The Main Character is assigned to the entrance of Zone IV, while other pairs report reaching their positions one by one; but the system keeps flashing 'Companion Signal - Failed' — her assigned partner is nowhere to be found even after she waits a long while amid the rustling of trees in the night. Only Jenna appears alongside the Main Character in this chapter, which opens the 'missing partner' mystery that runs through Chapter 03, unlocks Spacepedia entries on No-Hunt Zones and No-Hunt Zone No.7, and leads directly into her risky decision to enter the restricted zone alone in 03-02.
