Best Teams
Balanced squads built around Attacker, Warden and Supporter roles.
This page lists 9 ready-made team compositions — one per element (Fire and Darkness each have two variants) plus a no-gacha-required starter team — built from two community team-comp guides (updated 15/07/2026 and 25/03/2026), cross-checked wherever both sources cover the same team. Each card explains the rotation and cites its source.
Best Overall Team (Darkness Core)
Meliodas is the main Darkness DPS. Diane tanks hits and builds the Burst Gauge on the front line — switch to Meliodas once Burst is up to unleash his Skills and Special Attack. Mannie or Daisy add extra buffs to push his damage even higher. A safe, beginner-friendly core that works before you have a full elemental roster. (Source: a community team-comp guide, updated 15/07/2026 — "Best Overall Team Comp", 1 source.)
5★Substitute for Diane as Burst support — also deals real damage, good for fast rotations.
4★Substitute for Mannie or Daisy, adding buffs and debuffs that push Meliodas' damage further.
Best Fire Team
Tristan carries the setup: his weapon passive stacks a Fire damage buff (up to 25%, 5% per stack) and lowers enemy Fire resistance for the whole team. Tioreh then grants +8% Crit Chance whenever enemies have lowered Fire resistance — free crit off Tristan's debuff. Guila is the main damage dealer: build her Impulse Stacks, pop her Ultimate for Demon Form burst damage, and her rapier charges Burst Gauge faster on burned enemies. Hendrickson keeps the team alive with a healing-area Ultimate plus a Defense buff. (Source: two community team-comp guides [15/07/2026 + 25/03/2026] — 2 sources, exact 4/4 member match.)
Best Wind Team
Elaine is the main DPS — her Crit Damage spikes hard during Wind Burst. Trigger Burst with Tristan, then switch to Elaine to attack. Howzer's Ultimate boosts Crit Damage for the whole Wind team right before Burst for maximum numbers; apply Bleed with Tristan first, then swap to Howzer's Special Attack to strip enemy Crit Resistance and set up Elaine's crits. Daisy (or Howzer, in a support slot) lowers enemy Wind resistance to add more damage. (Source: two community team-comp guides [15/07/2026 + 25/03/2026] — 2 sources, core trio Elaine/Tristan/Howzer matches; the 15/07 guide's 4th slot is Daisy, the 25/03 guide instead runs Hendrickson as a dedicated healer — swap Daisy↔Hendrickson depending on whether you need sustain.)
Best Cold Team
Mannie hits hardest during Cold Burst, especially with invested Crit Chance gear. Trigger Burst with Jericho, then spam Mannie's Frost Strike Normal Skill as the main damage source. Daisy's kit grants Crit-related buffs to the whole party, further amplifying Mannie's Critical-based damage; Elaine rounds out the support. (Source: two community team-comp guides [15/07/2026 + 25/03/2026] — 2 sources, core duo Mannie+Jericho matches on both; the 15/07 guide's other 2 slots are Daisy/Elaine, the 25/03 guide instead runs Slater+Hendrickson for a more sustain-focused variant — pick per your roster.)
Best Earth Team
Diane is the main damage dealer and shines hardest while Earth Burst is active. Lower the enemy's Earth Burst Resistance with Elaine's Special Attack to trigger Burst earlier, and use King's Ultimate for its Magic Recovery effect as soon as it's off cooldown — he also grants the whole team an Attack buff. Mannie rounds out the support with buffs and a Magic Recovery effect of her own. A highly balanced setup for both offense and defense. (Source: two community team-comp guides [15/07/2026 + 25/03/2026] — 2 sources, core trio Diane/Elaine/King matches; the 15/07 guide's 4th slot is Mannie, the 25/03 guide instead runs Hendrickson as a dedicated healer for longer fights.)
Best Lightning Team
Drake is a Burst-hungry DPS whose damage kicks in hard once Burst is active with debuffs stacked. Apply Shock with a Tag Skill at the start of the fight; Gilthunder gains bonus Burst Gauge attacking Shocked enemies and extends Shock with his Special Attack. Daisy buffs Drake's Crit Damage. Swap to Drake during Burst and let the damage fly. (Source: two community team-comp guides [15/07/2026 + 25/03/2026] — 2 sources, core duo Drake+Gilthunder matches on both; the 15/07 guide's other 2 slots are Daisy/Elaine, the 25/03 guide instead runs Slater+Hendrickson for a debuff-stacking + sustain variant.)
Best Darkness Team
Darkness is the one element that can't build its own Burst Gauge — you must activate a different element's Burst first, then follow up with a Darkness attack to overwrite it. Tristan and Tioreh activate a Fire Burst; once running, swap to a Darkness character to overwrite it and enter Darkness Burst. Bug's Grimoire passive boosts Darkness damage and its Curse debuff further amplifies output. Meliodas then goes in as the main damage dealer with everything stacked in his favor. (Source: two community team-comp guides [15/07/2026 + 25/03/2026] — 2 sources, exact 4/4 member match, both explain the same Fire→Darkness overwrite mechanic.)
5★Replaces Tristan as an alternate way to trigger the first (non-Darkness) Burst.
5★Replaces Bug or Tioreh with versatile buffs supporting Meliodas.
Best Holy Team
King is the star: every attack builds Bloom Stacks that increase his own Attack. Use Elaine and Mannie to activate skills and fill resources, then switch to King so he can keep attacking and stacking Bloom — a simple but effective loop. Hendrickson provides healing and defensive utility. (Source: a community team-comp guide, updated 25/03/2026 — 1 source; the other community guide does not cover a dedicated Holy team.)
5★A Greatsword Escanor build can flex in as a burn-stacking main DPS if you prefer AoE sustained damage over Bloom stacking.
5★Versatile buffs supporting King, replaceable slot depending on roster.
Best F2P Starter Team
The team to run if you're just starting out — every character here is easy to get early (Guila comes from the login event, the rest are available from the start; no pulling required). Tristan's weapon passive stacks a Fire damage buff up to 25% and lowers enemy Fire resistance. Tioreh grants +8% Crit Chance whenever Fire resistance is lowered. Guila builds Impulse Stacks then pops her Ultimate for 30 seconds of high damage and Burn. Slater rounds it out as a Fire character who benefits from all the buffs above, still doing meaningful damage even without a direct support role. Basic blue weapons are fine at this stage. (Source: a community team-comp guide, updated 25/03/2026 — 1 source; a separate community "Best F2P Heroes & Team Builds" article was not harvested for this pass.)
5★Once unlocked, Mannie is a stronger universal buffer than the early-game slots here.
4★Swap in once available for a dedicated healer if survivability becomes an issue.
Best Cold Team (1.7 Meta — Merlin)
Merlin (Grimoire) is the new Cold DPS: build up Frost stacks with Normal Skills and Special Attacks, then combine with her Ultimate buff to strengthen her switch-in skill. Clotho's "Rune Stone" buff rewards staying out of enemy hits, so keep her Rune Stones topped up with Special Attacks. Daisy and Elizabeth round out the support/sustain. (Source: a Japanese community team-comp guide, updated 2026/07/15 — 1 JP source; this is the newer SS-character meta pick, the older cold-frost team with Mannie/Jericho is still valid and cheaper to build.)
5★A non-combo way to trigger Burst if you are not running Ultimate-combo setups.
4★Replaces Elizabeth when you need a Healer instead of pure sustain buffs.
Best Fire Team (1.7 Meta — Escanor)
Escanor (Axe) is the new Fire DPS: attacks stack Burn, and once Magic and HP are both built up his Ultimate hits for massive damage — his 5-copy Awakening even adds an HP-gain effect to the Ultimate for extra synergy. Merlin (Staff) applies a Fire resistance debuff while chasing Burst. Daisy and Elizabeth round out the support. (Source: a Japanese community team-comp guide, updated 2026/07/15 — 1 JP source; this is the newer SS-character meta pick, the older fire-burn team with Guila/Tristan is still valid.)
Best Wind Team (1.7 Meta — Clotho)
Clotho (Staff) is the new Wind DPS: her Ultimate shortens skill cooldowns, so chain Normal Skills to keep damage flowing — she cannot combo-trigger Burst herself, so consider pairing with Longsword Tristan if you need a faster Burst. Mannie, Daisy and Elizabeth round out the support. (Source: a Japanese community team-comp guide, updated 2026/07/15 — 1 JP source; this is the newer SS-character meta pick, the older wind-crit team with Elaine/Howzer is still valid.)
5★A Wand Elaine build can flex in as the main DPS instead of Clotho — an easier combo-Burst rotation.
4★Alternative non-combo Burst trigger, faster with the right engraving.
Best Earth Team (1.7 Meta — Axe Diane)
Diane (Axe) is the DPS in this Earth build: her attacks apply a Break-style debuff that lets the whole team pile on damage. Elizabeth and Daisy buff Diane's damage while keeping the team alive; Elaine keeps a Shield up on the team, and while the Shield holds she also buffs everyone's Earth Attack and Defense — stay in Shield uptime as much as possible. (Source: a Japanese community team-comp guide, updated 2026/07/15 — 1 JP source; this is the newer SS-character meta pick, the older earth-shield team with King is still valid.)
Best Lightning Team (1.7 Meta — Wand Merlin)
Merlin (Wand) is the Lightning DPS here: after a combo Ultimate her "Overload" state raises her offense, then her Special Attack shortens her Normal Skill "Divine Judgement" cooldown so she can spam it. Gowther (Wand) is an official slot in this 1.7-meta trio (also core to the Darkness and Holy meta teams below) providing buffs. Daisy and Elizabeth round out the support. (Source: a Japanese community team-comp guide, updated 2026/07/15 — 1 JP source; this is the newer SS-character meta pick, the older lightning-shock team with Drake/Gilthunder is still valid.)
5★Replaces Gowther as an alternate non-combo way to trigger Burst.
Best Darkness Team (1.7 Meta — Gowther)
Same overwrite mechanic as the classic Darkness team: activate another element's Burst first, then follow up with a Darkness attack to overwrite it and unload with Meliodas (Longsword) via a combo Ultimate. Gowther (Grimoire) is an official slot in the 1.7-meta trio here, granting buffs while Magic builds toward the combo. Daisy and Elizabeth round out the support. (Source: a Japanese community team-comp guide, updated 2026/07/15 — 1 JP source; this is the newer SS-character meta pick, the older darkness-overwrite team with Tristan/Bug/Tioreh is still valid.)
5★Gauntlet Diane is an alternate non-combo way to trigger the first Burst that gets overwritten.
5★Same role as Diane — an alternate non-combo Burst starter.
Best Holy Team (1.7 Meta — Gowther)
Same core idea as the classic Holy team — King (Staff) attacks to stack Bloom and increase his own Attack, entering an enhanced "Full Bloom" state after his Ultimate. Gowther (Grimoire) is an official slot in the 1.7-meta trio here, buffing the team while King stacks. Daisy and Elizabeth round out the support. (Source: a Japanese community team-comp guide, updated 2026/07/15 — 1 JP source; this is the newer SS-character meta pick, the older holy-bloom team with Elaine/Mannie/Hendrickson is still valid.)
5★A Greatsword Escanor build can flex in as an AoE-friendly main DPS instead of Bloom-stacking King.
