Flames Afar

For the Path of: Destruction Tier B

Flames Afar is a 4★ Light Cone for the Path of Destruction in Honkai: Star Rail.

A 4-star Destruction Light Cone whose heal-and-25%-DMG-boost only triggers on a large single-instance HP loss, making it a niche pick for specific HP-consumption mechanics rather than a universal option.

Superimposition

When the wearer's cumulative HP loss during one attack exceeds 25% of their Max HP, or if the amount of their own HP consumed at one time is greater than 25% of their Max HP, immediately heals the wearer for 15% of their Max HP, and at the same time, increases the DMG they deal by 25% for 2 turn(s). Story

"Package secured. I'll leave covering our retreat to you." Their comrade's voice comes through the communicator. They glance around the surroundings, watching as the savaged remnants of their enemies continue to pass through the complex architecture inside the vast and abandoned structure. They are drawing ever closer. "Please hold." After a beat of quietude, a series of apocalyptic explosions rocket up into the sky. Waves of displaced air cast clouds of dust high across the battlefield, and smoke scatter in all directions, the blinding white cleaving light into the night. "You know they purposely planted loads of gunpowder in there, right?" With a rustle, they flung open the cape as if they just finished a leisurely stroll. "Of course." "So, let's light it up. All I need to do is play the part of the match."

Trivia & Origins

HoYoverse's own game data has no gacha table pairing this cone with a specific character, and the internal flavor text doesn't name one either — not enough evidence to assign a signature owner, no guessing.

How to read this Light Cone page

Every Light Cone has exactly one passive effect tied to the wielder's combat performance; that effect scales up as you Superimpose it from S1 to S5 — use the S1-S5 buttons above to see the exact numbers at each level instead of guessing or interpolating. A Light Cone only delivers its full value on a character who shares its Path; "Characters who use this cone" lists every character on that Path, while "Best users" is a narrower list pulled from real build consensus, not a guess.

Base stats (HP/ATK/DEF) are shown at Lv80 for every cone of the same rarity so they can be compared directly; a 5-star cone will always edge out 4-star and 3-star ones here — the real difference lives in the passive effect, not the flat stats. The "Alternative cones on the same Path" section suggests a few other options if you do not own the signature cone yet, or want to compare before spending ascension materials.
