Contest History Contest
50 real Contest seasons present in Gakuen Idolmaster's data — the asynchronous battle mode that uses the Memory you created from Produce.
Contest is split into consecutive seasons, each with its own stat targets and turn counts for 3 battle stages — but the game only shows the current season, with no place to review the history. This page reconstructs all 50 seasons from the source configuration, along with the 4 official Contest rules and the Grade-based content lock table.
Official Contest Rules
- You can battle Producers nationwide. In Contest, you battle using the parameters tied to the Memory you earned from Produce, along with Skill Cards and P-items.
- Each stage is a performance showdown, decided by the score you earn. The Producer who wins more stages wins the match overall.
- Contest has a Grade system. The higher you rank on the leaderboard, the higher Grade you get promoted to. The higher the Grade, the more lavish the rewards.
- Collect Contest Medals to exchange them for lavish rewards at the Item Exchange.

Source: vertesan/gakumasu-diff master data (fetched 05/08/2026) — PvpRateConfig.yaml (50 seasons) + HelpCategory.yaml (official rules) + CompetitionStageSectionLock.yaml (Grade locks). ⚠ CompetitionSeason.yaml (the file that would normally hold season history) is empty at the source — this page uses PvpRateConfig.yaml instead, cross-confirmed as genuine Contest data; it has no calendar date per season, so no dates are shown.
What Changes Each Season: Stat Targets and Turns per Stage
Every Contest season has 3 consecutive battle stages, each tied to a different Produce Plan (Common/Plan1/Plan2/Plan3, rotating order across seasons) with its own turn limit — across the 42 seasons with real figures, the turn count varies between 6, 8, 10 or 12 depending on the stage. The season's overall Vocal/Dance/Visual targets also shift from season to season: some seasons lean heavily into one stat (season 1 favors Vocal at 353), others spread evenly across all three (season 23: 297/297/297, or season 30: 324/243/324). These are real figures pulled straight from the season configs, not estimates.
One rule stays constant across all 50 seasons: the rank-1 finisher always gets a 20% score bonus (a fixed first-rank bonus multiplier in every season) — the only rule in the data that never changes between seasons.
Which Stage Section Is Locked by Grade, and the Official Reward Rule
Beyond the per-season stat targets, Contest also has a separate lock layer tied to the player's current Grade — not to the season. The data shows the Mid section of all 3 battle-stage types is locked from Grade 1 through Grade 4, and fully unlocked from Grade 5 onward. In other words, low-Grade players only see a shortened version of each stage and must climb Grades to unlock the full content — a mechanic that keeps new players from being overwhelmed, read directly from the game's stage-lock table, nothing inferred.
As for rewards, the game's own in-game guide (translated verbatim in the "Contest Rules" block above) only states the PRINCIPLE — the higher the Grade, the more lavish the reward, and collected Contest Medals can be exchanged at a dedicated shop — but does NOT publish a concrete quantity/item table per Grade in the static data available. This page does not invent that table.
Frequently asked questions
Why doesn't the page list a specific calendar date for each season?
The game's public data files only record season order (S1, S2, S3...) and each season's configuration, with NO calendar start/end date field specifically for Contest mode — that kind of date field only exists for other in-game season systems (e.g. the Producer Ranking system). This page prioritizes showing the real order and figures over inventing fake dates.
Why do seasons 43-50 show "not yet configured"?
In the season config file, these 8 seasons already have a placeholder shell (an ID, labels "S43" through "S50") but their Vocal/Dance/Visual targets are all set to 0 — meaning the game had not yet filled in real numbers for those future seasons at the time the data was fetched (05/08/2026). This page does not guess figures for unreleased seasons; it only shows the season slot with a clear note.
How is S1 "初めてのコンテスト" different from later seasons?
Season 1 is the only one of the 50 seasons carrying a full proper name, "初めてのコンテスト" (literally "the first Contest"), instead of the short "S+number" label used from season 2 onward — fitting for a tutorial/onboarding season. Structurally, season 1 still has the full 3 battle stages and stat targets like every other season (nothing shortened) — the naming is the only difference.
