999 Nights

999 Nights is NTE's permanent solo mode set on the Warren Continent, opened with patch 1.2 "999 Nights" on 2026-07-08. Everything below except that one patch fact is compiled from community guides — read it as a walkthrough, not an official stat sheet.

What's confirmed

Patch 999 Nights officially opened 2026-07-08 — that is the only fact GameVika can verify right now.

What Is 999 Nights?

Community-tracked

999 Nights is a permanent single-player mode built around the Warren Continent, a fantasy world separate from Hethereau. It unlocks early through the main story quest "Fighting with a Dragon" (Chapter 7), and once unlocked you can replay it anytime by warping to Mint's house in the New Herland District, or jumping straight in from the 999 Nights section of the Event screen.

Levels, Gear and Awakening Carry Over Differently

Community-tracked

The mode uses its own separate character levels and equipment — your main-game builds don't carry over, so everyone starts the Warren Continent from scratch regardless of progression outside it. Awakening and Resonance (Ascension) effects do carry over based on each character's current state, though Awakening can't be changed while inside 999 Nights.

How to Progress: Clear 4 Dungeons, Then the Crimson Dragon

Community-tracked

Your first playthrough follows Main Story Chapter 7: clear the four dungeons — starting with Chocolate Volcano — then defeat the boss inside Crimson Castle. Along the way, pick up Mystery Buttons from side quest rewards and treasure chests; they're the currency spent later on exclusive outfits and other rewards. Beating the Crimson Dragon automatically starts your 2nd playthrough.

2nd and 3rd Playthrough Loop

Community-tracked

From the 2nd playthrough on, new side quests unlock, hidden passages open up inside dungeons, and enemies appear at higher levels. Clearing the Crimson Dragon again opens the 3rd playthrough (Nightmare difficulty) — going in around level 100 with Warren Gold Coins saved up lets you buy a strong starting item from the traveling merchant. Week 3 is also when the toughest exploration missions and the secret "???" boss (level 100 requirement) become available.

How to Level Up

Community-tracked

Characters level up purely by defeating enemies in the field and inside dungeons — elites and bosses give more EXP. Bonfires (found in dungeons and camps) let you instantly revive nearby defeated enemies to farm them again, and simply leaving and re-entering 999 Nights also respawns the map if there's no bonfire nearby.

Weapons, Armor and Set Effects

Community-tracked

Each character equips one weapon, four armor pieces and two accessories; weapons and armor are character-exclusive, accessories are shared. Gear has a level requirement, so stronger equipment unlocks as you level up. Purple (Epic) and Gold (Legendary) armor pieces carry set effects that activate once you've equipped a full matching set, so completing a set is usually worth more than chasing raw stats. Gear drops from enemies or can be bought with Warren Gold Coins from a traveling merchant found at camps and inside dungeons; some drops need to be appraised at a Bonfire before they can be worn.

Crimson Dragon Boss Fight

Community-tracked

The Crimson Dragon is the final boss of Crimson Castle. Your team needs to be level 35 or higher to challenge it on the first playthrough — that requirement jumps to level 90 from the 2nd playthrough onward. Its moveset mixes grounded and aerial versions of the same attacks, several telegraphed sweeps and bites you can simply walk out of instead of forcing a dodge, a chargeable attack that can be Parried, and a few untelegraphed high-damage attacks — a sky beam that rains fire, and a leaping explosion strong enough to down most characters in one hit — worth learning to recognize by their wind-up animation.

Battle Tips and Team Build

Community-tracked

999 Nights locks you into a fixed 4-character team — Zero, Mint, Iroi and Shinku — with only their Awakening state carrying over, not their main-game level. Zero and Mint carry the damage, Iroi keeps the team topped up with her Ultimate heal and can fight on alone by summoning help if the rest of the team goes down, and Shinku's Ultimate builds up from her own basic attacks. Progressing far enough into the Chapter 7 story upgrades Shinku into a Dragon Knight with access to stronger gear and her Ultimate skill.

999 Nights Rewards

Community-tracked

Mystery Buttons collected across the mode are spent in a dedicated shop for exclusive character outfits (plus dye variants), profile cosmetics, and materials like Annulith and Fons — redeeming everything currently listed takes roughly 130,000+ Mystery Buttons in total, and there's no deadline to spend them, so you can collect at your own pace.

About This Guide's Sources

Everything above except the patch name and open date comes from community guides, not from Neverness to Everness's own client data or official patch notes — GameVika has not independently verified these mechanics against the game files.

Treat this page as a starting-point walkthrough, not a guaranteed stat sheet: level thresholds, gold amounts and reward totals are quoted as reported by the community and may drift after balance patches.

Left out on purpose: exact best-in-slot weapon lists per character for each of the three playthroughs, and precise level brackets for every individual farming spot — both change per patch and per loadout, so a single-source snapshot of either risks going stale fast. Anything with only a fleeting, one-line mention and no surrounding context was dropped rather than guessed at.
