Role: 6-star Guard (Polearm) — a 'support damage dealer' who blends personal Physical damage with team support: applies Vulnerable/Physical Susceptibility via Battle Skill, a Link stack via Combo Skill, and two more Vulnerable stacks via Ultimate, all while dealing strong stagger through Knock Down. Notably he has no way to consume Vulnerable himself, so he must be paired with a Crush/Breach consumer. Physical
Best Weapons
- Mountain Bearer (6-star, signature Polearm) — Grants a lot of Agility and Physical damage, with a conditional bonus against Vulnerable enemies that Lifeng himself consistently applies — his overall best-in-slot weapon.
- Valiant (6-star Polearm) — Optimal passives including Physical damage, Agility, and ATK% boost; lets Lifeng apply large amounts of Physical Status to enemies for extra weapon-triggered damage instances — the top alternative if Mountain Bearer is unavailable.
- Chimeric Justice / Pathfinder's Beacon (4-star Polearm) — F2P/budget option, a decent early alternative with good availability.
Gear & Essence
- Bonekrusha (endgame BiS) Heavy Agility and Strength; substat priority Agility > Strength > Physical DMG > Combo Skill DMG (overall stat priority: Agility > Strength > Phys DMG > DMG vs Staggered > ATK% > Battle Skill Efficiency). — Set effect boosts ATK by 15% and doubles his Battle Skill damage after using Combo Skill, which transitions well into a stronger next rotation — the recommended endgame set.
- Roving MSGR (early-game alternative) Bonuses to Attack, Physical DMG, and Combo Skill DMG; set bonus is +50 Agility, and if HP > 80% grants +20% Physical DMG. — Accessible pieces before Bonekrusha is farmed, still enhancing his primary stat and Physical DMG output.
Team Comps
- Endministrator + Chen Qianyu + Pogranichnik + Lifeng (free-to-play mono-Physical squad) — Lifeng opens with Battle Skill to apply Physical Susceptibility and the first Vulnerable stack; Chen Qianyu further applies Physical Vulnerability; Endministrator consumes Vulnerable stacks via Crush; Pogranichnik applies Breach and sustains the team as its battery — a fully F2P-viable mono-Physical rotation.
- Mi Fu + Chen Qianyu + Pogranichnik + Lifeng (premium upgrade) — Swapping in Mi Fu for Endministrator creates the strongest mono-Physical squad overall, keeping the same Vulnerable-setup/Breach-consume loop with a premium Crush consumer.
Skill Priority: Turbid Avatar (Ultimate) first > Aspect of Wrath (Battle Skill) second > Heart of the Unmoving (Combo Skill) third > Ruination (passive/talent) fourth.
Playstyle: Open rotations with Battle Skill to simultaneously apply Physical Susceptibility and the first Vulnerable stack on the enemy. Use his Combo Skill (via Final Strikes on susceptible enemies) to grant the team a Link buff that amplifies teammates' abilities. Fire his Ultimate for double Knock Down plus substantial personal Physical damage and two more Vulnerable stacks — but always pair him with a dedicated Crush/Breach consumer (e.g. Endministrator, Mi Fu, Pogranichnik) since Lifeng cannot consume his own Vulnerable stacks.

HUMAN RESOURCES SUMMARY
Lifeng is a native of Wuling City. He voluntarily chose to work at Endfield Industries and is currently interning at the Specialist Tech Division.
The youth exhibited an innocent naivety and sincerity that far exceeded our expectations — I rarely received an employment form with such details about the applicant's personal life. In fact, in compliance to the articles of our Privacy Policy, I requested the youth to redact parts that may be considered too private for disclosure.
His smiles are genuine and he is a highly empathetic individual. Despite being an intern, he has agreed to take on many tasks and he also has an extremely useful skill set. Signing him onboard is something every HR Assistant would love to see.
— Martin Marvin Malen, Assistant, HR Division, Endfield Industries
FILE 1
It was another busy day as usual aboard Dijiang. Not many people took notice of the new operator. Lifeng also did not intend to do anything spectacular. But he soon caught some attention by the third day he came aboard the ship — People started talking about a lad doing morning exercises in the Growth Chamber. On arrival, the team found an Anasa meditating cross-legged in the chamber, eyes shut, breath steady. Those who were there reported seeing a soft, gentle glow emanating from his body. No one knew if they were seeing things or if the phenomenon was a result of artificial lighting from the cultivation tanks...
"He's Sarkaz, that's why. Nothing to be worried about. It must be his 'Spirit'!"
"It might be some secret Yanese technique. I think it's called the 'Ki'..."
"It doesn't matter what it's called. The moment he sat down... it brought about a vibe of serenity... It's like a form of artsy power that made me wanna call him 'Young Master'..."
"Young Master? I think he's more like the Young Warrior from the martial arts movie that Chen showed us yesterday."
"Shh! I think he heard us! And he's turning around! QUICK! HIDE..."
After a brief, noisy moment, the lance made a few random slashes on the lighting module. Three fluid inlets and outlets of the control module were split open. They saw the youth fumbling to get back to his feet to wave off the white, billowing smoke around him. The youth then stood at attention: "I'm so sorry! I thought nobody was using this place!"
They realized he was just a boy, but their realization gave way to confusion: "How do you look so young and old at the same time?!"
Lifeng look confused. "Because... the Anasas are an old and wise race, but I'm still a little young..?"
It was an enlightening answer — Meaningful in some way, but also wholly incapable of answer the question!
Lifeng the Young Master (or Young Warrior) gave off an aura of rarely observed contradiction. He was ancient yet young, stiff yet flexible. These quirks were further verified as people started to befriend him.
The first to notice Lifeng's ability was provisional combat instructor Lil' Dodge. The instructor gave nothing but praise about Operator Lifeng's spear fighting skills after a friendly spar. The instructor (notorious for strictness) lavished extremely rare praises in Operator Lifeng's multi-dimensional assessment report. Things like: "Lance strikes way faster than average"; "Hits with just the right amount of force"; "A warrior of rare quality"; and — "I really wanna know where he learned how to fight!"
Lifeng was extremely surprised by these commendations, and said that he was but a little boy playing with sticks when compared to his master, Da Pan.
After becoming the target of endless questioning (and all sorts of bribes), Da Pan finally agreed to reveal certain secrets. The Ursus confessed he was not good with children but Zhuang Fangyi gave him the important task of training Lifeng. Finding himself stuck with an energetic and inquisitive kid who followed him everywhere, Da Pan found a solution. He purchased over 600 video tapes of folk festivals and plays from a Hongshan antique store and allowed Lifeng to watch TV all day. He did not expect the kid to become engrossed with what he saw and took it all in. One day, Lifeng grabbed a cloth drying pole to fool around with. It was at that moment when Da Pan realized the boy's potential.
"Let's just keep it down," Da Pan waved his meaty paw around, "The kid barely scratched the surface of martial arts. Sure, his attacks look great and the flourishes are pretty, but true combat got nothing to do with that."
"So what is true combat all around?"
"It's all about 'knowing'. True combat is about defeating the opponent, not the spear. A spear wielder studies the spear manuals. A true fighter studies the foe."
"That's really deep, Master Da Pan. How exactly do we study that?"
"Well, it boils down to personality. Just you watch. He's just a kid, but Lifeng has the patience for it. And he's a meticulous one, too."

TOPIC: My friend lost a body part in an accident
ORIGINAL POST: I don't really know how to comfort her. Can anybody help? She keeps telling me she's alright but everyone's really worried. Losing a body part is definitely not alright. But how should we approach it without making her sad?
RE: Anonymous User 981902#8090 12:50
Speaking from experience, if people around me act as though everything is fine, I would know they're trying to keep their views to themselves. And that would make me sad. But if people really focused on it and do what they can to help me, I would also feel sad since I'd keep focusing on my missing part. So I guess this is a really tough situation to handle. The most important thing should be the fact that you and your friend care for each other. Just be honest with your feelings.

TOPIC: There are 3 versions of Martial Codex in circulation and certain parts contradict each other. Which one is closer to the OG?
ORIGINAL POST: And MOST Importantly, none of the 3 versions have the official HAS seal of approval. And the differences are humongous.
RE: Anonymous User 981902#8090 10:26
I happen to have personal experience in the practice and field use of the spear. Here are my two cents. All 3 versions published by TGCC are fake, and contain plenty of ridiculous and misleading errors. Every version of the Martial Codex includes records of Yanese spearmancy such as Spear of Empyrean Return and Pear Blossom Spear of Wuling. But one of the versions made a super exaggerated claim that ancient Tianshi could flick the sun and moon with their spears. They even furnished this section with great warriors of questionable authenticity flying all over the place (for details, refer to the Wrankwood movie industry during the Age of Terra, plenty of their stuff is based on false fantasies). The Martial Codex we have in the EFDB might be a dry and boring read, but it contains detailed records and identities of the practitioners and masters of various spearmancy schools. The Codex even has commentaries and suggestions written by the practitioners themselves. The Codex has detailed descriptions of everything from folk martial artists to Imperial Guards of Yan, Silverlance Pegasi of Kazimierz, wielders of piledriver spears, and even Kazedelian mercenaries. The author is truly admirable for being able to secure such a huge range of resources while giving off the vibe of being on equal standing of numerous legends! The commentaries were also written in a concise yet vivid style. It takes great conviction to achieve this. Hence, I truly believe that the Martial Codex in the EFDB is the original from the Age of Terra. The others that we can easily buy are just crude and exaggerated copies. A true shame, if you ask me.

FILE 3
Lifeng's neighbors in Wuling reacted differently when he received an internship opportunity at Endfield.
Some genuinely felt happy for him, especially the elderly who saw him grow up. They all agree that it was time for the youth to head out there and see the bigger world.
"The youths of Wuling are the best and most virtuous. Lifeng, especially. Lad is always thinking about others. When Granny Bai forgets about her meds, Lifeng is the first person she calls."
"The boy trains in the wee hours of the morning. He'll also carry all the trashbags from the entire neighborhood to the dump. That's what I call looking out for your neighbors."
A few felt sad, such as Lifeng's childhood companions. They treated him as the chieftain of the group. Now that Chieftain Lifeng found a serious job, the group was left without a leader.
Lifeng comforted them by revealing he would be interning at Endfield Industries, a company that works closely with Wuling. He could simply ask the Endministrator for leave to visit Wuling again.
Despite his efforts, everyone got pretty anxious on the day of departure.
The regular safety drill was also scheduled that day. Captain Mi Fu came to the neighborhood and listened to the children talk about this. She interrupted them brusquely: "Nonsense. He'll be back. Won't be going nowhere 'cause this is where his heart is."
"Really?"
"Lifeng never told us he was leaving Wuling. I thought he likes this place a lot."
"yeah, Captain Mi. I thought he always wanted to join the Watchguards! Lifeng is just gonna learn some skills at Endfield, right? He'll be back!"
"But this is a nice place. Why would he leave?"
Mi Fu removed the baba breadstick from her mouth. People know that this was her cue for dropping some serious truthballs.
"Lifeng has a habit of getting himself in trouble. He's not the idle type."
"Getting himself in trouble? What does that mean?"
"Leaving is troublesome, right?"
"I don't understand, Captain Mi..."
"Hmm, how should I put this?" Mi Fu combed her hair with her fingers, "It's like wearing shoes. Old shoes are cushy and fitting. New shoes are another thing. Tight and loose at all the wrong places. Might even leave you bleeding."
"Of course, Captain Mi. So why do we swap to new shoes?"
"Oh, I know! Our feet got bigger!"
"But everyone's feet get bigger when they get older, right?"
"Stupid kids! You get new shoes to travel to other places!"
"KYAA! Captain Mi is so loud and so mean..."
"...Just remember. People leave to better themselves before coming back. You should feel happy for him."
The decision to visit a brand new place came suddenly to Lifeng. When the Blight Tide surged forth, Lifeng realized his proud spear was as fragile as a rolled paper.
He witnessed the massive Protocol Automation-Core breaking through the clouds and landing right in front of him. And in an instant, it deployed all sorts of machines before him. Lifeng realized how small he was, and smallness meant that he could not protect everything. He then realized that he was getting older. He always thought he could protect everyone by simply staying put. It felt as though someone scooped him out from a pond and cast him into the sea. Then he remembered he had never seen the oceans before. There are no beaches at Wuling.
And thus he desired to look at the oceans, the empyrean, and the world itself. These would transform him into a person with true strength. When that day comes, he shall return to his beloved Wuling and continue his march forward.

DOCUMENT: An Old Notebook
(The poor handwriting on the cover page was penned quite a few years ago)
Uncle Pan said the spear is the king of all weapons. A spear expert will quickly learn everything else. "One month to master the staff, one year to master the blade, and one lifetime to master the spear." And propriety is harder than spearmancy. It's all about agility, dexterity, flexibility, speed, haste, and being razor sharp.
MUST REMEMBER THIS! (This line is furnished with double underlines)
.....
Never slack when holding a spear. The point shall be right before the chest to convey power and might without fury.
Never direct the point to yourself, but only at the enemy.
Never thrust a foe that enters the circle, but only block. Thrust a foe attempting a stab.
.....
Stance of the Azure Dragon's Claw
Capable of parrying various moves, with just the right strength. Counter-thrust when the enemy strikes with a spear. Steady one's footing to keep the enemy pinned.
.....
FEINT (the word is given a double underline)! Gotta put more time in this! Fall backwards to feint defeat, wait for the foe to thrust, leap back on the feet and seize the foe's weapon.
(Scribbled comments) Take a step backwards to make a good advance? This is so difficult.
.....
Must get the basics down. 100 rounds for the lancer and spear. EACH. Meihuazhuang and Liuhequan routines must be done daily. Skip 3 days of training and your body will notice. Skip 7 days and your foe will exploit it. MUST REMEMBER THIS!

Not sure if I can cool my arm in the fridge (gets a little hot when I use it too much). Should try asking that senior employee at the Logistics Division.
Never saw people from that many places across the world. Very impressive. Hope they won't complain about my accent (could be a little too heavy).
Canteen food is SO GOOD when Uncle Pan is around!!
Just ran into Antal. Told me he's using the molass I brought from home as shoe polish... It's alright, I guess. We're buddies.
Operator Avywenna is an expert spear user as well! Gotta ask her for a few tips! Never saw a spear of that style. Woot (NOTE: Don't piss her off)
They told me the Endmin will be talking to me tomorrow and I should try to relax and not look so nervous. BY TALOS! I'm so nervous right now! Gotta think about my recent performance!
PLS PLS PLS LEMME PASS! I really wanna work at Endfield!
AWESOME! I PASSED!!! AAAAAA!! Okay. Gotta keep my composure for my formal employee photo. No stupid grins. Hands in pockets. Really wanna do some spear stance. Anyway, Lifeng, you're an actual operator now! DON'T BE A DEADWEIGHT!

"I came to Endfield to learn. But ... there's way too much to take in. Gotta work even harder!"
Lifeng, born in Wuling City, now interns at the Specialist Tech Division of Endfield Industries.
Back in Wuling, Lifeng's mind and personalities made him popular with his peers and elders. Years of guidance from Da Pan have honed his spear fighting skills, arming him for his pursuit of justice. Few would guess from his cheerful demeanor the shadow he carries — an accident that shattered his once-happy family and cost him an arm. Yet hardship has never dimmed his fire. He continues to grow with sincerity and passion, yearning for the day he can take on greater responsibilities. Someday, he will stand tall on his own and return to protect the home that waits for him.
"One day, I'll be capable enough to take on the toughest missions. Please look forward to that day, Endmin."
