Episodes Neverness to Everness

8 main-story chapters confirmed by filtering the game's own 188-row chapter table, in real release order.

What this page answers

Which chapters are the real main storyline (not side/companion content), what each one is actually called and what its subtitle is, and — since not every field is published in English yet — exactly which of the 8 still only exist in the original Chinese text.

Quest Categories in Neverness to Everness

Missions are split into six types across the game — each behaves differently on the map and in the quest log.

Episodes The main story quest line. Long, cinematic chapters that carry the core plot forward.
Spinoffs Optional side-story arcs that run parallel to the main chapters, usually centered on one supporting character.
Guide Short, one-step quests tied to raising your Tycoon Level, meant to teach the game's systems.
Bond Short character-focused quests that raise your bond with a specific character. They appear as character icons on the map at set hours, or via a direct message; some can also be started from the Memory Theater.
Side Started by talking to NPCs marked with an exclamation point. Each finished part opens the next as a new entry in your quest log, and the reward only unlocks once the whole chain is done.
Daily Recurring tasks that reset on a timer and hand out regular rewards; see the Daily Activities page for the full list.

Main Chapters — Required Level & Order

Community-tracked

Every main chapter has its own Hunter Level gate, and two of the later chapters can only be started after finishing a specific earlier one.

⚠ Chapter numbering jumps straight from Chapter 5 to Chapter 7 — there is no Chapter 6. This is not a gap in our data; the game itself skips that number, and Chapter 7 is described in-game as the closing part of Chapter 6's arc.

Chapter 4 Ending Choice & How to See the Epilogue

Community-tracked

Near the end of Chapter 4, the player is offered two options for Renée's fate. After choosing, the story closes — but there's a short epilogue easy to miss: go back to the sakura tree at the mansion's entrance at 21:00 and check the small doll at the base of the tree to watch the epilogue scene revealing what ultimately happens to her.

1Take Renée in as a protected anomaly — permanent protection, but the debt collector keeps coming back.
2Let her live out the rest of her life as an ordinary person — free, but the debt collector still appears.

This scene isn't covered on most English guides — it's easy to miss if you don't return to the exact spot at the right in-game hour.

Extracted and filtered directly from the game's DT_QuestChapter table (188 total rows) — chapters shown here are exactly the rows tagged ChapterBaseID = "Main". No location/boss/element data exists in this table for any chapter; those fields are not reported here rather than guessed.

Behind the data: all 188 chapter rows

The game's chapter table holds far more than the 8 main episodes above. Behind the data: 8 rows are tagged as the Main storyline (shown above), 59 rows belong to 20 distinct side/companion story chains (each chain split into 2–3 linked parts, identified by a shared internal ID like "SU026_NPC001"), and 121 rows carry no ChapterBaseID classification at all — most likely internal, tutorial or system-only entries never surfaced as a named chapter in-game. This full breakdown is not published anywhere else — it is our own count of the game's real data, not a copy of any other site's chapter list.

Quick guide
The game's own chapter table holds 188 rows total, but only 8 of them are tagged as the real main storyline. This guide explains how that filter works, what each of the 8 episodes is really called, and what the other 180 rows actually are — instead of copying a chapter list from another site, every number here comes from filtering the game's own DT_QuestChapter table by hand.

Why Only 8 of 188 Rows Count as "Main"

Every row in DT_QuestChapter carries a field called ChapterBaseID. Filtering by ChapterBaseID == "Main" is what isolates the 8 real main-story episodes shown on this page — everything else falls into one of two other buckets: 121 rows have no classification at all (ChapterBaseID == "None"), and 59 rows belong to 20 distinct companion/side-story chains, each split into 2–3 linked parts sharing an internal ID such as "SU026_NPC001".

  • The 8 Main rows are the only ones with a clean, sequential ChapterIndex meant to be read in order — that's why they are presented as a numbered episode list here.
  • 2 of the 8 (Dreamwalk Corridor, Fogden Game) still only have a Chinese-language subtitle in the game's own text tables — no English localization exists yet for that one field, so we show the original text rather than translate it ourselves.
  • Treat the 121 "None" rows as most likely internal/tutorial/system chapters — they carry no name that was ever meant to be user-facing, so listing them as "episodes" would be misleading.

FAQ

Is 8 really the total number of main-story episodes so far?

That is the count that results from filtering the game's own chapter table by ChapterBaseID == "Main" in the data available to us. It is possible the game groups its main story differently than this internal field suggests, but we report the field-based count rather than guess at a different grouping.

Why does the episode order jump from index 9 to index 140?

That is the real ChapterIndex value stored in the game's own data for those two rows (Dreamwalk Corridor at 9, Fogden Game at 140, Fighting with a Dragon at 156) — we display it as-is rather than renumber it ourselves. The large gap likely reflects how the developer's internal index numbering scheme was extended for later content, not a sign of missing chapters in between.
