Official description

Devise different kinds of punchlines to entice Aha to join in the revelry

Role in the team

Devises punchlines to summon Aha and strike together — a unique 4.0 mechanic

Why the Path decides your Light Cone: Some Relic sets (the Head piece of a 4-piece Cavern Relic set) and Planar Ornament sets (Sphere/Rope) carry an EXTRA passive condition: it only triggers if the wearer's Path matches the set's specified Path(s) — e.g. "Pan-Cosmic Commercial Enterprise" grants a bonus effect (official-verified coefficient: +10%) on top of its base buff, only when the Path condition is met. This is why matching a character's Path to the set is essential — wear it on the wrong Path and you keep the base buff but lose the bonus passive. (The exact per-set Path list hasn't been publicly disclosed by the developer — check the in-game set description before equipping rather than guessing.)

The newest Path (4.0), no fixed community metaphor yet — the community describes it as "invoking the Aeon Aha", containing both DPS-leaning and support-leaning characters within the same Path.

Elation Path Light Cones

Don't confuse: Blessing Path in the Simulated Universe

This is a SEPARATE system inside the Simulated Universe roguelike mode, not a character's actual Path. New players often mix the two up.

Destruction

Survival-oriented — boosts the whole team's staying power.

The Hunt

CRIT / extra-turn / follow-up oriented — increases action frequency.

Erudition

Ultimate-oriented — funnels resources into big Ultimates.

Harmony

Break DMG oriented.

Nihility

DoT / lingering-debuff oriented.

Remembrance

Built around the Memosprite mechanic — distinct from other Paths.

Preservation and Abundance have no dedicated Blessing Path in Simulated Universe (as of last recorded version) — not fabricated.

Characters who can Switch Path

Two characters can SWITCH Path: the Trailblazer (5 Paths depending on story branch: Destruction/Preservation/Harmony/Remembrance/Nihility) and March 7th (2 Paths: Preservation/Hunt). Rule: you cannot field two different Path-forms of the SAME character in the SAME team — whichever form you pick, the team only counts that one role.

9 Paths that only exist in the story (not playable)

Mentioned in lore/story only — no playable character carries these Paths. Community-compiled.

Trailblaze (Trailblaze) — Akivili Voracity (Voracity) — Oroboros Beauty (Beauty) — Idrila Permanence (Permanence) — Long Propagation (Propagation) — Tayzzyronth Enigmata (Enigmata) — Mythus Equilibrium (Equilibrium) — HooH Finality (Finality) — Terminus Order (Order) — Ena

Team Path Checker — what's your team missing?

Pick 4 characters and instantly see if your team lacks a tank, a healer, or is overloaded on damage.

Baseline rule for new players: a 4-member team SHOULD have at least 1 Preservation character (tanking/shield) OR 1 Abundance character (healing) — missing both makes the team fragile in hard content.
