Where Light Vanishes
After the battle to escape the surrounding Wanderer swarm, Xavier examines the recovered Protocore and confirms it's been modified — clearly the work of Onychinus, an organization based in the N109 Zone, notorious for its ability to tamper with Protocores. He hands the Protocore to the Main Character to bring back to the Association, then prepares to leave. When she asks if he's coming back with her, Xavier simply notes that the moon is much brighter tonight, so this time she won't get lost — an evasive answer laced with quiet concern. This chapter is the first to name Onychinus outright, the central threat that will drive the rest of Chapter 03, while also unlocking slice-of-life features (Claw Machine, Secret Times, Home) and an article about the Twinkle Toys x Cloudy Dreams collaboration. Following directly from 03-07, it closes out the No-Hunt Zone storyline running since 03-01, and leads into the Onychinus investigation arc in 03-09/03-10.
