Best Zenless Zone Zero Teams

What is the best ZZZ team?

This page gathers the 14 strongest teams of the current version into one LIVE board: each team spells out its core (who deals the damage), the rotation beat by beat, and a cheaper swap if you don't own the limited unit. Filter by tier (S+/S/A) or element, and tap any member to see the full build. The one thing to remember before you scroll: a ZZZ team is always 3 Agents plus 1 Bangboo, built on the formula 1 damage dealer + 1 stun/anomaly + 1 support/defense — learn that formula and you can build a team around any character you're raising.

14 meta teams for 3.0 — core, rotation and budget swaps for each team.

Updated for version 3.0 · 03/07/2026
Ye Shunguang Burst (Enlightened) S+
Ye Shunguang is the strongest burst DPS in 3.0, entering the Enlightened Mind state to unleash massive, sustained damage.

Rotation: Dialyn comes out to stun the enemy, stacking a 40% DMG buff and boosting the Stun Multiplier while also gifting a free Ultimate. Sunna applies the Cat's Gaze and Ether Veil debuffs to pile on damage, then hands the field to Ye Shunguang to unload the Enlightened combo. Repeat once the state ends.

Swaps: Swap Sunna for Seed (Electric sub-DPS) if you want more damage, or any ATK support.

Miyabi Frost Disorder S+
A top-tier Ice anomaly team: Yanagi triggers Disorder to rapidly build Fallen Frost stacks for Miyabi's AoE nuke.

Rotation: Astra Yao opens by buffing the whole team's ATK/DMG/CRIT DMG. Yanagi comes out to build Electric anomaly, then switch to Miyabi to trigger Ice-Electric Disorder and pile on stacks. Once Shimotsuki is fully charged, Miyabi unleashes a wide sweep, cycling continuously between Yanagi and Miyabi.

Swaps: Swap Astra Yao for Soukaku (A, 4-star ice buffer) or Burnice for a cheaper anomaly build.

Velina Wind Vortex (new 3.0 team) S+
Velina is the first Wind agent, turning Disorder into the new Vortex reaction and acting as a pseudo-stunner for Aria to unleash Abloom.

Rotation: Yuzuha buffs Anomaly Buildup, Anomaly DMG and Disorder DMG for the whole team while attacking off-field. Velina builds Vortex and racks up Daze extremely fast to stun the enemy. Aria comes out to exploit the stun window, pouring out Abloom and the highest anomaly buildup in the game. Cycle Velina and Aria continuously.

Swaps: Swap Aria for Vivian or off-field Burnice for a more economical Vortex build.

Yixuan Sheer Rupture S
Yixuan is a Rupture DPS with absolute armor penetration—no DEF shred needed—dealing enormous Sheer DMG.

Rotation: Ju Fufu stuns the enemy and shoulders the Daze, while Lucia buffs Sheer DMG for the Rupture roster and provides healing. Switch to Yixuan when Ultimate is up to unleash a chain of Sheer DMG in her empowered state. Keep the stun going with Ju Fufu between beats.

Swaps: Swap Lucia for Dialyn (CRIT DMG buff + extra Ultimate) if you don't have Lucia.

Evelyn Fire Chain Attack S
Evelyn stacks up huge damage through Fire Chain Attacks when buffed and given plenty of follow-up openings.

Rotation: Dialyn stuns the enemy and pushes the Stun Multiplier, while Astra Yao buffs DMG/CRIT DMG and provides plenty of Quick Assists to open extra Chain Attacks. Switch to Evelyn to unleash Fire Chain Attacks on the dazed enemy, exploiting the buff window.

Swaps: Swap Astra Yao for Lighter (S, fire stun) or Nicole to lower the team's cost.

Vivian Disorder Anomaly S
A double-anomaly team: Vivian and Yanagi alternate building cross-element anomalies to detonate Disorder and Abloom nonstop.

Rotation: Astra Yao buffs the whole team and creates Quick Assists. Yanagi builds Electric anomaly, Vivian builds Ether anomaly, swapping back and forth to trigger Disorder off-field. Vivian stays on field most of the time to pile on Abloom, while Yanagi drops anomaly then retreats.

Swaps: Swap Astra Yao for Rina (S, Electric support) for a cheaper mono-Electric build.

Alice Physical Anomaly S
Alice is a Physical Anomaly DPS who triggers multiple anomalies and Disorder at once to rain down damage.

Rotation: Yuzuha buffs Anomaly Buildup/DMG/Disorder and attacks off-field, letting Alice hold the field. Vivian adds extra anomaly application off-field to create cross Disorder. Alice stays on field unloading her Physical combo, syncing the beat with Yuzuha's and Vivian's off-field hits.

Swaps: Swap Vivian for Jane (S) or Nicole for a more economical Alice build.

Zhu Yuan Shotgun Ether S
Zhu Yuan rains down Enhanced Shotshells for massive damage on stunned enemies thanks to her Core Skill.

Rotation: Qingyi comes out to stun and boost the Stun Multiplier, while Astra Yao buffs DMG/CRIT DMG across the board. Switch to Zhu Yuan when the enemy is dazed to unload a volley of Enhanced Shotshells in the stun window. Maintain Daze with Qingyi between firing beats.

Swaps: Swap Astra Yao for Nicole (A, Ether support that gathers mobs + reduces DEF) for an almost free team.

Hugo Ice Attack S
Hugo is an Ice Attack DPS whose damage scales with how long the enemy stays stunned, so you need to stun fast and hold it long.

Rotation: Lighter stuns quickly, boosts Ice DMG and lowers the enemy's Ice RES; Astra Yao buffs DMG and opens Quick Assists. When the enemy is dazed, switch to Hugo to unleash an ice combo that ramps up with the length of the stun.

Swaps: Swap Astra Yao for Lycaon (S, ice stun) or Soukaku for a cheaper mono-ice build.

Seed Electric Vanguard S
Seed relies on the Vanguard mechanic, powerfully buffing the main DPS then adding extra Electric damage off-field.

Rotation: Trigger stuns off-field and loads up buffs, Seed activates Vanguard to pour buffs onto the carry. Orphie & Magus come out as the main DPS to soak up all of Seed's buffs, unloading a Fire combo. Cycle Trigger and Seed off-field, keeping Orphie & Magus on field as much as possible.

Swaps: Swap Orphie & Magus for Soldier 0 - Anby, or Trigger for Astra Yao depending on whether you need stun or buff.

Soldier 0 - Anby Mono-Electric S
A mono-Electric team: Soldier 0 - Anby unleashes powerful lightning chains in her empowered state once fueled with enough Quick Assists.

Rotation: Astra Yao buffs ATK/DMG/CRIT DMG and creates a flood of Quick Assists; Trigger stuns off-field and adds extra Electric. Switch to Soldier 0 - Anby to unload the lightning combo once resources are stocked, cycling the assist beat continuously.

Swaps: Swap Astra Yao for Rina or Trigger for Qingyi depending on whether you want buff or stun.

Pyrois Ether (new 3.0 team) S
Pyrois is Phaethon's combat form, a Z-Rank Ether DPS with multiple different Ultimates to rotate through.

Rotation: Sunna and Dialyn stun the enemy and dump all their buffs/debuffs off-field to give Pyrois as much field time as possible. Dialyn gifts an extra Ultimate so Pyrois can fire off her different Ultimates more often, stacking DPS in the buff window.

Swaps: Swap Sunna for Astra Yao (all-round support) if you don't have Sunna.

Velina Corrosive Chill (new 3.0 team) S
Velina grants Vortex and Abloom to help Promeia build Corrosive Chill with ease, forming an ultra-smooth Wind-Ice anomaly team.

Rotation: Yuzuha buffs Anomaly for the whole team and attacks off-field. Velina builds Vortex, racks up Daze and acts as a pseudo-stunner. Promeia leverages Vortex/Abloom to build Corrosive Chill, unleashing continuous Ice anomaly damage thanks to easy resource management.

Swaps: Swap Promeia for Vivian or off-field Burnice for an economical Vortex build.

Jane Doe Physical (budget) A
Jane is a Physical Anomaly DPS who relies on Passion to fire relentlessly—a durable, beginner-friendly team.

Rotation: Caesar creates shields, buffs ATK and reduces armor; Seth comes out to build Electric anomaly and load Assist Points for Jane. Switch to Jane to pile on Physical anomaly and Electric-Physical Disorder, holding the field as much as possible to unload the Passion combo.

Swaps: Swap Caesar for Lucy (A, Fire ATK buff) or any cheap ATK support.

Synergy — why the three pieces multiply, not just add

Right roles is only half of it; the other half is the four synergy threads that fuse three Agents into one machine:

  • The stun window (Stun/Daze): when an enemy's Daze bar fills, it takes sharply increased damage for a few seconds. The whole team funnels its biggest combo into that window — which is exactly why the stunner goes first and the carry follows.
  • Anomaly and Disorder: stacking two different elements on an enemy triggers Disorder, a large burst of damage. Anomaly teams live on the swap rhythm that keeps status constantly building.
  • Element and faction resonance: pairing two Agents of the same element or the same faction opens resonance effects and raises base stats — the board already favors these pairings.
  • Energy loop and Quick Assist: supports pump energy and generate Quick Assists so the carry swaps in for free, keeping the combo rolling instead of standing around waiting on cooldown.

Once you see these four threads, each team's 'Rotation' line stops looking random — it's the exact order that stacks every window at the right moment for peak damage.

Bangboo — the fourth piece everyone forgets

Plenty of players finish their three Agents and leave the Bangboo slot empty — wasting a near-free source of damage and utility. A Bangboo is your fourth 'companion', auto-jumping in to help when you swap. Pick one by three principles, no need to memorize names:

  • Prefer the same element or faction as your carry: the Bangboo then benefits from and amplifies resonance, and its extra hit rides your team's elemental buffs.
  • Energy-starved team, pick an energy Bangboo: if your carry is always waiting on its Ultimate, an energy-charging Bangboo keeps the combo rhythm far smoother.
  • Anomaly team, pick a status Bangboo: it helps stack anomaly faster and trigger Disorder more consistently.

Quick rule: a Bangboo won't change a team's meta, but the right type adds one more free chunk of damage every rotation. Pick wrong and the team still runs — you're just leaving loose change on the table.

Team archetypes — which kind are you building?

Every team on the board falls into a few familiar playstyles. Recognizing the archetype tells you where it's strong and what it needs to run smoothly:

  • Mono-element: the whole team shares one element to max out resonance and RES shred — clean damage, easy to pilot.
  • Faction: built around one gang to open the faction bonus — usually durable with built-in internal buffs.
  • Disorder: two off-element Anomaly units alternating to trigger Disorder over and over — a very high ceiling that rewards clean swapping.
  • Anomaly (single): one anomaly carry plus a status-pushing support, durable and less dependent on stun windows.
  • Stun burst: the stunner opens the window, the carry dumps one massive combo into it — a clear rhythm for players who like 'one big hit'.
  • Rupture: the carry is self-sufficient, less reliant on teammates — easy for busy players with fewer swaps to juggle.

No archetype is 'the right one' — pick the one that fits the Agents you own and the playstyle you enjoy.

F2P teams — strong without a single limited unit

You don't need to win a limited banner to field a strong team. Almost every meta team has a budget version — the trick is swapping the right slot for an A-rank or 4-star from the standard banner (you'll pull those over time anyway):

  • The support slot is where F2P is strongest: many standard buffers and healers keep their value and cover for a limited support across most content.
  • The stun slot: a standard stunner already breaks Daze well enough for day-to-day content.
  • The damage slot: a few standard DPS, built properly, still clear hard content — they lose on ceiling, not on 'clearing the stage'.

The clean method: open the meta team you like on the board, read its Swaps line, and drop the limited slot to the cheaper suggested option — or filter the board to tier A to see budget teams directly. Golden rule: an A-rank with proper Drive discs plus a W-Engine always beats an under-built apex unit.

Where to start — the short advice

If you're stuck, just follow this order and keep it simple:

  • New / few Agents: prioritize a top support or defense unit over a second DPS — a good support lifts every team you build later and pays off far longer.
  • You have one carry you love: build the whole team around it with the 3-slot formula; don't chase another carry until the first team is complete.
  • Low spender: lean on the Swaps line and tier A — everyday content never demands an apex team.
  • Every new version: check the board once before pulling a banner, because the strongest teams shift with the meta.

Bottom line: learn the 3-slot formula, pick one carry you enjoy, and let the board handle the rest — who goes first, who to swap when money's tight, and which Bangboo to pair.

FAQ

How many characters are in a ZZZ team?

Three Agents plus one Bangboo companion. The three Agent slots follow a durable formula: one damage dealer (main DPS) + one stun or anomaly + one support or defense. Learn that frame and you can build a team around any character.

What can I run without any limited units?

Almost every meta team has an F2P version. Open a team you like on the board, read its 'Swaps' line to replace the limited slot with an A-rank or 4-star from the standard banner, or filter to tier A to see budget teams directly. A properly built A-rank still clears hard content well.

Which Bangboo should I use?

Three principles: prefer a Bangboo of the same element or faction as your carry for resonance; if your team is energy-starved, pick an energy-charging Bangboo; for an Anomaly team, pick one that helps stack status fast. The right type adds a near-free chunk of damage each rotation.

How often is the team board updated?

The board is live data, updated every patch or the moment the meta shifts significantly, with the version label right at the top. Each member's build data links automatically, so the suggested teams always match the current version.

Where's the team for my new character?

Filter the board by that character's element, then find the team card with its name in the front slot. Every member links to its build page; read the 'Rotation' line for the swap rhythm. If the character is very new, its team appears as soon as there's enough real build data.

Why isn't there one single 'best team'?

Because the best team depends on the Agents you own, the element you invest in, and the playstyle you prefer. The board gives you many teams precisely so you can pick the one that fits your roster — and it matters more to learn the 3-slot formula so you can optimize on your own.
