This opening chapter has no direct appearance from the Main Character: DPSC FM broadcasts Linkon City's morning news, interwoven with a mysterious looping signal from the ship Traceback II, stranded at the edge of a black hole. The broadcast recaps how the Deepspace Tunnel appeared fourteen years ago, spawning the Wanderers and giving rise to the Deepspace Hunters, then sends well-wishes to the rookie Hunters — the Main Character among them — as they officially set out on their first assignment. The segment closes by teasing a transdimensional signal called 'Love and Deepspace,' hinting at the story's overarching theme. Xavier, Zayne, and Rafayel each make a brief, unnamed spoiler appearance as silhouettes tied to the journey ahead. This is a pure introduction with no battle or choices, laying out Linkon City, the Wanderers, and the Deepspace Tunnel before Chapter 01-01, where the Main Character officially receives her Hunter badge.
