Hallowed Fetters - Sublimation
This is a cosmetic skin variant of the base weapon — its appearance changes with the wielder's Elemental Type, and it has no independent Base ATK, substat, or R1→R5 Refinement ranks of its own. Real combat stats come from the base weapon equipped.
Lore
A glorious, illusory catalyst glimmering with the power of "Time" that emerged from the depths of the Ley Lines. It can change its appearance based on the Elemental Type of its user. Legend has it that this catalyst once held the name "Gleipnir" when it was used by a transcendent sinner in an ancient land.
Same-type weapons
What is a weapon appearance (skin), and how is it different from a real weapon?
This is not a standalone weapon with its own stats — it is a Weapon Appearance (skin) applied on top of a base weapon you already own. The Base ATK, substat, passive effect and R1→R5 Refinement ranks all come 100% from the base weapon equipped underneath the appearance — changing the appearance changes zero combat power.
What makes "Ley Line"-style appearances (like the one on this page) special is that their shape changes with the wielder's Elemental Type, unlike a regular appearance which keeps one fixed look on every character.
Which weapons can wear this appearance?
This Catalyst appearance applies to any Catalyst you own, regardless of rarity or specific weapon name. Open your inventory, select the Catalyst you want, open the Weapon Appearance menu and pick this skin to apply it. Removing it never loses the appearance — unlocked appearances are saved permanently to your account and can be re-applied to a different Catalyst any time later.
Does this appearance affect ATK or substats?
No. Weapon appearances are purely cosmetic — no extra Base ATK, no substat change, no passive effect of its own, and no Refinement rank of its own. Real combat power comes 100% from the base weapon underneath; switching between different appearances never makes a character stronger or weaker.
Where do you get it, and is it still available?
Weapon appearances do not drop from Wishes (gacha) and cannot be crafted at the Forge like regular weapons — they are usually tied to a seasonal endgame challenge or a limited-time event, unlike how regular weapons are obtained. Because they're tied to a season/event, a given appearance can go offline and return in a later season, or get replaced by a newer version — check in-game Announcements or the site's Events page for what's currently available; don't assume availability just from when you're reading this.
How is this different from a Character Costume (outfit)?
These are two completely separate systems. A Weapon Appearance (this page) changes the look of whichever Catalyst you're wielding, and can be applied to any Catalyst you own. A Character Costume (outfit) instead changes what one specific character wears, is tied to that single character only, and is unlocked/purchased separately — unlocking one has zero effect on the other.
Does equipping or removing it cost anything?
No. Selecting or removing a weapon appearance from the Weapon Appearance menu is completely free and can be switched back and forth as many times as you like — unlike Refining the base weapon, which costs materials and Mora. The only cost is the one-time unlock itself (obtained from the event/challenge described above); after that, reusing it is free and permanent, no matter how many times you switch it.
Characters who wield Catalyst
This appearance can be applied to any Catalyst — below are 28 playable characters who currently wield a Catalyst. Applying it to any of them changes zero points of damage.
