How to read the table + the 5 costume types
Each card is ONE costume, tied to exactly one base P-idol (never shared between idols). The condition line below states exactly how you actually get that costume in-game — translated verbatim from the data, nothing guessed.
The 5 types come straight from the game's own internal codes (not an invented split): Gacha/event — the largest group, mostly unlocked by pulling the idol during a specific gacha banner; Casual — everyday outfits, usually available from the start or via event rewards; Training — practice outfits, some unlock when that idol's Master Achievement reaches a high rank; Uniform — the academy uniform, almost always available from the start; Special — seasonal/themed outfits (swimsuits, etc.), usually bought directly from the costume shop.
Reading the condition text: "obtained by pulling in gacha X" means the costume comes bundled ONLY when you pull that specific banner version of the idol — it cannot be bought separately. "Available from the start" means it is a default outfit, no condition needed. The original Japanese name is kept in parentheses on first mention so you can match it exactly against what you see in-game.

The problem is the game has no single place that lists all of a character's costumes at once — you have to open separate menus to see each one. This page gathers every costume for all 14 base P-idols into a single catalog, pulled straight from game data, so you can look up unlock conditions without logging into the game.Why the Game Splits Costumes Into 5 Internal Types
Gakumas does not display a "type" label directly to players, but every costume's internal ID always carries one of 5 fixed prefixes, reflecting exactly how the game engine handles that costume differently behind the scenes. Gacha/event costumes (the largest group, over 80% of the total) only ever appear tied to a specific gacha banner or promotional campaign — you cannot buy them separately, you must pull the matching idol version from that exact banner. Training costumes are kept entirely separate because they only display during practice/lesson scenes, never on the performance stage.
Uniform and casual costumes are mostly available the moment you unlock a character, acting as the "default outfit" before you pull anything else. Special costumes (swimsuits, seasonal outfits) are usually purchased directly with in-game currency at the costume shop rather than through gacha — an important distinction if you're budgeting your gacha pulls.
Reading Unlock Conditions Right: Gacha, Bond Level and Direct Purchase
When a condition reads "obtained by pulling [idol] in the [name] gacha banner," the costume is NOT a bonus reward — it comes bundled directly with the specific idol version you pull from that exact banner. Pulling that idol from a different banner will not give you this costume.
When a condition mentions reaching a certain rank of "Master Achievement," this is a progression system tied to that specific character (not your overall account level) — you need to build up activity with the exact P-idol who owns that costume. A "purchased directly from the costume shop" condition means the outfit is not time-limited or luck-based — as long as you have enough in-game currency, you can buy it whenever the shop still carries it.
Frequently asked questions
Why do some costumes have no unlock condition listed?
The master data leaves the condition description blank for some costumes (usually special outfits tied to older events or mechanics not yet publicly documented). This page does not guess or invent a reason — those costumes only show a name and type, with no condition line.
How is a "training" costume different from a regular one?
Training costumes (called Lesson Wear in-game) only appear while a P-idol is in a practice/lesson scene, completely separate from performance or everyday outfits. Some training outfits are available from the start, others unlock once that idol's Master Achievement reaches a certain rank.
Why do idols have different numbers of costumes?
An idol who launched earlier and has been in the game longer accumulates more gacha/event tie-ins, hence more costumes. A recently launched idol naturally has fewer — this reflects the real state of the game's data at the time it was fetched, not a gap in this page.
