Diona is one of the best team-keepers you can get for free: a durable shield, solid healing, and off-field Cryo that fits Freeze teams like Ayaka's or Ganyu's perfectly. What she needs most is Energy Recharge to Burst every rotation, aim for around 170%+, then pile on HP% for a bigger shield and heals. Weapons are easy: the 4-star Favonius Warbow or Sacrificial Bow is the standard, no 5-star needed. A tiny investment that carries the whole team.

A horrific mix that even Diona considers inhumane. The horrifying foretaste should be left for one's opponents. It has a crisp aftertaste, but unfortunately, one can only feel it on one's nose and skin.

Additionally, Diona will also enter the Radiance: Stellar-Conduct state when she is inside a Polestar Field, or the Radiance: Stellar Swirl state for 8s after a nearby party member triggers a Stellar Swirl reaction.
Combat Rotation
- Before engaging, use Hold on the Elemental Skill (Icy Paws) to get the stronger shield (250% DMG absorption with Hold) and apply Cryo to yourself.
- As soon as the shield is up, swap to your main DPS to take advantage of the fresh Cryo application, triggering reactions with Electro/Pyro if available.
- Once energy hits 80, unleash the Burst (Signature Mix) - it throws a brew that creates a Drunken Mist field dealing continuous Cryo DMG and healing the team for 12 seconds.
- Keep your team standing inside the Burst field as long as possible to soak up the HP-percentage-plus-flat regeneration.
- Weave in Diona's normal/charged shots when you need to refresh the shield timing or add a bit of extra Cryo chip damage.
- When the shield from the Skill expires (about 15s with the Hold cast), recast it before incoming big AoE hits from enemies.
- Repeat the loop - Skill for shield+Cryo, swap to DPS, Burst for heal+DMG once energy is full - prioritizing the Burst right before your main DPS's big damage window for both healing and Cryo synergy.

Strengths & Weaknesses
- At Lv90, Diona already gets +24% Cryo DMG Bonus baked into the ascension stat line — no artifacts needed for this part.
- Can restore HP for the team via Cat's Tail Closing Time.
- Can shield the team via Icy Paws.
- The core mechanic (via Icy Paws) scales with HP — HP% is also an easy-to-find substat, and the character usually comes with high survivability too.
- 4★ (Bow) — obtainable via the standard wish/banner, no need to pull on a limited banner.
- The Normal Attack (via Kätzlein Style) already deals innate Cryo DMG from the start — no need to wait on the Elemental Skill to apply the element.
