4pc Yunkui Tales boosts HP, stacks CRIT Rate and fuels Sheer Force, while 2pc Woodpecker Electro adds more CRIT Rate — the cleanest combo.

Quick verdict

Worth pulling and leveling if you enjoy a new-style on-field Ice DPS. She's strong because she scales off HP, so she's durable with high burst—but you have to dodge precisely since she burns her own HP, and without her signature W-Engine her power drops noticeably.

Stat targets

Level 60 targets : WITH her signature Kraken's Cradle: HP ~21,000+ (read on slot 5) / Crit Rate ~68% / Crit DMG ~130%+; WITHOUT signature: HP ~21,000 / CR ~55% / CD ~120% (some tables list HP ~19,200 / CR ~65.8% / CD ~133%). Core principle: stack HP FIRST because all her damage is Sheer damage that scales with HP and ignores DEF; keep HP at or below 50% to hit the damage buff worth up to +100%. Main stats: slot 4 Crit Rate/Crit DMG · slot 5 HP% (or Ice DMG) · slot 6 HP%. Substat priority: Crit Rate > Crit DMG > HP% > ATK%.

Rotation & combos

1) OPENER: swap in with free starting Adrenaline and HOLD Basic to build the 3-stage charge. 2) Release the Ice charged Basic (Frostbite Embrace) to drain HP and stack Decibels very fast, then hit EX Special to heal back — keep HP around 30-50% to sit in the buff zone. 3) Catch the enemy's counter/parry window and chain into Basic 3 (Crushing Strike) for heavy damage; loop charge-into-EX. 4) When Decibels are full she auto-consumes 3000 to trigger Ether Veil at the end of a Basic/EX string → opens a ~30s window. 5) ULTIMATE: within the 30s window unleash the wide Ice AoE Ultimate, then return to step 2. Always prioritize dodge/counter since she self-drains HP — overshooting the drain gets her killed.

Pros
  • Sheer damage ignores enemy DEF — extremely consistent against bosses/high-armor foes, no DEF damage-reduction to worry about.
  • Self-sufficient HP loop: self-drains HP to build Sheer Force + Decibels, then self-heals via EX/counter — low reliance on a dedicated healer, sustains herself in her own way.
  • The lower her HP the stronger she gets: staying at or below 50% HP unlocks a damage buff worth up to +100%, turning risk into very high burst output.
  • Flexible teams: runs from F2P mono-ice (Soukaku/Lycaon) up to a premium Rupture comp (Dialyn Stun + Lucia Support), easy to slot by budget.
Cons
  • High-risk low-HP playstyle: deliberately dropping to <=50% HP for damage makes her very exposed to one-shots; one mistimed beat and she's down, demanding precise dodge/counter.
  • High execution skill required: HP management, 3-stage charging, counter timing and managing the 30s Ether Veil window — not a point-and-shoot attacker.
  • Reliant on her signature Kraken's Cradle (HP + Sheer/CRIT) to hit clean numbers; off-signature her Crit/HP targets drop noticeably and power falls.

Endgame mode fit

Shiyu Defense

Excellent in Shiyu Defense: an on-field single-target DPS whose armor-piercing Sheer DMG plus low-HP burst melts bosses inside the stun window. With Dialyn (extended stun) + Lucia (Rupture amp) she's a top single-side clearer; the community rate her highly.

Deadly Assault

Also strong in Deadly Assault: DEF-ignoring Sheer DMG suits multi-phase high-HP fights, and her wide-AoE Ultimate clears clusters. She needs a steady self-drain/self-heal rhythm to avoid dying mid-fight; a Rupture comp with Lucia + an ice Stunner scores consistently.

Skills

Basic Attack3

Basic Attack: Crushing Strike
Press to activate: Unleashes up to 3 strikes, dealing Ice DMG. On the 3rd hit, Yidhari recovers 10% HP.

Basic Attack: Frostbite Embrace
Hold to activate: Yidhari begins charging, continuously consuming HP to reach up to three levels of charge. When is released, Yidhari unleashes a powerful charged hammer attack in front based on the current charge level, dealing massive Ice DMG. The higher Yidhari's HP, the faster charging consumes it. HP consumption will at most reduce Yidhari's HP to 25% of Max HP. At 2 charge levels, after using the skill, press to immediately follow up with the 3rd hit of Basic Attack: Crushing Strike. The DMG of a Basic Attack: Crushing Strike triggered this way increases based on the current charge level, up to 30%. At 3 charge levels, Yidhari gains increased Anti-Interrupt level during the charged skill. Press to chain early into the finishing smash.

Frost's Crushing Weight
While charging or spinning during Basic Attack: Frostbite Embrace, if hit by an enemy, Yidhari can block with her tentacles, reducing the DMG taken by 25%. If charging or not yet at full charge, Yidhari counterattacks with her tentacles, returning to the charging stance and instantly gaining 1 charge level, while also dealing Ice DMG to enemies ahead. While Frost's Crushing Weight is active, pressing makes Yidhari immediately unleash the finishing slam of Basic Attack: Frostbite Embrace based on her current charge level. While Frost's Crushing Weight is active, pressing or makes Yidhari unleash a Special Attack: Surging Cold, Crushing Pursuit that is guaranteed to trigger Surging Cold.

Dodge3

Dodge: Dreamshift
Press to activate: A quick dash dodge. Character is invulnerable while using this skill.

Dash Attack: Frostbloom Impact
Press during a dodge to activate: Strike forward, dealing Ice DMG.

Dodge Counter: Icehaul Reverb
Press during a Perfect Dodge to activate: Strikes enemies in front, dealing Ice DMG. Character is invulnerable while using this skill.

Assist3

Quick Assist: Frostshock Reinforcement
When the active character is launched, press to activate: Strikes enemies in front, dealing Ice DMG. Character is invulnerable while using this skill.

Defensive Assist: Flashquake Rejection
When the on-field character is about to be attacked, press to activate: Parries the enemy's attack, dealing massive Daze. Character is invulnerable while using this skill.

Assist Follow-Up: Glacial Onslaught
Press after a Defensive Assist to activate: Execute an ice shard hammer attack against enemies in front, dealing Ice DMG. Character is invulnerable while using this skill.

Special Attack4

Special Attack: Cease Thoughts
Press to activate: Launches enemies in front into the air, dealing Ice DMG. Anti-Interrupt level is increased while using this skill.

EX Special Attack: Frost Coil
With enough Adrenaline, press to activate: Perform two consecutive upward strikes, then release an icy mist, dealing massive Ice DMG. If EX Special Attack: Frost Coil hits an enemy, Yidhari recovers HP at the end of the skill equal to 33% of her missing HP. Character is invulnerable while using this skill.

Special Attack: Surging Cold, Crushing Pursuit
Press or while charging or spinning during Basic Attack: Frostbite Embrace, or press while holding to activate: Launches enemies in front into the air, dealing Ice DMG. When the skill's attack collides with an enemy's attack, it triggers Surging Cold. If the skill hits a Stunned enemy, and with sufficient Adrenaline, it triggers Crushing Pursuit. Triggering Surging Cold or Crushing Pursuit instantly raises the charge level to maximum. During this skill, press and Yidhari will immediately unleash the finishing slam of Basic Attack: Frostbite Embrace based on the current charge level. Anti-Interrupt level is increased while using this skill.

EX Special Attack: Glacial Crush
When triggering Surging Cold or Crushing Pursuit, and with enough Adrenaline, press or to activate: Dash forward with an upward attack, then leap into the air before delivering a powerful downward smash, dealing massive Ice DMG. If EX Special Attack: Glacial Crush hits an enemy, Yidhari heals at the end of the skill for 33% of her missing HP. If the skill is used after Surging Cold, it grants an additional 15 Adrenaline. This effect can trigger once every 1s. After using this skill, press to immediately unleash the finishing slam of Basic Attack: Frostbite Embrace based on the current charge level. Character is invulnerable while using this skill.

Chain Attack3

Chain Attack: Frostbound Oath
When a Chain Attack is triggered, select the character to activate: Unleash a powerful strike against enemies in a small area ahead, dealing massive Ice DMG. If inside Ether Veil: Wellspring, tentacles join in the assault, further enhancing the skill's power. Character is invulnerable while using this skill.

Ether Veil: Wellspring
When Decibel Rating is at Maximum, the final hit of Basic Attack: Frostbite Embrace, EX Special Attack: Frost Coil, EX Special Attack: Glacial Crush, and Chain Attack: Frostbound Oath will consume 3,000 Decibels to activate an Ether Veil: Wellspring. While Ether Veil: Wellspring is active, all squad members' Max HP increase by 5% for 30s. Repeated triggers extend the duration, up to a maximum of 300s. While Yidhari is within Ether Veil: Wellspring, the charge speed of Basic Attack: Frostbite Embrace increases, and HP is consumed faster during charging.

Ultimate: Final Act - Crossing the River of Regret
After Yidhari expends Decibels to activate Ether Veil: Wellspring, press within 30s to activate: Deliver a powerful strike to enemies in a large area ahead, dealing massive Ice DMG. Character is invulnerable while using this skill. Each time Yidhari expends Decibels to activate an Ether Veil: Wellspring, she can use Ultimate: Final Act - Crossing the River of Regret once.

Core Skill2

Core Passive: Dreamscape Collection
Yidhari gains extra Sheer Force based on her Max HP, with every 1 point of Max HP increasing Sheer Force by 0.1. All Ice DMG dealt by Yidhari deals is Sheer DMG, ignoring enemy DEF and using her Sheer Force stat as the DMG Multiplier. When Yidhari enters battle, she immediately gains 60 Adrenaline. In Investigation Zone Mode, this effect can trigger once every 180s. Yidhari's skill DMG increases as her current HP percentage decreases. When her HP falls below 50%, the buff reaches its maximum value, increasing her DMG by up to 50%. Once her HP is restored to 50%, the maximum bonus remains for 5s thereafter. Yidhari gains fewer Decibels from landing skills. Instead, she gains Decibels as her HP decreases, with every 1% HP lost granting 10 Decibels.*Stats shown are at Base level.

Additional Ability: Narrative Completion
When another character in your squad is a Stun or Support character: When Yidhari's HP falls below 50%, CRIT DMG increases by 30% and DMG taken is reduced by 25%. While Yidhari is within Ether Veil: Wellspring, she gains the following additional effect: After the level 3 charged attack of Yidhari's Basic Attack: Frostbite Embrace or EX Special Attack: Glacial Crush, an icy tentacle is summoned to attack, dealing extra damage. This effect can trigger once every 12s. The above skill is considered an EX Special Attack, the DMG multiplier increases based on the EX Special Attack's level.

Mindscapes — how far is worth it?

M1 The Past Lost Beneath the Abyss Worth it

The Adrenaline cost to activate Yidhari's EX Special Attack is reduced by 10. After using EX Special Attack: Frost Coil or EX Special Attack: Glacial Crush, keeping hold of the Basic Attack or Special Attack button consumes 35 Adrenaline to forgo healing and immediately chain into another EX Special Attack: Glacial Crush. The HP restored by this EX Special Attack: Glacial Crush is increased by 100% of the original value. Yidhari's Basic Attacks and EX Special Attacks ignore 20% of targets' Ice RES. She plunged into an unfathomable abyss. —What is this place, and where will it carry her? The moment doubt arose, a voice whispered from the darkness: "This is the realm of the unknown, opening the path to all that is known." Endless shadows tumbled down with her. —Who are they, and why do their shadows fall here? As the question rose in her thoughts, the voice replied once more: "They are those cut off from fate. What falls here are the remnants of their past." And so, the little girl hugged herself in solitude, carried downward by countless bygone memories. Her eyes widened in bewilderment, seeing only cold, stillness, and loneliness blooming at the bottom of the abyss.

M2 Who Lingers Here, Lost in Thought? Worth it

Yidhari's CRIT DMG increases by 40%. Triggering Surging Cold or Crushing Pursuit grants Adrenaline regen of 0.5/s for up to 30s. Repeated triggers reset the duration. In the darkness lay the girl's slumbering thoughts. They were not innocent daydreams, nor carefree flights of fancy. Her mind was fixed on the memories she had witnessed. "What must I do? What must I bear?" "Good thing it's me, and not someone else." "I know how to deal with being alone... I think." As she sifted through those pasts, the girl calmly accepted this heavy gift.

M3 A Story Without an Audience Low value

Basic Attack, Dodge, Assist, Special Attack, and Chain Attack Lv. +2 So this is what humanity is — such a complex existence. A lifetime can hold so much joy, and just as much sorrow. Yet now, all of it has fallen into this void, to be swallowed, erased, and buried. No one will ever care again for those joyful laughs, or those grief-stricken cries. Still... every one of those untold stories has been etched into this abyss of the soul.

M4 Blooming in Silence Situational

Yidhari gains 10% more Decibels when losing HP for Core Passive: Dreamscape Collection. While in Ether Veil: Wellspring, Yidhari's Max HP is further increased by 5%. The flower trembled as it bloomed in the dark, white and translucent, as though it reflected the lone light of the abyss's depths. —It was, in truth, a soul, fragile yet unyielding. Amid the countless falling shadows, amid the flood of cascading memories... she remained untouched, still blooming with her own strength. But in the end... will she too fade away, drifting with nothing to hold on to?

M5 This Solace Is Real Low value

Basic Attack, Dodge, Assist, Special Attack, and Chain Attack Lv. +2 "Such beautiful eyes... am I still inside a dream?" It was their first meeting, and her first brush with something real. Amid the emptiness and the grotesque, in the barren abyss that threatened to devour everything, she caught sight of those eyes. They were like a hint of green breaking through the burning desert, like a clear spring rising from a parched riverbed. "I think I've found it... the hope of someone who will willingly respond to me."

M6 At Last, a Peaceful Dream Worth it

After Yidhari spends Decibels to activate or extend Ether Veil: Wellspring, she gains Erudition for 30s. While Erudition is active, her Sheer DMG increases by 25%. Also, upon taking fatal DMG for the first time, her HP is reduced to at most 1, and for the next 5s, she cannot be defeated and will restore 25% HP over time. Immersed in the tide of memories, she had never found even fleeting rest. Her only refuge was solitude, escaping the bustle of the world, losing herself in strange tales, seeking quiet beneath veils of misty rain or within the embrace of warm waters. But now, she can walk calmly among the crowds, no longer troubled by noise or the burning sun, for "illusion" no longer binds her spirit, and "reality" has become the anchor of her soul.

Background & Lore

In addition to her role as an Agent, Yidhari doubles as both a Proxy, and a contributor for Spook Shack. To most, she comes across as laid-back and leisurely, but according to records, it's less "laziness" than a shroud of nothingness, leaving her at odds with the world around her. Perhaps to most people, this would seem like the usual quirk of someone absorbed in their craft. As a gifted writer of bizarre tales, Yidhari should be more prone than most to immersing herself in the worlds of her own imagination. In truth, however, her unusual behavior stems more from the burden of her own abilities. In the Hollows, she's exposed to vast torrents of information unimaginable to most, tangled with years upon years of memories that have amassed there. That crushing weight of countless pasts constantly batters her sense of reality, until even her emotions are gradually worn dull. The fact that she can bear this burden, turn it into her own strength, and still live life in her own way — that's what sets Yidhari apart as gifted beyond others. Increase Trust to Close to unlock more Yidhari has an unusual fondness for rainy days and long baths. These two comforts grant her brief moments of peace in the real world, allowing her moments of rest free from the tangled streams of information in her mind. But lately, her feelings toward these two comforts have changed. She's grown unaccustomed to being alone, no longer anxiously yearning for the rain, no longer relying on warm baths to heal herself. She has begun strolling beneath clear skies, moving with ease through bustling crowds... and looking forward to trying everything that feels new to her. For Yidhari, everything started to change from the moment she met you. Belle Yidhari always seems like she couldn't care less, but she's actually really thoughtful and knows how to take care of others! Once, while I was carrying some videotapes, I got a small cut on my hand without even noticing, and she came right over with a bandage and put it on for me! Wise I know the feeling... When we hung out together before, I was in such a rush, I skipped lunch, and she noticed right away. She said my lips looked pale, so I must have come without eating, even though I couldn't tell myself...

How to read this build page

Every Agent build page has 4 parts: a stat table by level, W-Engine/Drive Disc suggestions, a Mindscape roadmap, and recommended teams. Read them in that order — stats tell you "what you need", gear tells you "where to get it", Mindscape tells you "is it worth pulling", teams tell you "who to pair with". The section below explains how to read each part, and it applies the same way to every character on the site.

How to read the stat table and level

The stat table shows values at the ascension breakpoints (usually the final one, e.g. Lv60) — these are BASE stats with no gear added, useful for comparing Agents or checking whether you've ascended far enough. CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG are shown separately because they set the damage ceiling once Drive Disc substats stack on top. If your real stats are lower than the table, you likely haven't fully ascended or leveled yet — it's not a build mistake.

Why the W-Engine and Drive Disc picks make sense

Most Agents have a "signature" W-Engine designed for their exact role, plus a few cheaper standard-banner substitutes. Missing the signature isn't a dead end — most Agents keep most of their power with a well-matched substitute, just short by some amount of total damage.

  • Drive Disc sets (2pc + 4pc) are picked for the set effect that fits that Agent's playstyle (mono-element, Anomaly, stun, and so on).
  • Substats follow a priority that changes by role: Attack-type Agents usually chase CRIT Rate/CRIT DMG before ATK%; Anomaly-type Agents add Anomaly Proficiency to that mix; Stun/Support roles often value survivability or energy stats over pure CRIT.

These weights differ per character — follow the exact substat priority table above rather than applying one formula to every role.

Is Mindscape worth chasing

General rule: M0 (no duplicates) already clears the game's hardest content, even for S-rank Agents. Mindscape is a duplicate-fueled upgrade system, and each level costs more resources for a smaller power gain. For most Agents, the best value stop is usually M1–M2 (where some key effects unlock), while M6 is almost always for players chasing the absolute ceiling, not a requirement. Check the Mindscape section in the table above for that specific Agent's numbers.

Skill priority by role

There's no single order for every Agent, but the general pattern by role is:

  • Attack: level the main damage skill first (Basic or Special Attack depending on kit), Dash/Dodge last.
  • Stun: prioritize whichever skill builds Daze/Stun fastest, since the stun window is where the whole team dumps damage.
  • Support: prioritize buff or energy-generating skills over personal damage — this role's value comes from lifting the whole team.
  • Anomaly: prioritize the skill that stacks anomaly buildup, since most of the damage comes from the triggered effect, not the direct hit.

Always level the Core Skill steadily alongside the rest — it's a baseline stat that affects the whole rotation, not just one move.

Where to dig deeper

This section only teaches you how to read the page — for deeper comparisons, use the dedicated tools:

  • Tier list to see where this Agent stands against the full roster.
  • Teams for full in-game comps, including Bangboo and rotation order.
  • Disc score to check how your current gear scores against the benchmark.

Yidhari FAQ

What is the best W-Engine for Yidhari?

Yidhari performs best with Kraken's Cradle. See alternatives and required stats in the Gear section above.

Is Yidhari worth pulling?

Worth pulling and leveling if you enjoy a new-style on-field Ice DPS. She's strong because she scales off HP, so she's durable with high burst—but you have to dodge precisely since she burns her own HP, and without her signature W-Engine her power drops noticeably.

What is the best team for Yidhari?

Yidhari works best in the Standard Ice Rupture team. Full members and rotation are in the Teams section.

Who voices Yidhari in Zenless Zone Zero?

Yidhari (faction Spook Shack, birthday March 19th) is voiced according to the official credits published on the HoYoverse Wiki. See the full English/Japanese/Korean/Chinese voice actor list in the "Voice Actors & Character Info" block above — this data is pulled directly from the official wiki, not guessed.

Which Mindscape of Yidhari is worth investing in?

Yidhari has 6 Mindscape tiers (M1-M6), each unlocking its own effect detailed in the "Mindscape" block above (official wording). Mindscapes cost Mindscape Cinema currency farmed from limited banners, so weigh it against your budget — F2P players usually stop at M0-M1 and prioritize W-Engine and Drive Discs before pushing Mindscape higher.

How much Denny and how many materials to level Yidhari to Lv60?

Leveling Yidhari to max Lv60 (ascension + basic skills to 12 + core skill A→F) costs roughly 1,706,000 Denny, plus role-specific ascension materials, attribute-specific skill chips, high-dimensional data, and weekly boss drops — see the full list with exact quantities in the "Materials Needed" block above, sourced from the game's official leveling tables.
