What is this tool?
Every Honkai: Star Rail character needs a set of materials to ascend to the max level 80. This tool sums ALL materials across every ascension phase into one tidy list: how many credits, local materials and hidden drops you need. So you know exactly what to farm, and how much, before you invest in a character.
When should you use it?
- You just got a new character and want to know what to farm to hit Lv80.
- You're planning to farm local materials and loot ahead of time efficiently.
- You want to compare which character costs fewer resources to prioritize.
How to use — 3 steps
- Tap the characters and cones you plan to build (tap again to remove).
- In the plan box, set "Current Lv. → Target Lv." for each one (leave 1 → 80 for a brand-new unit) and pick the skill level: Skip / Mid / Max.
- The grand total appears right below — click any material to open its farming page. Your plan auto-saves in the browser.
Figures come straight from the game's own data: ascension + trace materials + EXP books + Credits, computed for the exact level range you pick. May change with game versions.

FAQ
Does it include trace (skill) materials?
YES. This table includes BOTH ascension (to Lv80) AND trace (skill) materials. Tap "Traces" for skills only, or "All" for the total to farm.
Do I need a lot of credits?
Ascension costs quite a lot of credits (often hundreds of thousands for one character to Lv80). The table shows the exact total so you can gather enough.
Where do I farm local materials?
Local materials are gathered on the map in the character's region; hidden loot drops from regular enemies and Simulated Universe. The material names help you search in-game quickly.
