Xinyan
Xinyan is a tricky 4-star to force into a strong Physical DPS because her kit is dated and leans on niche Superconduct teams, so if you're new, don't pour all your resources into her as a main carry. But don't write her off either: her Skill drops a genuinely handy shield, and just leveling that Skill gives Hu Tao or Itto an interruption-proof barrier to swing freely behind. If you still want the Physical route, farm Energy Recharge first so her Burst comes up every rotation, then chase CRIT and a Physical DMG goblet. For the weapon, a self-forged Prototype Archaic is plenty — no need to pull Redhorn.

Charged Attack
Drains Stamina over time to perform continuous spinning attacks against all nearby opponents.
At the end of the sequence, performs a more powerful slash.
Plunging Attack
Plunges from mid-air to strike the ground below, damaging opponents along the path and dealing AoE DMG upon impact.
Sweeping Fervor
The shield's DMG Absorption scales based on Xinyan's DEF and on the number of opponents hit.
·Hitting 0–1 opponents grants Shield Level 1: Ad Lib.
·Hitting 2 opponents grants Shield Level 2: Lead-In.
·Hitting 3 or more opponents grants Shield Level 3: Rave, which will also deal intermittent Pyro DMG to nearby opponents.
The shield has the following special properties:
·When unleashed, it infuses Xinyan with Pyro.
·It has 250% DMG Absorption effectiveness against Pyro DMG.
Xinyan insists that these pyrotechnics are the apex of performative art, and that they are physical phenomena that have nothing to do with her Vision.
Riff Revolution
The sheer intensity of the atmosphere will cause explosions that deal Pyro DMG to nearby opponents.
Xinyan used to end all her performances with this move. She didn't stop because it was dangerous, however, but because she didn't have a more epic finale in case someone shouted "Encore!"

A Rad Recipe
Combat Rotation
- Open the fight with E (Sweeping Fervor) — try to hit 3 or more enemies to get Shield Level 3 "Rave", which also ticks extra Pyro damage over time.
- The E shield absorbs 250% of Pyro damage and infuses Xinyan with Pyro the moment it's cast.
- While the shield holds (it lasts 12 seconds), swap in your main DPS to attack, using the shield's tankiness to stay safe.
- Once you've built up 60 Energy, unleash Q (Riff Revolution): it launches enemies with Physical damage, then explodes for extra Pyro damage.
- Weave normal and charged claymore attacks together to keep up Physical DPS while skills are on cooldown.
- Recast E every 18 seconds to keep the shield active continuously, and aim for multiple targets to always reach the top shield tier.
- Fire off Q again whenever you hit 60 Energy (15s cooldown) to maximize your burst damage cycles.
Xinyan constellations
Upon scoring a CRIT Hit, increases ATK SPD of Xinyan's Normal and Charged Attacks by 12% for 5s.
Can only occur once every 5s.
Riff Revolution's Physical DMG has its CRIT Rate increased by 100%, and will form a shield at Shield Level 3: Rave when cast.
Increases the Level of Sweeping Fervor by 3.
Maximum upgrade level is 15.
Sweeping Fervor's swing DMG decreases opponent's Physical RES by 15% for 12s.
Increases the Level of Riff Revolution by 3.
Maximum upgrade level is 15.
Decreases the Stamina Consumption of Xinyan's Charged Attacks by 30%. Additionally, Xinyan's Charged Attacks gain an ATK Bonus equal to 50% of her DEF.

Dr. Baizhu's prescriptions are the tops at preserving my voice. I did an impromptu performance for him as thanks, but... the snake he keeps around his neck fainted away. Haha, now it ducks up Dr. Baizhu's sleeve every time I'm around. I only discovered afterwards that snakes are very sensitive to vibrations.
Beidou
Her? She speaks her mind and has a big heart, and we get on great. The Crux's adventures are real epic. They've given me tons of inspiration in the past! I even wrote them a song. Nowadays, I just need to sing the first line, and most all the sailors will join in. It's fast becoming a new sea shanty, it is.
Chongyun
He's one interesting guy. He looks introverted enough, but there was this one time when he came to one of my performances. A friend brought him or something, and he had some words for me, but I couldn't hear 'em over the music. Before I knew it, he was right up there on the stage with me, singing and rockin' his heart out. Guess you really can't judge a book by its cover!
Hu Tao
I've no clue what she's thinking, going around looking all happy-clappy like that when she's the head of the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor. Always greets me cheerily too, saying "I like people who play with fire, they're good for business" or somethin' like that... She's a bit bizarre, I tell you.
Yun Jin
Tell you a secret — but you gotta keep it that way, you hear? She's real fond of rock 'n' roll. Comes to watch me at least three times a week no matter how packed her schedule is. You'd think that the head of Heyu Tea House's troupe would be into finer arts and all, eh? But I guess it gets suffocating after a while. Haha.

The first time Gaming told me I had a bad case of "rock 'n' roll fever," I checked my forehead to see if he was right. My temperature was fine, so I denied it. But he insisted it was true. We went back and forth arguing about it for hours before I realized it was all just a misunderstanding. Gaming explained that it was just another way to say you're a fan of something. Hahaha, there's never a dull moment when Gaming's around. Anyway, I've definitely come 'round to "rock 'n' roll fever" as an expression — I'll have to work it into the lyrics next time I write a song!

Strengths & Weaknesses
- Can shield the team via Sweeping Fervor.
- Has crowd-control (knockback/pull/freeze/stun…) via Riff Revolution.
- The core mechanic (via Sweeping Fervor) scales with DEF — DEF% is a rarely-contested artifact substat, usually easy to roll extra of.
- 4★ (Claymore) — obtainable via the standard wish/banner, no need to pull on a limited banner.
- Since it scales with DEF (via Sweeping Fervor), most teammates' ATK%/EM buffs are nearly useless on it — needs its own dedicated DEF gear/weapon.
- The ascension stat is just plain ATK% — no built-in CRIT/EM/DMG Bonus advantage like many other characters, everything has to be rolled from scratch on artifacts.
