Clorinde
Clorinde is a strong, mobile on-field Electro main DPS who self-heals through her Bond of Life, so she leans very little on a dedicated healer. She shines brightest in Aggravate with Nahida or Overload with Chevreuse, as long as teammates don't interrupt her Skill. Her number-one artifact set is 4pc Fragment of Harmonic Whimsy; if you lack Absolution, the 4-star The Black Sword or Finale of the Deep are already great. Secure enough Energy Recharge first, then pile on crit; prioritize a CRIT DMG circlet and an Electro goblet.
Clorinde Build
Priority substats: Energy Recharge › CRIT DMG / CRIT Rate › ATK%
E > NA > Q — most of her damage sits on the Skill and Normal Attacks, so level those first and the Burst last.
Teams for Clorinde
Nahida applies Dendro, Fischl feeds Electro, and Kazuha groups enemies while shredding RES so Clorinde can spam Aggravate nonstop.
Chevreuse buffs Electro/Pyro damage and shreds RES, while Bennett and Sara push ATK for an explosive Overload team.
Clorinde's talents
Oath of Hunting Shadows
Performs up to 5 rapid strikes.
Charged Attack
Consumes a certain amount of Stamina and fires Suppressing Shots in a fan pattern with her pistolet.
Plunging Attack
Plunges from mid-air to strike the ground below, damaging opponents along the path and dealing AoE DMG upon impact.
Hunter's Vigil
Swift Hunt
· When her Bond of Life is equal to or greater than 100% of her max HP: Performs a pistolet shot.
· When her Bond of Life is less than 100%, firing her pistolet will grant her Bond of Life, with the amount gained based on her max HP. The shots she fires can pierce opponents, and DMG dealt to opponents in their path is increased.
Impale the Night
The current percentage value of Clorinde's Bond of Life determines its effect:
· When the Bond of Life value is 0%, perform a normal lunging strike;
· When the Bond of Life value is less than 100% of her max HP, Clorinde is healed based on the Bond of Life value, and the AoE of the lunging attack and the DMG dealt is increased;
· When the value of the Bond of Life is equal to or greater than 100% of her max HP, use Impale the Night: Pact. The healing multiplier is increased, and the AoE and DMG dealt by the lunge is increased even further.
In addition, when Clorinde is in the Night Vigil state, healing effects other than Impale the Night will not take effect and will instead be converted into a Bond of Life that is a percentage of the healing that would have been received.
Clorinde will exit the "Night Vigil" state when she leaves the field.
Arkhe: Ousia
Periodically, when Clorinde's Swift Hunt shots strike opponents, she will summon a Surging Blade at the position hit that deals Ousia-aligned Electro DMG.
Though the evil that lurked in the shadows of the night had been purged across thousands of years, a shadow that the light could not reach clouded human hearts.
Even now, the warning left by the Golden Hunter is etched into her memory: Those of the Night Vigil, carrying aloft lit candles against the blackness, have greater need still to remain vigilant. Be not corrupted by the cold dark.
Last Lightfall
It is said the legacy of the ancient art of resisting non-human beings with but a mortal body can be traced back to the Lochknights who resisted the Remurian Empire.
Be that as it may, so long as one can find a way to control the level of force used, it's not as if it cannot be used in duels against ordinary opponents.
Dark-Shattering Flame
Lawful Remuneration
Additionally, Hunter's Vigil's Night Vigil state is buffed: While it is active, the percent of healing converted to Bond of Life increases to 100%.
Night Vigil's Harvest
Combat Rotation
- Before engaging, make sure you have at least 60 Energy so Last Lightfall (Burst) is ready.
- Open with Q, Last Lightfall: gain Bond of Life based on your max HP, dash out of danger and deal AoE Electro damage.
- Press E, Hunter's Vigil: enter the Night Vigil stance, turning your Normal Attacks into pistolet shots dealing Electro DMG that can't be overridden by other infusions.
- Keep auto-attacking in Night Vigil (Swift Hunt): while Bond of Life is under 100% of max HP each shot builds more Bond of Life; once it hits 100% or more, shots pierce and hit harder.
- Press E again while in Night Vigil to trigger Impale the Night, a lunging strike whose range and damage scale with your current Bond of Life percentage, peaking once Bond of Life reaches 100% of max HP.
- Whenever a teammate triggers an Electro-related reaction, cash in on Dark-Shattering Flame: Normal Attacks and Last Lightfall gain +20% ATK as bonus DMG, up to 3 stacks (capped at 1,800 total DMG), each lasting 15 seconds.
- Loop the cycle: Swift Hunt to build Bond of Life, Impale the Night to spend it, re-cast Last Lightfall once its 15s cooldown is up, and keep Night Vigil active throughout the fight.
- Don't swap off-field while Night Vigil is up — leaving the field drops the stance, so you'll need to re-trigger E from scratch when you come back.
Clorinde constellations
While Hunter's Vigil's Night Vigil state is active, when Electro DMG from Clorinde's Normal Attacks hit opponents, they will trigger 2 coordinated attacks from a Nightvigil Shade summoned near the hit opponent, each dealing 30% of Clorinde's ATK as Electro DMG.
This effect can occur once every 1.2s. DMG dealt this way is considered Normal Attack DMG.
Enhance the Ascension Talent "Dark-Shattering Flame": After a nearby party member triggers an Electro-related reaction against an opponent, Electro DMG dealt by Clorinde's Normal Attacks and Last Lightfall will be increased by 30% of Clorinde's ATK for 15s. Max 3 stacks. Each stack is counted independently. When you have 3 stacks, Clorinde's interruption resistance will be increased. The Maximum DMG increase achievable this way for the above attacks is 2,700.
You must first unlock the Ascension Talent "Dark-Shattering Flame."
Increases the Level of Hunter's Vigil by 3.
Maximum upgrade level is 15.
When Last Lightfall deals DMG to opponent(s), DMG dealt is increased based on Clorinde's Bond of Life percentage. Every 1% of her current Bond of Life will increase Last Lightfall DMG by 2%. The maximum Last Lightfall DMG increase achievable this way is 200%.
Increases the Level of Last Lightfall by 3.
Maximum upgrade level is 15.
For 12s after Hunter's Vigil is used, Clorinde's CRIT Rate will be increased by 10%, and her CRIT DMG by 70%.
Additionally, while Night Vigil is active, a Glimbright Shade will appear under specific circumstances, executing an attack that deals 200% of Clorinde's ATK as Electro DMG. DMG dealt this way is considered Normal Attack DMG.
The Glimbright Shade will appear under the following circumstances:
· When Clorinde is about to be hit by an attack.
· When Clorinde uses Impale the Night: Pact.
1 Glimbright Shade can be summoned in the aforementioned ways every 1s. 6 Shades can be summoned per single Night Vigil duration.
In addition, while Night Vigil is active, the DMG Clorinde receives is decreased by 80% and her interruption resistance is increased. This effect will disappear after the Night Vigil state ends or 1s after she summons 6 Glimbright Shades.

Birthday
Happy Birthday. I have a gift for you — it's a short-sword necklace that I made myself. In the Marechaussee Hunters' tradition, on a new member's first birthday as a hunter, hisher mentor will make himher a short-sword necklace with hisher name engraved, to be worn with the sword hanging over the chest. This is to symbolize interrogating hisher own heart at swordpoint: Will I tread the path of treachery, is there doubt in my heart, or am I resolved to eradicate all evil? Though you're not a Marechaussee Hunter, I believe that you're committed, like I am, to fighting the good fight. Why a sword, and not a musket? Because guns can misfire. Also, there's something a little inelegant about interrogating your heart at gunpoint.
Self-Introduction
Hello
Greetings. I am Clorinde, a Champion Duelist of the Court of Fontaine. If you wish to hire my services, please state the nature of your dispute... You may leave out any extraneous details, those are no concern of mine.
About Clorinde: News Reports
Every newspaper is plagued by reporting that is neither particularly fair, nor remotely just. Some writers allow their views to be swayed by personal connections and promises of Mora. If you want to find out the truth of a situation, the best way is to go to the people directly involved. Ask your own questions, and come to your own conclusions. At the very least, don't let other people's deceitful tongues serve as a substitute for your own brain.
About Clorinde: Muskets and Swords
My choice of weapons follows the Marechaussee Hunter tradition. A Musket to chase away my prey, and a sword to deliver it a fatal strike. In duels, of course, I typically only use my sword. Once you set foot in the Duelists' Ring, there is nowhere to run, and therefore no need to chase you away.
More About Clorinde: I
A Champion Duelist's job is not that complicated. In fact, you could say it's one of the simplest jobs there is. Defeat your opponent, as requested by the Trial Court. That's all there is to it. ...Perhaps that's why some people colloquially refer to me as an "executioner."
More About Clorinde: II
I always do what I can to ensure every duel is a fair fight. If my opponent has impaired vision, I cover my eyes. If their mobility is limited, I restrict my range of movement. Whatever happens, every duel I participate in must be fair.
More About Clorinde: III
I've lost count of how many times I've had people surrender right before the duel begins. When someone lacks the courage even to draw their weapon, I'm inclined to think that whatever grievance and claims of reputational damage brought them to this point are just the skewed opinions of a self-serving individual. Long before they face me, they are the architects of their own defeat. I needn't make a move when someone is a prisoner of their own soul.
More About Clorinde: IV
Have you ever seen a guilty person on trial? In my experience, they always twist the truth in an effort to protest their innocence. Violence is explained away as virtue, and evil as good... But whatever their excuse, it always ends the same way: "It was a momentary lapse of judgment, but anyone else in my position would have done the same thing, so don't single me out for punishment." They seek to hide their own foulness by smearing it on everyone else too. Their lies must be demolished, and the court cleansed of their filth. And that is exactly why I became a Champion Duelist.
More About Clorinde: V
I've seen many people seek compassion from the court. No disrespect to them, but they're looking in the wrong place. The court is a place of impartial justice. And justice... must always remain indifferent, or it cannot prevail. Justice is too easily led astray once human emotion enters the mix. If impartial judgment were to give way to vindictive punishment, vindictiveness at the hand of the court would be every bit as cruel as the crimes perpetrated by lawbreakers.
About Us: Ceremony
Before every duel, I wipe my sword down with a cloth soaked in a special cleaning liquid. It's partly to keep it in good working order, but it also helps me to remain calm and rid my mind of any intrusive thoughts. You're a fellow sword-wielder. Do you have any similar rituals?
About Us: People and the Shadow of Evil
Many of my habits are customs I've adopted from the Marechaussee Hunter tradition. They fought against monsters, while I fight against lawbreakers. But monsters are evil by nature, it is all they know. The same cannot be said for the corrupt of humanity, who have the ability and opportunity to do good, yet willingly choose the path of evil. And you? What is your reason for carrying a blade?
Thoughts About Other Characters
Charlotte
Charlotte is one of the more tactful journalists out there. I don't have anything negative to say about her. Unlike some, she doesn't ambush me with her Kamera on my way to work, or follow me to the coffee shop to report on what I'm drinking today... And most commendably of all, she is well aware that I do not do interviews and doesn't nag me about it continuously.
Furina
In the past, I always stood behind her at tea parties, sword at the ready. But now, I get to sit at the table and enjoy the tea and treats along with her. I'm now beginning to understand why she complains all the time about how hard it is to maintain her physique.
Navia
Navia's been in a good mood lately. It seems like every other day she's asking me to join her at Tabletop Troupe for a new script. The story is always so different. Save for the few times when I've taken the role of Game Master, I often play in character and join her on the adventure. But I do try to avoid playing any characters from the court, so as not to make the atmosphere too serious...
Neuvillette
No one is in any doubt as to the Iudex's authority. He always delivers a fair verdict — and when necessary, I will reiterate the fairness of this verdict with my sword.
Chevreuse
Ah yes, Captain Chevreuse. That's a name I've heard before. She has been landed with lawsuits on several occasions, after being accused of using excessive force when arresting culprits. She refuted the allegations just as forcefully during her testimony, leaving the plaintiff speechless. I think she's outstanding.
Lyney
I have to applaud the great magician for the level of professionalism he displays in his craft. If I ever have the time, I would very much like to enjoy one of his shows as a regular audience member.
Freminet
One day, I received a parcel containing a miniature mechanical toy and a thank-you card. The toy was exquisitely made. I must thank Mr. Freminet in person when I get the opportunity... Hm? The opportunity may be hard to come by, you say? Very well, then I too shall write a thank-you card. Please pass it on to him for me.
Chiori
I've bought clothes from her store before. They're good quality. But most of the time, I prefer to wear my work uniform. Partly because it serves to clearly communicate my identity, and partly because I like things that are familiar. Just like my sword, this uniform is familiar and functional — I have no desire to change it.
Wriothesley
Managing the Fortress of Meropide is no mean feat. Wriothesley is undoubtedly a highly capable person if he can maintain relative stability in a place like that. I highly suspect that he keeps quiet about some of the methods he uses, but there's no way we can know.
Sigewinne
Miss Sigewinne is an excellent nurse, equally adept at treating the injured and comforting the distressed. I'm sure that her kind and loving nature brings out what little good there may be even in the vilest offenders of the Fortress of Meropide. And maybe that just might serve as enough of a motivation for them to change their ways.
Emilie
I've heard that she's a perfumer. I've also heard a little about her true profession. I saw her out on the street once. She was stroking a little dog, and had a gentle smile on her face. We nodded at each other, then each went our separate ways.
Hobbies & Personality
Clorinde's Hobbies
Unlike my work as a duelist, being a Game Master in Tabletop Troupe gives me the freedom to stay outside of the story itself. and observe people's reactions without getting personally involved in all the drama. I create and control the world in which they operate... Hmm? Like watching a caged animal caught on a hunt? That's an interesting angle... I'd never thought of it like that before. But I would never give the players a hard time — I just want them to enjoy the story. So it's quite different from hunting.
Clorinde's Troubles
I do hope those journalists stop harassing me while I'm just trying to enjoy a cup of coffee, buy a bunch of flowers, or read a book. Otherwise, I may have to file a lawsuit to make an example of one or two of them. If they request a duel, I'll make them bring their Kamera, and in the interest of fairness, I too will bring only a Kamera.
Favorite Food
I like meaty dishes in general, but only if the meat is fresh. There's nothing like the flavor of freshly hunted meat cooked over the grill with a little salt to taste and a portion of sour fruits on the side. You should come hunting with me some time, I'll cook for you.
Least Favorite Food
I don't enjoy fish. There's too many bones, and I can't stand the smell... Maybe it's because I had my fill of fish as a child.
Feelings About Ascension
Feelings About Ascension: Intro
Interesting... This is certainly an improvement.
Feelings About Ascension: Building Up
Even my sword feels more at home in my hand now. Like an extension of my own body.
Feelings About Ascension: Climax
I feel like my eyesight just improved... Let me do a test-shot on that leaf over there.
Feelings About Ascension: Conclusion
As a warrior yourself, I don't believe you require my help. But should you ever wish to borrow my strength, I will fight for you with everything I have. As always.
Receiving a Gift
Receiving a Gift: I
The flavor is perfect. Exactly how I like it. Don't let the journalists or gourmets in on this though — they only know how to appreciate food through the lens of a Kamera or the words of a newspaper article.
Receiving a Gift: II
Mm, this is fine food. I'll enjoy it slowly so it lasts longer.
Receiving a Gift: III
...You're lucky this wasn't served in a restaurant, or the diners would be complaining to the chef.

Strengths & Weaknesses
- At Lv90, Clorinde already gets +19,2% CRIT Rate baked into the ascension stat line — no artifacts needed for this part.
- Can restore HP for the team via Hunter's Vigil.
- Has Interruption Resistance while using "Now, As We Face the Perils of the Long Night" — hard to stagger or interrupt mid-combo.
- Has crowd-control (knockback/pull/freeze/stun…) via Oath of Hunting Shadows.
- The core mechanic (via Hunter's Vigil) scales with HP — HP% is also an easy-to-find substat, and the character usually comes with high survivability too.
- Since it scales with HP (via Hunter's Vigil), it can't share ATK%-geared artifacts with other DPS — needs a separate HP-focused artifact/weapon set.
- 5★ (Sword) — only available on limited/character-specific banners, not on the standard wish.
Role Rankings
Machine-classified by scanning mechanic keywords in the OFFICIAL skill text (not another site's opinion ranking). Characters whose weapon type is inherently elemental (e.g. catalysts, bows) may not show "Does this well" for On-Field even if they can still be played on-field — this is a limit of text-based detection.
