Though Worlds Apart
Though Worlds Apart is a 5★ Light Cone for the Path of Preservation in Honkai: Star Rail.
A 5-star Preservation cone that gives 64% ATK and, on Ultimate, heals the whole team while granting a 3-turn team-wide 24% DMG buff (36% with summons), which is very strong but the ATK-scaling and summon-synergy make it somewhat character-specific rather than universally best-in-slot.
Increases the wearer's ATK by 64%. When the wearer uses Ultimate, restores HP equal to 10% of the wearer's ATK for all allies, and additionally restores HP equal to 10% of the wearer's ATK for the character with the lowest current HP, and grants "Redoubt" to all allies for 3 turn(s). Targets with "Redoubt" deal 24% increased DMG, which further increases by 12% if the targets have summons.
In the boundless ancient lands, a young man walks alone on his quest. He seems to return to those wandering days, wading through surging waves, weathering wind and frost, battling behemoths, struggling against raging tides. Yet in those moments of respite, he is not alone. Though worlds apart, he can still see the light ahead... It is the light of hope of all living beings. The shattered earth can no longer sustain new life, and the newborn creatures gather around him, seeking comfort and shelter. Those are the words his companions left in his heart, like an endless voyage connecting them firmly together. The troubles of his past may stir with the wind, but the path he's traveled will become the strength for his metamorphosis. "I will stand guard for the Path of the Trailblaze." The young man leaps forth with his spear, advancing toward the light "And I shall defend all hope that threatens to fade away!"
How to read this Light Cone page
Every Light Cone has exactly one passive effect tied to the wielder's combat performance; that effect scales up as you Superimpose it from S1 to S5 — use the S1-S5 buttons above to see the exact numbers at each level instead of guessing or interpolating. A Light Cone only delivers its full value on a character who shares its Path; "Characters who use this cone" lists every character on that Path, while "Best users" is a narrower list pulled from real build consensus, not a guess.
Base stats (HP/ATK/DEF) are shown at Lv80 for every cone of the same rarity so they can be compared directly; a 5-star cone will always edge out 4-star and 3-star ones here — the real difference lives in the passive effect, not the flat stats. The "Alternative cones on the same Path" section suggests a few other options if you do not own the signature cone yet, or want to compare before spending ascension materials.
