Sethos
Sethos is a solid budget 4-star for anyone who wants an Electro Aggravate DPS without spending on a 5-star. He isn't as strong as premium carries, but he's easy to obtain through farming and beginner-friendly. His ideal weapon is Hunter's Path, yet the free Slingshot is enough if you keep your shooting distance. Run Wanderer's Troupe or a 2pc EM mix; what matters most is enough Energy Recharge to keep the Burst up, then crit and Elemental Mastery.

Teams for Sethos
Sethos's talents
Royal Reed Archery
Performs up to 3 consecutive shots with a bow.
Charged Attack
Performs a more precise Aimed Shot with increased DMG.
While aiming, the power of Electro will accumulate on the arrowhead before the arrow is fired. Has different effects based on how long the energy has been charged:
·Charge Level 1: Fires off an arrow carrying the power of lightning that deals Electro DMG.
·Charge Level 2: Fires off a Shadowpiercing Shot which can pierce enemies, dealing Electro DMG to enemies along its path. After the Shadowpiercing Shot is fully charged, Sethos cannot move around.
Plunging Attack
Fires off a shower of arrows in mid-air before falling and striking the ground, dealing AoE DMG upon impact.
Ancient Rite: The Thundering Sands
"The God indwelt Priest, the Magi who turned pits to springs, the singers of the sea of sand still spread their stories... But I know those are not legends, for they are our ancestors."
Secret Rite: Twilight Shadowpiercer
Sethos cannot perform Aimed Shots while in this state.
DMG dealt by Dusk Bolts is considered Charged Attack DMG.
This effect will be canceled when Sethos leaves the field.
The archives of the Temple of Silence preserve many tomes left behind by Akhtamun, from the era of King Deshret. Many secret rituals of great power are recorded within, but even among the Temple of Silence, very few could master them.
Black Kite's Enigma
The Sand King's Boon
The Scorching Sandshade effect will be canceled when any of the following conditions are met:
· 5s after a Shadowpiercing Shot first hits an opponent.
· After 4 Shadowpiercing Shots strike opponents.
When a Shadowpiercing Shot affected by Scorching Sandshade first hits an opponent, Sethos will regain Scorching Sandshade after 15s.
Thoth's Revelation
Combat Rotation
- Make sure you have 60 Energy before engaging so you can open with the Burst (Q).
- Cast Q "Secret Rite: Twilight Shadowpiercer" (15s CD) to enter Twilight Meditation for 8s, turning Normal Attacks into piercing Dusk Bolts.
- During those 8s, spam Normal Attacks so Dusk Bolts pierce multiple enemies, with bonus DMG scaling off Elemental Mastery (EM).
- Weave in E "Ancient Rite: The Thundering Sands" (8s CD, no Energy cost) whenever it's off cooldown for AoE Electro DMG plus a quick retreat.
- If E triggers Electro-Charged, Overloaded, Superconduct, Quicken, Aggravate, Hyperbloom, or Electro Swirl, Sethos regains extra Energy, shortening the wait for the next Burst.
- Once Twilight Meditation ends, throw Charged Attacks to keep charging Electro while waiting for Q to come back (15s).
- Repeat: fire E every time it's up, stay on field (leaving cancels Meditation), and recast Q as soon as you hit 60 Energy.
Sethos constellations
The CRIT Rate of Shadowpiercing Shot is increased by 15%.
When any of the following conditions are met, Sethos gains a 15% Electro DMG Bonus for 10s that may stack twice, with each stack duration counted independently:
· Consuming Elemental Energy through Aimed Shots. You must first unlock the Ascension Talent "Black Kite's Enigma" to trigger this condition.
· Regaining Elemental Energy by triggering Elemental Reactions using Ancient Rite: The Thundering Sands.
· Using Secret Rite: Twilight Shadowpiercer.
Increases the Level of Normal Attack: Royal Reed Archery by 3.
Maximum upgrade level is 15.
When a Shadowpiercing Shot or Dusk Bolt strikes 2 or more opponents, all nearby party members gain 80 Elemental Mastery for 10s.
Increases the Level of Secret Rite: Twilight Shadowpiercer by 3.
Maximum upgrade level is 15.
After Shadowpiercing Shot strikes an opponent, the Elemental Energy consumed by the Ascension Talent "Black Kite's Enigma" will be returned. This effect can be triggered up to once every 15s. You must first unlock the Ascension Talent "Black Kite's Enigma."

Birthday
You know, your hair would look amazing if it was done up in a desert-dweller style... How about kicking off the next year of your life with a new hairdo, huh? If you're up for it, just leave it to me. You'll look glamorous, I promise you.
Self-Introduction
Hello
Sorry SirMa'am, were you looking for me? Hello, hello, I'm Sethos. What can I do for you? ...Actually, you know what? This seems like more of a sit-down conversation. Come with me, I know a good place.
About Sethos: Impression
Some of my elders say I'm difficult to control, like a wild animal. I actually don't disagree with that, but don't you think it's kind of an issue that they'd want to control how other people think in the first place?
About Sethos: Leadership
To be honest, being a leader is a little stressful, especially in the Temple of Silence. But after all the years I spent with Grandfather, I'm at least clear in my own mind about the areas where I cannot compromise. After the Rite of Duels, and having been given the chance to make so many new friends, I now know the direction I want to take the Temple of Silence in from here on out. Don't worry — I won't mess it up.
More About Sethos: I
You got questions? You've come to the right person. On the off chance I don't have the answers, I can ask around and help you find out.
More About Sethos: II
If you've any equipment or tools that need repairing, I can help you with that. ...What's my job? Well, I'm an unemployed vagrant, obviously. I wouldn't have the time to be such a handyman otherwise, would I?
More About Sethos: III
I like going on hiking trips. I always map out my route, pack a bag, and pick a good day. I enjoy having it all carefully planned out. Of course, you gotta leave some flexibility in your schedule, too — you might make a new friend along the way.
More About Sethos: IV
I always have a great time at the Grand Bazaar. I like to pick a bunch of different herbs and spices to mix with some freshly grilled meat. I never make a note of the exact combination of ingredients though, so I usually end up with one-off recipes. What do you think? Any interest in trying one of my limited-edition, one-time-only delicacies?
More About Sethos: V
I've lived in the Temple of Silence for as long as I can remember, and to be honest, I've never had many of my own decisions to make. I'm still not sure if withstanding the power of Hermanubis was a blessing or a curse, but it definitely gave me a higher purpose in life. There's a million things you can regret in life, so I'm just happy I was able to bring that one situation to a close. I'm sure Grandfather will rest in peace knowing that I got to become the leader of the Temple of Silence, and that Hermanubis's power has finally found a home.
About Us: Chitchat
When you approach someone while intending to ingratiate yourself with them, it often makes for a stilted conversation. It's much easier to build up a rapport by just hanging out and talking about whatever.
About Us: Bonfire
Lighting a bonfire at night keeps you warm and keeps wild animals away. To me, you're just like a bonfire. Too abstract? Alright, let me put it more directly: I think of you as a good friend.
Thoughts About Other Characters
Cyno
Cyno is truly outstanding — absolutely a worthy heir to Hermanubis's power. As General Mahamatra, he has the utmost reverence for knowledge and wisdom. If the Akademiya and the Temple of Silence do start working together again, I'll take comfort in the fact that he's there. Oh yeah, and another great thing about Cyno: You know the way he talks? It's just... so funny.
Tighnari
Tighnari's made of strong stuff. I only found out after the fact that he doesn't cope well with the desert climate — never would've guessed from how he performed in the Rite of Duels. I was also surprised when he sent me a letter inviting me to visit Gandharva Ville, saying it would be a good chance to meet some of Cyno's friends. Are those guys always such a hoot with their jokes? Dinner with them must be hilarious — I can't wait!
Wanderer
Who is that guy, anyway? A foreign exchange student, or something? He has a pretty incredible hat, never seen anything like it. I tried to get a closer look once, but then I blinked and he was gone. Shame. I won't let him get away next time, though. I also hear he has some pretty interesting ideas... Gotta have a chat with him sometime!
Dehya
Flame-Mane... everyone in the desert knows that name. The Eremites aren't exactly saints, as I'm sure you know, but Dehya's one of the few solid and dependable ones out there. If you ever want to explore the Great Red Sand, Dehya's the second-best guide you could ask for. First-best being me, obviously.
Candace
Have you ever experienced Candace's hospitality? She cooks very generous portions — even I could barely finish. So long as you're on the receiving end of her hospitality and not her wrath, you'll live a long and happy life.
Faruzan
It's so rare to meet someone even more chummy than me! One minute I was taking a stroll near the Akademiya, the next minute she'd taken me on as a student, and was insisting on giving me a tour. She gave me a real fright, though, because she said that if I joined Haravatat, I'd get the 20-tongues language-learning package, mastery of all 100% guaranteed... I asked around, and it seems like that's just an in-joke among Akademiya students — there is no 20-language graduation requirement after all. But I don't get it... how is that funny? It's only gonna put people off studying there.
Nilou
I usually can't stay still for more than a few minutes, but Zubayr Theater is one place I don't mind just standing and watching while Nilou dances on the stage. It's a rare skill to be able to bring people such a sense of peace.
Hobbies & Personality
Sethos's Hobbies
I get bored when I'm inside for too long. I always like exploring the great outdoors, whatever the weather might be like.
Sethos's Troubles
You have to be fully prepared before you venture out on a trip, especially when you're going somewhere you haven't been before. The first time I spent the night in the rainforest, I didn't realize that I should've brought a waterproof groundsheet... That was a miserable night.
Favorite Food
I like mixing spices — but only because it makes meat taste better. It's a means to an end.
Least Favorite Food
Green vegetables are nice to look at and all, but eating them... Ehh.
Feelings About Ascension
Feelings About Ascension: Intro
This is your training regimen, huh? Interesting.
Feelings About Ascension: Building Up
Wow... So this is what three consecutive days of reading feels like.
Feelings About Ascension: Climax
Amazing... I feel like I could sprint from Aaru Village all the way to The Mausoleum of King Deshret without breaking a sweat. I'm not even joking — you up for it?
Feelings About Ascension: Conclusion
I had no idea you'd help me reach this level. Sometimes, an over-reliance on ancient wisdom can make you forget the strength that you and your companions already have. Thank you for being there to remind me.
Receiving a Gift
Receiving a Gift: I
Mm, mm, mm! I'm kind of a big eater, hope that's okay with you?
Receiving a Gift: II
Not bad! What's the recipe? I'll take some on my next hiking trip.
Receiving a Gift: III
Hmm... hmm... Nope, I can't really taste anything. Let me try some more...

Strengths & Weaknesses
- At Lv90, Sethos already gets +96% Elemental Mastery baked into the ascension stat line — no artifacts needed for this part.
- Buffs the whole team's DMG/stats via Beneficent Plumage, with no elemental restriction on party composition.
- The core mechanic (via Secret Rite: Twilight Shadowpiercer) scales with Elemental Mastery — EM-focused artifacts are usually cheap/easy to roll since few main DPS need them.
- 4★ (Bow) — obtainable via the standard wish/banner, no need to pull on a limited banner.
- The Normal Attack (via Royal Reed Archery) already deals innate Electro DMG from the start — no need to wait on the Elemental Skill to apply the element.
- Since it scales with EM (via Secret Rite: Twilight Shadowpiercer), it must trade off CRIT/ATK% for Elemental Mastery — raw Normal Attack/Burst DMG tends to be lower than ATK-based DPS.
- The ascension stat isn't CRIT Rate/DMG — this kit isn't built to carry the team's main damage, fitting a support/sub-DPS role better than a main carry.
Role Rankings
Machine-classified by scanning mechanic keywords in the OFFICIAL skill text (not another site's opinion ranking). Characters whose weapon type is inherently elemental (e.g. catalysts, bows) may not show "Does this well" for On-Field even if they can still be played on-field — this is a limit of text-based detection.
