Quick verdict

Soldier 11 is a simple 1.0-era Fire DPS — solid damage if you nail the Charged rhythm, but Evelyn, Burnice, and newer Fire comps have long since left her behind. Her kit leans on double Chain, so she needs a good support (Astra) to reach full power. Only invest if you're fond of her or short on Fire DPS; she's not a pull priority in the 3.0 meta.

Stat targets

No source pins exact Lv60 ATK/CRIT numbers, so this is qualitative. Disc main stats: Slot 4 CRIT Rate or CRIT DMG · Slot 5 Fire DMG · Slot 6 ATK%. Substat priority: CRIT Rate ≈ CRIT DMG > ATK% > PEN. The key goal is pushing CRIT Rate as close to 100% as possible so her Fire Suppression slashes never miss a crit, then stack CRIT DMG and ATK. As a pure Attacker any Attack engine that gives the ATK/CR/CD trio works; don't invent hard numbers — farm substats in the order above until Crit Rate is near the cap.

Rotation & combos

1) OPENER: fire EX Special to fire-enchant and enter Fire Suppression (with M1 the energy is already there). 2) INTO COMBO: run the enchanted Basic string — each Fire Suppression slash deals Fire DMG; try to reach the 4th slash (her strongest hit). 3) As Fire Suppression is about to expire, re-enchant with EX Special / Chain, then continue the Basic string. 4) CHAIN/ULT: line up Chain and Ultimate inside the enemy's stun window for multiplied damage (with M6 these load Charge to ignore 25% Fire RES); in a fire team, let Soldier 11's Chain go LAST once the enemy is Dazed. 5) Safety: without M4, dodge incoming counters before committing to the 4th slash, since that hit is easily interrupted.

Pros
  • A dead-simple Fire Attacker, point-and-shoot: her output comes from the Fire Suppression Basic string with no anomaly or complex resource management — very beginner-friendly.
  • Stable Fire damage with high multipliers concentrated in the Fire Suppression slashes (~50% of total) — when you keep the rhythm, output is very consistent and free of anomaly RNG.
  • Cheap and accessible: as a standard-banner agent she's easy for F2P to get; her signature The Brimstone isn't mandatory — A-rank Attack engines (Cannon Rotor) or off-element S-ranks (Steel Cushion) still give solid total damage.
Cons
  • Left behind by the meta: newer Fire DPS (Evelyn, Burnice, Fire Disorder comps) far outclass her in both damage ceiling and flexibility — Soldier 11 is now a sentimental or stopgap pick when short on Fire DPS (B-tier in the 3.0 meta).
  • Her 4th slash (biggest hit) is easily interrupted without M4 — in endgame full of counters and boss movement you can lose her most important damage, demanding a stable combat window and good timing.
  • Almost no team utility (no buffs, no meaningful shred beyond her own Fire RES) — she needs a good stunner + Fire support (Koleda/Lucy/Astra) to reach full power, and is less self-sufficient than modern DPS.

Recommended Bangboo

Rocketboo — A bangboo that boosts the team's Fire buildup, keeping enemies burning... Officer Gulliver — An S-rank bangboo that directly boosts damage dealt, a strong generic...

Endgame mode fit

Shiyu Defense

Better suited to Shiyu Defense thanks to its single/low-target nature: a mono-fire team (Koleda to stun + Lucy/Ben, or add Astra) dumps the Fire Suppression string into the Daze window to melt bosses. Still clears floors, but scoring/clear speed trails newer Fire DPS; a reliable pick for fans or Fire-DPS-starved rosters, not a leaderboard carry.

Deadly Assault

Weaker in Deadly Assault: the mode favors multiple high-HP foes and rewards big breaks, while Soldier 11 is a single-target DPS with no strong AoE or team utility. She still contributes if well-built and paired with a good stunner/support, but struggles to hit top scores — prefer slotting her into single-target lanes.

Mindscapes — how far is worth it?

M1 Rapid Heat Situational

When Soldier 11 enters combat or switches in, if her Energy is less than 40, her Energy is recovered to 80. This effect can trigger once every 50s. Long-term high-intensity combat training allows Soldier 11 to complete mastery of her regulatory systems. She will always strive to ensure that she's in the best shape for each and every battle.

M2 Scorching Convergence Worth it

When triggering Fire Suppression, Basic Attack, Dash Attack, and Dodge Counter DMG increases by 3%, up to 12 stacks, lasting 15s, with the duration of each stack calculated separately. "She may look cold and hard, like a big ice cube... But actually, she's scalding hot inside, like a blazing fire." — From an anonymous soldier of the Obsidian Division

M3 Elite Soldier Low value

Basic Attack, Dodge, Assist, Special Attack, and Chain Attack Lv. +2 Soldier 11 always expects the most from herself, no matter if it's in training or physical combat. That is how she maintains her combat prowess.

M4 Indulgent Blaze Situational

If Fire Suppression is triggered during the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd hit of Soldier 11's Basic Attack or a Dash Attack, Anti-Interrupt Level increases and DMG received is reduced by 18% during skill activation. If Fire Suppression is triggered during the 4th hit of her Basic Attack, she becomes invulnerable during skill activation. She envies fire. And these smoldering flames will always help her.

M5 Perfect Soldier Low value

Basic Attack, Dodge, Assist, Special Attack, and Chain Attack Lv. +2 The road from elite to exemplar is long and difficult, but Soldier 11 grits her teeth and perseveres, as if there's something pushing her towards the goal of becoming a perfect soldier...

M6 Scorching Flow Worth it

When Soldier 11 uses her EX Special Attack, Chain Attack, or Ultimate, she gains 8 stacks of Charge (max 8 stacks). When Fire Suppression is triggered, 1 stack of Charge is consumed, causing the current move to ignore 25% of the target's Fire RES. The flames of the sword distorted the air with their heat. Her movements grew ever more impassioned, as if that heat seeped into her spirit with every breath, igniting her thoughts.

"...My name? I gave it up long ago." It's only a reminder of my past, and the past makes you weak." Soldier 11 is a fan of spicy food, and likes the super-spicy noodles served at Waterfall Soup. It's worth noting she currently calls us by a different name every time she greets us. Additional information regarding Soldier 11 is still being obtained. Belle Cats, super spicy noodles, going on missions, and everyone in Obol Squad... These are what make up Soldier 11's current life... I hope we one day hold a place in her heart as well~ Wise I'm sure we will! But really, I just hope Soldier 11 remembers our name someday...

How to read this build page

Every Agent build page has 4 parts: a stat table by level, W-Engine/Drive Disc suggestions, a Mindscape roadmap, and recommended teams. Read them in that order — stats tell you "what you need", gear tells you "where to get it", Mindscape tells you "is it worth pulling", teams tell you "who to pair with". The section below explains how to read each part, and it applies the same way to every character on the site.

How to read the stat table and level

The stat table shows values at the ascension breakpoints (usually the final one, e.g. Lv60) — these are BASE stats with no gear added, useful for comparing Agents or checking whether you've ascended far enough. CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG are shown separately because they set the damage ceiling once Drive Disc substats stack on top. If your real stats are lower than the table, you likely haven't fully ascended or leveled yet — it's not a build mistake.

Why the W-Engine and Drive Disc picks make sense

Most Agents have a "signature" W-Engine designed for their exact role, plus a few cheaper standard-banner substitutes. Missing the signature isn't a dead end — most Agents keep most of their power with a well-matched substitute, just short by some amount of total damage.

  • Drive Disc sets (2pc + 4pc) are picked for the set effect that fits that Agent's playstyle (mono-element, Anomaly, stun, and so on).
  • Substats follow a priority that changes by role: Attack-type Agents usually chase CRIT Rate/CRIT DMG before ATK%; Anomaly-type Agents add Anomaly Proficiency to that mix; Stun/Support roles often value survivability or energy stats over pure CRIT.

These weights differ per character — follow the exact substat priority table above rather than applying one formula to every role.

Is Mindscape worth chasing

General rule: M0 (no duplicates) already clears the game's hardest content, even for S-rank Agents. Mindscape is a duplicate-fueled upgrade system, and each level costs more resources for a smaller power gain. For most Agents, the best value stop is usually M1–M2 (where some key effects unlock), while M6 is almost always for players chasing the absolute ceiling, not a requirement. Check the Mindscape section in the table above for that specific Agent's numbers.

Skill priority by role

There's no single order for every Agent, but the general pattern by role is:

  • Attack: level the main damage skill first (Basic or Special Attack depending on kit), Dash/Dodge last.
  • Stun: prioritize whichever skill builds Daze/Stun fastest, since the stun window is where the whole team dumps damage.
  • Support: prioritize buff or energy-generating skills over personal damage — this role's value comes from lifting the whole team.
  • Anomaly: prioritize the skill that stacks anomaly buildup, since most of the damage comes from the triggered effect, not the direct hit.

Always level the Core Skill steadily alongside the rest — it's a baseline stat that affects the whole rotation, not just one move.

Where to dig deeper

This section only teaches you how to read the page — for deeper comparisons, use the dedicated tools:

  • Teams for full in-game comps, including Bangboo and rotation order.
  • Disc score to check how your current gear scores against the benchmark.

Soldier 11 FAQ

What is the best W-Engine for Soldier 11?

Soldier 11 performs best with The Brimstone. See alternatives and required stats in the Gear section above.

Is Soldier 11 worth pulling?

Soldier 11 is a simple 1.0-era Fire DPS — solid damage if you nail the Charged rhythm, but Evelyn, Burnice, and newer Fire comps have long since left her behind. Her kit leans on double Chain, so she needs a good support (Astra) to reach full power. Only invest if you're fond of her or short on Fire DPS; she's not a pull priority in the 3.0 meta.

What is the best team for Soldier 11?

Soldier 11 works best in the Belobog Fire team. Full members and rotation are in the Teams section.

Who voices Soldier 11 in Zenless Zone Zero?

Soldier 11 (faction Obol Squad, birthday March 21) is voiced according to the official credits published on the HoYoverse Wiki. See the full English/Japanese/Korean/Chinese voice actor list in the "Voice Actors & Character Info" block above — this data is pulled directly from the official wiki, not guessed.

Which Mindscape of Soldier 11 is worth investing in?

Soldier 11 has 6 Mindscape tiers (M1-M6), each unlocking its own effect detailed in the "Mindscape" block above (official wording). Mindscapes cost Mindscape Cinema currency farmed from limited banners, so weigh it against your budget — F2P players usually stop at M0-M1 and prioritize W-Engine and Drive Discs before pushing Mindscape higher.

How much Denny and how many materials to level Soldier 11 to Lv60?

Leveling Soldier 11 to max Lv60 (ascension + basic skills to 12 + core skill A→F) costs roughly 1,706,000 Denny, plus role-specific ascension materials, attribute-specific skill chips, high-dimensional data, and weekly boss drops — see the full list with exact quantities in the "Materials Needed" block above, sourced from the game's official leveling tables.
