Return to Darkness

For the Path of: The Hunt Tier A

Return to Darkness is a 4★ Light Cone for the Path of The Hunt in Honkai: Star Rail.

As a 4-star Light Cone, its flat 12% CRIT Rate is broadly useful for Rogue-path DPS, while the 16%-chance buff-dispel on CRIT is a nice but situational bonus rather than a core damage driver.

Effect
✦ Raging Waves
Superimposition

Increases the wearer's CRIT Rate by 12%. After a CRIT Hit, there is a 16% fixed chance to dispel 1 buff on the target enemy. This effect can only trigger 1 time per attack.

Story

Even though her sister was close by her side, she could hear nothing. The only thing audible was the voice in the depths of her heart, which only grew louder by the minute. "Big sis's body is cold." "Big sis's body is not moving." A violent surge of fury irrevocably overwhelmed her so much that she didn't even find the time to clear her mind, or to remember this crucial yet neglected fact... "Big sis's body has been cold like this for a very long time."

How to read this Light Cone page

Every Light Cone has exactly one passive effect tied to the wielder's combat performance; that effect scales up as you Superimpose it from S1 to S5 — use the S1-S5 buttons above to see the exact numbers at each level instead of guessing or interpolating. A Light Cone only delivers its full value on a character who shares its Path; "Characters who use this cone" lists every character on that Path, while "Best users" is a narrower list pulled from real build consensus, not a guess.

Base stats (HP/ATK/DEF) are shown at Lv80 for every cone of the same rarity so they can be compared directly; a 5-star cone will always edge out 4-star and 3-star ones here — the real difference lives in the passive effect, not the flat stats. The "Alternative cones on the same Path" section suggests a few other options if you do not own the signature cone yet, or want to compare before spending ascension materials.
