gains 100 Dream Points upon using this Harmony. If she is in the Dream state when activating this Harmony, she will gain 100 Dream Points and re-enter Dream state the next time she exits it. This effect cannot be stacked. Character is invulnerable while performing the powerful strike.

Core Skill2

Core Passive: Lost Nocturne
When entering the battlefield, Lucia immediately gains 60 Dream Points. If her Dream Points reaches 100 upon activating a Whim or Harmony, she enters the Dream state. When entering the Dream state, it triggers a Quick Assist and simultaneously activates Ether Veil: Wellspring. While Ether Veil: Wellspring is active, all squad members' Max HP increase by 5%, lasting 40s. Repeated triggers extend the duration, up to a max of 300s.While Lucia is in the Dream state, using any Whim consumes 25 Dream Points and upgrades it to Harmony. Whenever another active character's attack hits an enemy, Lucia consumes 25 Dream Points to unleash an Aftershock. This Aftershock is a Harmony. After Lucia triggers a skill upgrade or Aftershock, Aftershock cannot be triggered for 8s.When Lucia triggers a skill upgrade or an Aftershock, all squad members gain the Dreamer's Nursery Rhyme state. While in Dreamer's Nursery Rhyme state, DMG dealt increases by 10% for 12s. Repeated triggers reset the duration. If Lucia runs out of Dream Points or she leaves the Ether Veil, she exits the Dream state.

Mindscapes — how far is worth it?

M1 Secret Friend Worth it

When Dreamer's Nursery Rhyme deals additional DMG, ignore 18% of enemy All-Attribute RES and have 5% increased Decibel Generation Rate. Each time Lucia performs a skill upgrade, she gains 1 stack of Echo, stacking up to 4 times. When Dreamer's Nursery Rhyme ends, if Lucia has any Echo stacks, 1 stack is consumed to reapply Dreamer's Nursery Rhyme to all squad members. As a child, Lucia's grandmother took her by the hand and led her into the Hollows. From that moment on, she roamed its darkened trails and hunted in its boundless depths. With her brush, she painted the Ethereals she encountered, and the glow of Ether became the brilliance that lit her childhood. "When I was little, I had three friends: the mighty black shield, the teleporting Thana, and the super-powerful great armor!" "Then one day, they were gone..." "But it's okay! I drew them in my notebook. Now, with just a wave of my staff, I can summon them all back!"

M2 Great Magician Worth it

While Lucia is inside Ether Veil: Wellspring, Harmony deals 15% more DMG. Agents in the Darkbreaker state gain an additional 15% Sheer DMG increase while in Ether Veil: Wellspring. Lately, a tale has been spreading through New Eridu about the Night Emissary. "Every night at midnight, the Night Emissary shows up on the streets to tell us all kinds of stories!" "She's also an amazing magician! Just by chanting a spell, there's a 'Woosh!' and she summons a whole swarm of Ethereals to fight for us!" "Last time we got lost in a Hollow, the Night Emissary used that very trick to save us!" —As told by Avocaboo, Devilboo and Boollseye.

M3 The Best Partner Low value

Basic Attack, Dodge, Assist, Special Attack, and Chain Attack Lv. +2 —Knock, knock knock. With the steady rhythm of knocks, a kebab was passed through the window. "Proxy, take it! Hot off the fire — roast skewers with lemon popping candy, paired as perfectly as a Dullahan's sword and shield!" "Once you finish eating... let's head out and play!" "I have a feeling... tonight we'll find some amazing inspiration for an urban legend, the kind that can make the entire forum explode!"

M4 Late-Night Hours Situational

When Ether Veil is activated or extended on the field, Lucia grants all squad members 100 Decibels. This effect can trigger once every 15s. A Scholar of Urban Legends must have keen curiosity, plenty of drive, and the guts to set off without hesitation. Lucia is no exception. That's why, during her early days in New Eridu, she became a regular at Public Security. "How many times do I have to tell you? Chasing after ghost stories doesn't give you the right to wander into construction zones!" "Don't sleep on the streets, don't run around in the middle of the night, and don't go diving into Hollows in front of everyone... These are all part of the 'Rules for Life in New Eridu,' and you need to take them seriously!" "If you really can't sleep, then... uh, why not go explore Thymefield manor, and tell Alice a few ghost stories while you're there?"

M5 Dream Watcher Low value

Basic Attack, Dodge, Assist, Special Attack, and Chain Attack Lv. +2 Night falls dark as ink, the stars shining bright and brilliant. She journeys from afar, carrying stories, ballads, and unfinished verses. She plucks a flower, dew gathered upon its petals, and sets it on the windowsill. She watches over your dreams, keeping them warm and safe. "Good morning... Huh? When did you get here, Lucia?" "I'm not sure, but it hasn't been too long... time just seems to fly when I'm around you, Proxy."

M6 The Never-Ending Journey Worth it

When Lucia is inside any Ether Veil, her ATK increases by 2% of her initial Max HP, and Harmony always triggers a CRIT with Harmony CRIT DMG increased by 30%. Lucia's life is an endless journey. She runs beneath the moonlight, searching, crossing street after street, city after city. Stories intertwine like threads, spinning endless dreams, while gentle song flows beneath the glow of the night lanterns. Her search never stops, and under the stars, the journey goes on without end. Only when the night fades and the sun rises does the girl step out of the Hollows, stretching lazily. "Yaaawn... I'm so tired... but everyone says it's best not to sleep inside a Hollow..." "Maybe I should just crash on the floor at the video store instead!"

Background & Lore

Lucia, a member of Spook Shack, goes by the online name "Night Emissary." She's a backpacker, an Ethereal story enthusiast, and a connoisseur of late-night food stalls. Records show that Lucia hails from a tribe living on the outskirts of the city. Legend has it their ancestors once encountered an Ethereal called the "Night Horror" (absent from the Hollow Investigative Association archives), which left them with a strange gift: Ethereals tend not to notice them. The cost, though, is that they dream of the Night Horror at night, and under its influence, they sleepwalk into Hollows, where corruption awaits. Because of this, the tribe took on the role of Nightwatchers. They rest during the day and hunt deep in the night, avoiding the Night Horror's pull. And if anyone must sleep at night, their family will keep vigil at their side until dawn. Lucia grew up surrounded by her kin, and even after arriving in New Eridu, she has kept to the Nightwatcher tradition of staying awake through the night and watching over her cherished friends, shielding them from the Night Horror's reach. Master, if you hear a knock at your window late at night, don't be alarmed. It may just be a sleepless night guardian stopping by to say hello. Additional note: Lucia's pet is "Chestnut," a small, friendly Hati. It once lived in the Hollow's outskirts, but has since moved deeper inside. Even I can no longer detect its exact whereabouts. Increase Trust to Close to unlock more Lucia's father worked with the Defense Force's special forces, and because of his demanding duties, he could only return home once a year. For young Lucia, that time with him felt like a reward in itself. While on leave one time, Lucia's father received an emergency order and had to depart at once. To calm his crying daughter before leaving, he coaxed her into covering her eyes for a game of hide-and-seek. By the time she finished counting and opened them, he was already gone, never to return again. Years later, during an operation in the Town, Lucia came face-to-face with her father, now corrupted into the Wandering Hunter. To the soft tune of a nursery rhyme, she at last brought their unfinished hide-and-seek to an end. The Wandering Hunter laid down his obsession, tainted by miasma, and slowly faded away. Their reunion took place here — as did their farewell. Belle Lucia enjoys traveling the Hollows alone and tracking down Ethereals. She also often shows up with snacks, tapping on the window before slipping into the video store to watch a movie... She's always popping up in different places with a bright smile — just like a little sprite flitting through the night! Wise Ever since getting hooked on Lucia's Bangboo ghost stories, Eous has stopped going to bed on time... Now it just camps out at the front desk, ears pricked for the sound of tapping on the window... What a headache.

How to read this build page

Every Agent build page has 4 parts: a stat table by level, W-Engine/Drive Disc suggestions, a Mindscape roadmap, and recommended teams. Read them in that order — stats tell you "what you need", gear tells you "where to get it", Mindscape tells you "is it worth pulling", teams tell you "who to pair with". The section below explains how to read each part, and it applies the same way to every character on the site.

How to read the stat table and level

The stat table shows values at the ascension breakpoints (usually the final one, e.g. Lv60) — these are BASE stats with no gear added, useful for comparing Agents or checking whether you've ascended far enough. CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG are shown separately because they set the damage ceiling once Drive Disc substats stack on top. If your real stats are lower than the table, you likely haven't fully ascended or leveled yet — it's not a build mistake.

Why the W-Engine and Drive Disc picks make sense

Most Agents have a "signature" W-Engine designed for their exact role, plus a few cheaper standard-banner substitutes. Missing the signature isn't a dead end — most Agents keep most of their power with a well-matched substitute, just short by some amount of total damage.

  • Drive Disc sets (2pc + 4pc) are picked for the set effect that fits that Agent's playstyle (mono-element, Anomaly, stun, and so on).
  • Substats follow a priority that changes by role: Attack-type Agents usually chase CRIT Rate/CRIT DMG before ATK%; Anomaly-type Agents add Anomaly Proficiency to that mix; Stun/Support roles often value survivability or energy stats over pure CRIT.

These weights differ per character — follow the exact substat priority table above rather than applying one formula to every role.

Is Mindscape worth chasing

General rule: M0 (no duplicates) already clears the game's hardest content, even for S-rank Agents. Mindscape is a duplicate-fueled upgrade system, and each level costs more resources for a smaller power gain. For most Agents, the best value stop is usually M1–M2 (where some key effects unlock), while M6 is almost always for players chasing the absolute ceiling, not a requirement. Check the Mindscape section in the table above for that specific Agent's numbers.

Skill priority by role

There's no single order for every Agent, but the general pattern by role is:

  • Attack: level the main damage skill first (Basic or Special Attack depending on kit), Dash/Dodge last.
  • Stun: prioritize whichever skill builds Daze/Stun fastest, since the stun window is where the whole team dumps damage.
  • Support: prioritize buff or energy-generating skills over personal damage — this role's value comes from lifting the whole team.
  • Anomaly: prioritize the skill that stacks anomaly buildup, since most of the damage comes from the triggered effect, not the direct hit.

Always level the Core Skill steadily alongside the rest — it's a baseline stat that affects the whole rotation, not just one move.

Where to dig deeper

This section only teaches you how to read the page — for deeper comparisons, use the dedicated tools:

  • Tier list to see where this Agent stands against the full roster.
  • Teams for full in-game comps, including Bangboo and rotation order.
  • Disc score to check how your current gear scores against the benchmark.

Lucia FAQ

What is the best W-Engine for Lucia?

Lucia performs best with Dreamlit Hearth. See alternatives and required stats in the Gear section above.

Is Lucia worth pulling?

Very much worth pulling if you invest in any Rupture team — Lucia is the BiS HP/Sheer support, raising the damage ceiling for Yixuan, Yidhari, and Manato alike. Her buffs are extremely strong with good uptime; her only limitation is that she shines almost exclusively within the Rupture archetype and sees little use elsewhere.

What is the best team for Lucia?

Lucia works best in the Yixuan Sheer team. Full members and rotation are in the Teams section.

Who voices Lucia in Zenless Zone Zero?

Lucia (faction Spook Shack, birthday March 17th) is voiced according to the official credits published on the HoYoverse Wiki. See the full English/Japanese/Korean/Chinese voice actor list in the "Voice Actors & Character Info" block above — this data is pulled directly from the official wiki, not guessed.

Which Mindscape of Lucia is worth investing in?

Lucia has 6 Mindscape tiers (M1-M6), each unlocking its own effect detailed in the "Mindscape" block above (official wording). Mindscapes cost Mindscape Cinema currency farmed from limited banners, so weigh it against your budget — F2P players usually stop at M0-M1 and prioritize W-Engine and Drive Discs before pushing Mindscape higher.

How much Denny and how many materials to level Lucia to Lv60?

Leveling Lucia to max Lv60 (ascension + basic skills to 12 + core skill A→F) costs roughly 1,706,000 Denny, plus role-specific ascension materials, attribute-specific skill chips, high-dimensional data, and weekly boss drops — see the full list with exact quantities in the "Materials Needed" block above, sourced from the game's official leveling tables.
