ジェナはアルファチームに調査任務「命令書85」を課す。リンコン市の複数の地区で発生している異常なエネルギー変動への対応だ。チームはペアで行動するよう命じられ、危険なため立ち入り禁止となっているNo-Hunt Zone No.7の各区画に分かれて向かう。目的はただ一つ、変動源を発見し排除することであり、不要な戦闘よりも安全を優先する。メインキャラクターはZone IVの入り口に配置され、他のペアが次々と配置完了を報告する中、彼女のシステムには「コンパニオン信号－失敗」の表示が繰り返される——夜のざわめく木の葉の音の中で長く待っても、割り当てられた相棒は一向に姿を現さない。本章にはジェナのみがメインキャラクターとともに登場し、Chapter 03を通して続く「行方不明のパートナー」という謎の始まりを告げる。No-Hunt ZoneおよびNo-Hunt Zone No.7に関するスペースペディア項目が解放され、03-02での彼女が単独で禁域に足を踏み入れるという危険な決断へと直接つながっていく。
