Reroll Tier List

14 SSR worth restarting your account for, ranked by our sourced tier list and cross-checked against which banner actually offers them to a new account.

Quick answer

If you're rerolling, aim for Meliodas first — it's the only hero with its own dedicated new-player banner. Any other SS-tier SSR from the list below is also worth keeping; everything else comes from the same standard pool so it's luck-based, not targeted.

Best reroll target

Meliodas5★
Meliodas
SS New player exclusive Combo damage: 449%

The only hero with a banner that says so in its own text: "New player banner — available for 21 days from your first login" This is a dedicated pickup for new accounts, not the general SSR pool — the closest thing this game has to a guaranteed reroll target.

4★ heroes — not reroll targets

10 4★ (SR) heroes exist in the same roster, but they aren't what a reroll is for. Rerolling means restarting your account to gamble on a strong SSR from your first pulls — 4★ heroes come from the same standard pool at a much higher rate (SSR sits at 0.8% per pull, everything else is the remaining pool) and don't need targeted luck, so we list them here for reference instead of ranking them on the SSR ladder above. One exception: Slater is handed to every new account for free from the Beginner banner, no pulling required.

How this reroll ranking is built

Only 5★ (SSR) heroes are ranked — a reroll gamble is about which SSR your first pulls land, so 4★ heroes sit in a separate reference list below instead. Tier order (SS/S/A) is the same cross-checked tier list used on our main tier-list page (three independent community tier lists (EN/JP/KR) compared, ties broken toward the lower tier) — reroll value follows raw power here because a fresh account has no investment yet to weigh.

Banner access is read directly from the game's own banner text, not assumed: a hero is tagged "new player banner" only when a live banner's own description contains that phrase; a hero is tagged "guaranteed free" only when a permanent banner explicitly names that hero as a guaranteed reward. Every other SSR is tagged "standard pool" — obtainable, but from the same 0.8%-per-pull Standard Banner as everyone else, with an 80-pull pity ceiling.

Where the game's own data exposes a hero's combo-damage percentage (11 of 14 SSR), it's shown as extra context under the tier badge — a hero that hits hard in combos alone needs less team investment to feel strong on a fresh account, which matters more for reroll value than it does for an endgame roster.

Questions people ask

What makes this different from the main tier list?

The main tier list ranks all 24 combatants for endgame power. This page only ranks the 14 SSR (5★) since those are the actual gamble when you reroll, and it adds which banner you can realistically pull each one from — information the main tier list doesn't need.

Should I reroll for an A-tier hero instead of stopping early?

If your first pulls land an SS-tier SSR, that's generally worth keeping over rerolling further — A-tier SSR are still solid, but they sit below SS/S on the sourced tier list, so only chase one specifically if it fills a role gap none of your other pulls cover.

Frequently asked questions

Is rerolling even worth it?

Only if you are chasing a specific combatant. The team shares one HP bar and element matters more than rarity, so a broad account beats a narrow one with a single lucky pull. If you just want to start playing, skip it — the starting pulls plus early story rewards already give you a workable team.

How long does one reroll take?

The bottleneck is the tutorial and the first pulls, not the download. Budget a full run per attempt and decide up front how many attempts you will do — rerolling is worth it only while it costs you less time than simply playing to the same pulls.

Does rerolling make you lose new-player rewards?

No — every reroll creates a brand new account, and new-player rewards trigger on that account's own first login, not on your device. A fresh account still gets its own 21-day new player banner and its own guaranteed Beginner banner pull. The 120th Draw Bonus is granted once per Hero Pick Up banner rather than once per account, so the account you keep earns it again on every new Pick Up.

My first SSR isn't the top pick — do I have to reroll again?

Not right away. On the new-player pickup banner specifically, if the SSR you pull isn't the featured hero, the game guarantees your very next SSR on that same banner will be — so keep pulling on your current account first. Only start a fresh reroll if you're not willing to spend the extra pulls to reach that guaranteed follow-up.
