After a busy first day, the Main Character heads home and receives a late-night call from Caleb — a close friend currently on a military flight assignment far away. They chat warmly, joke about her first day as a Hunter, and make plans to visit Grandma together at the end of the month. Caleb reassures her that the area within the Deepspace Tunnel he's operating in has been fairly peaceful, with few Wanderer sightings. Just as the mood turns warm, the call is abruptly cut short when the Main Character spots a giant eye appearing outside her window — a chilling twist that closes the chapter. The rewards unlock Destiny Café, the Wink Snapshot feature, and a mysterious article about 'proof that the soul exists.' This chapter closes out Chapter 01: To Begin, introduces Caleb as a close friend outside the three main companions, and plants the eerie hook that leads straight into Chapter 02: The First Mission.
