Recommended Drive Discs

The standard set: 4pc King of the Summit for CRIT DMG, 2pc Woodpecker Electro to push CRIT Rate past the 50% threshold.
A pure-Daze variant: 2pc Shockstar Disco adds Impact for faster Stuns.

Quick verdict

Well worth investing in: a new-generation Stunner who racks up huge Daze while buffing the whole team's CRIT DMG and DMG, flexible enough to slot into both Attack and Rupture cores. Her downsides are that she wants a dual Impact + CRIT build, which burns through good discs, and that you have to order the team correctly to capture all of her native scaling.

Stat targets

Physical Stunner stat priority: aim for 400+ Impact and 60-65% Crit Rate (2.4), stacking Crit DMG after Crit Rate is met. Key threshold: Crit Rate >= 50% to get the full 4pc King of the Summit bonus; beyond that her kit converts EXCESS Crit Rate into Impact (up to +100 Impact per), so high Crit Rate raises both damage and Daze. Main stats: Disc 4 Crit Rate (or Crit DMG) / Disc 5 Physical DMG / Disc 6 Impact (or Energy Regen if off-signature). Substat priority: Crit Rate > Crit DMG > ATK% > PEN > Impact. (New agent, numbers from 2.4 guides — medium confidence.)

Rotation & combos

1) OPENER: enter and use Basic + Special to build Positive Review fast. 2) FIXED EX CHAIN: EX Special: Rock -> (2 Basics) -> EX Special: Scissors -> EX Special: Paper. All three EX cost 75 Energy; after Rock you have ~8s to link Scissors, then ~8s more for Paper; each EX grants 7.5 PR (full combo = +22.5 PR). 3) Paper applies Malicious Complaint — a debuff that raises damage taken, EXTENDS Stun, and adds +15% Stun DMG Multiplier (once the target is Stunned): this is the burst window. 4) At 90 Positive Review (or after an Ultimate) you gain Customer Complaint: HOLD Basic to fire Get Lost! and force a Chain Attack. 5) That Chain lets the NEXT ally cast their Ultimate immediately without spending Decibel -> swap to your main DPS to unload during the Stun, then repeat from step 2.

Pros
  • Top-tier enabler: forces a Chain and gives the next ally a FREE (no-Decibel) Ultimate — massively raising the main DPS's burst frequency.
  • Strong stunner: Malicious Complaint extends Stun and adds +15% Stun DMG Multiplier, opening a long, heavy burst window for the whole team.
  • Buffs and deals damage: excess Crit is converted into Impact (kit) and at M6 she adds a big Physical DMG instance — not an 'inert' Daze-only stunner.
  • Flexible teams: covers the Stun slot for both Attack DPS (Evelyn, Ye Shunguang) and Rupture DPS (Yixuan, Banyue) thanks to a universal buff/enable frame.
Cons
  • The Rock->Scissors->Paper EX chain is timing-gated (~8s per step) and costs 75 Energy — dropping a step loses Malicious Complaint, demanding disciplined execution and energy management.
  • Dual stat-hungry: needs 400+ Impact AND 60-65% Crit Rate to optimize both Daze and damage — heavier disc farming than a pure-Impact stunner.
  • Reliant on her signature Yesterday Calls (Crit Rate + off-field energy + team Crit DMG buff); off-signature you must give up the Energy Regen main stat on Disc 6.

Endgame mode fit

Shiyu Defense

Excellent in Shiyu Defense: an ideal single-target enabler — Stun extension + free Ultimates for the main DPS (Evelyn/Ye Shunguang or Yixuan) pile burst onto the boss in the Stun window and clear a side fast. (Inferred from kit + 2.4 sample teams, medium confidence.)

Deadly Assault

Also strong in Deadly Assault: against high-HP foes the free-Ultimate chain + Stun extension + RES pen (M1) lets the main DPS post high scores; rotates well with Rupture (Yixuan + Lucia) or Attack (Evelyn + Astra Yao). (Inferred from kit + guide teams, medium confidence.)

Core Skill2

Core Passive: Five-Star Service Hotline
Upon entering the battlefield, Dialyn starts with 60 Positive Reviews. If her initial CRIT Rate surpasses 50%, her Impact increases by 1.4% for each additional 1%, up to a maximum increase of 100. After using EX Special Attack: Rock, the next EX Special Attack becomes EX Special Attack: Scissors for 8s. After using EX Special Attack: Scissors, the next EX Special Attack becomes EX Special Attack: Paper! for 8s. When EX Special Attack: Paper! hits an enemy, it applies the Malicious Complaint effect. While under Malicious Complaint, if the enemy becomes Stunned, the Stun duration is extended by 2s, and Stun DMG Multiplier increases by 15%. Before recovering from Stun, Malicious Complaint can trigger on the same target only once. The Stun duration bonus does not stack with similar effects. When an enemy with Malicious Complaint recovers from being Stunned, the effect ends. While in combat, Dialyn gains 0.6 Positive Reviews per second. When a heavy attack of EX Special Attack: Rock, EX Special Attack: Scissors, or EX Special Attack: Paper! hits enemies, she gains 7.5 Positive Reviews. Each use of a skill can grant this bonus only once, up to a maximum of 120. With at least 90 Positive Reviews, when Dialyn triggers the Chain Attack window using Chain Attack: Welcome Mat, EX Special Attack: Get Lost!, or Quick Assist: Forward Call, the next character to switch in will have their Chain Attack upgraded to an Ultimate. When an ally launches an Ultimate this way, Dialyn consumes 60 Positive Reviews. With at least 90 Positive Reviews, when Dialyn hits an enemy with EX Special Attack: Get Lost! and doesn't trigger a Chain Attack window, she consumes 90 Positive Reviews to forcibly trigger a Chain Attack window. The next character to switch in will have their Chain Attack upgraded to an Ultimate. Each time Positive Reviews reaches 90 or an Ultimate is activated, Dialyn obtains 1 Customer Complaint. A maximum of 1 Customer Complaint can be held at a time.*Stats shown are at Base level.

Additional Ability: External Line
When another character in your squad is an Attack or Rupture character: Dialyn's EX Special Attack CRIT DMG is increased by 50%. When an EX Special Attack or Ultimate is activated, all squad members gain the Overwhelmingly Positive effect. While Overwhelmingly Positive is active, DMG dealt is increased by 40% for 15s. When Dialyn uses an EX Special Attack or Ultimate while Overwhelmingly Positive is active, if the remaining duration of Overwhelmingly Positive is less than 35s, its duration is extended by 10s. When a heavy attack from EX Special Attack: Rock, EX Special Attack: Scissors, or EX Special Attack: Paper! hits, additional DMG is dealt based on the previous squad member's Specialty: If the squad member is an Attack Agent, EX Special Attack: Rock, EX Special Attack: Scissors, and EX Special Attack: Paper! deal additional DMG equal to 320% of that Attack Agent's ATK. If the squad member is a Rupture Agent, EX Special Attack: Rock, EX Special Attack: Scissors, and EX Special Attack: Paper! deal additional DMG equal to 400% of that Rupture Agent's Sheer Force.

Mindscapes — how far is worth it?

M1 Boundless Hospitality Worth it

The amount of Positive Reviews accumulated each second and gained when EX Special Attack: Rock, EX Special Attack: Scissors, or EX Special Attack: Paper! hits an enemy increase by 16%. While the Overwhelmingly Positive effect is active, characters ignore 15% of enemy All-Attribute RES. Welcome to the Cross-Department Customer Service Center! Our motto is simple: always wear a smile, always greet every customer with passion~! A smile... the one expression I once found hardest to fake. When did it become second nature to me? "Hello there, darling~ How can I help you? Well~ not that I really can do anything for you!"

M2 24/7 Hotline Worth it

Enemies affected by Malicious Complaint gain an additional 20% Stun DMG Multiplier when Stunned. All units deal 15% increased DMG to targets affected by Malicious Complaint. TOPS is the biggest corporate alliance in New Eridu, and our work keeps this city alive~! We're the essential lubricant that keeps this great machine turning, so our service hotline must stay open 24/7, no matter what! Endless noise and constant chatter? No problem — that's what I know best. "Please feel free to contact me anytime~! No matter when you do, I'll still be just as annoying~!"

M3 Call From the Hollow Low value

Basic Attack, Dodge, Assist, Special Attack, and Chain Attack Lv. +2 The Hollows are a vast tomb, where every echo of life falls silent within its pitch-black coffin. But to me, it's a call I can never refuse, the final page of every diary, a memo of obsession and lingering resentment. Even if... all that talk of letting go or holding on, they've got nothing to do with my own story. "It's alright! I've talked with plenty of clients far harder to communicate with than you~!"

M4 The Past Never Fades Situational

Upon entering combat, Dialyn recovers 20 Energy. This effect can trigger once every 180s in Investigation Zone Mode. While the Overwhelmingly Positive effect is active, Dialyn's ATK increases by 500. People always treat me like a kid because I'm small, but my childhood is long since over. Which day did it end, though? The first time I heard the whispers of the dead? When I was sent into the Hollow as a sacrifice? Or that first night I cried myself to sleep? With no one to protect me, I had to find my own footing. Unable to forget the past, I pretended to let it go. "I don't care about your personal issues~ but I am very concerned about how your childhood trauma might affect my complaint rate~!"

M5 Lies Low value

Basic Attack, Dodge, Assist, Special Attack, and Chain Attack Lv. +2 We lie when others still care about us, and only tell the truth once they've stopped. Such foolish choices always lead to regret. My job is simply to use yesterday's regrets to make today's a little lighter. I know people always lie, but at least there are still some who bother to lie to me. "My suggestion? Mix a bit of flattering nonsense in between your insults — it'll work in your favor~!"

M6 Truth Worth it

When an ally enters the field with an Ultimate through the Core Passive's effect, that ally gains the Aftertone effect. With this effect, landing an attack causes Dialyn to deal an additional instance of Physical DMG equal to 480% of Dialyn's ATK. This DMG is treated as EX Special Attack DMG, and can trigger once every second, up to 12 times. Gaining Aftertone again refreshes its trigger count. Only one ally can have Aftertone at a time. A sudden death is like a moment preserved in time, capturing truth in its final, immutable form. I take these specimens from the hands of the dead, using their death certificates as the foundation for my judgments. Pure, objective "truth" is the only rule I can depend on, the only thread guiding my way forward... until— "Proxy, can I lie as well?"

Background & Lore

Dialyn works as a customer service representative for TOPS' Cross-Department Customer Service Center, though few know her other identity — a Krampus Compliance Authority Judge. She calls herself TOPS' top-rated representative, yet she also tops the list for the most complaints in the department. Despite never flaunting her authority as a Judge, she always delivers verdicts that cut closest to the truth. Dialyn was born with the ability to hear the voices of those on the brink of death within the Hollows — a talent that's unmatched. Yet to a young Dialyn, it was a tormenting curse. Be it gift or curse, she has long turned it into a blade for discerning the truth. Despite the trials and tribulations she's borne, she's come far. Increase Trust to Close to unlock more "Curse" — not just a word for the torment of those endless voices of the dead echoing through the Hollows, but also for the ill fate brought by such a sinister gift. Before a secondary Hollow outbreak, Dialyn's neighbors, misled by a construction company, turned on her, sending the "ill-omened" child into a Hollow as a sacrifice for their own safety. Naive to humanity's cruelty but kind at heart, the young Dialyn willingly offered her life to save everyone, but upon stepping into the Hollow, her accursed gift revealed the cruel truth: it had all been a scheme by the construction company. The residents — whose lives had been covered by massive insurance policies — were doomed to die within the Hollow, and Dialyn was simply the bait to keep them from fleeing. She heard her secret curse betrayed, the hatred the dead had towards her, the voices of all who perished, and the lies of those who lived. She can no longer recall how she made it through that barren wasteland. But ever since Krampus took her in, she's been ready: Amid the unending struggle between lies and truth, she would learn to pass her own judgment on good and evil. Belle She might seem to switch back and forth between jokes and sarcasm, but if you have the patience to listen closely, you'll find that deep down, Dialyn is someone with strong principles and real courage! Wise Dialyn may come across as a little harsh sometimes, but she's the type to always speak up against injustice and be honest with her friends. She's even the one who told me about Belle sneaking out to hang out with our Agents without me.

How to read this build page

Every Agent build page has 4 parts: a stat table by level, W-Engine/Drive Disc suggestions, a Mindscape roadmap, and recommended teams. Read them in that order — stats tell you "what you need", gear tells you "where to get it", Mindscape tells you "is it worth pulling", teams tell you "who to pair with". The section below explains how to read each part, and it applies the same way to every character on the site.

How to read the stat table and level

The stat table shows values at the ascension breakpoints (usually the final one, e.g. Lv60) — these are BASE stats with no gear added, useful for comparing Agents or checking whether you've ascended far enough. CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG are shown separately because they set the damage ceiling once Drive Disc substats stack on top. If your real stats are lower than the table, you likely haven't fully ascended or leveled yet — it's not a build mistake.

Why the W-Engine and Drive Disc picks make sense

Most Agents have a "signature" W-Engine designed for their exact role, plus a few cheaper standard-banner substitutes. Missing the signature isn't a dead end — most Agents keep most of their power with a well-matched substitute, just short by some amount of total damage.

  • Drive Disc sets (2pc + 4pc) are picked for the set effect that fits that Agent's playstyle (mono-element, Anomaly, stun, and so on).
  • Substats follow a priority that changes by role: Attack-type Agents usually chase CRIT Rate/CRIT DMG before ATK%; Anomaly-type Agents add Anomaly Proficiency to that mix; Stun/Support roles often value survivability or energy stats over pure CRIT.

These weights differ per character — follow the exact substat priority table above rather than applying one formula to every role.

Is Mindscape worth chasing

General rule: M0 (no duplicates) already clears the game's hardest content, even for S-rank Agents. Mindscape is a duplicate-fueled upgrade system, and each level costs more resources for a smaller power gain. For most Agents, the best value stop is usually M1–M2 (where some key effects unlock), while M6 is almost always for players chasing the absolute ceiling, not a requirement. Check the Mindscape section in the table above for that specific Agent's numbers.

Skill priority by role

There's no single order for every Agent, but the general pattern by role is:

  • Attack: level the main damage skill first (Basic or Special Attack depending on kit), Dash/Dodge last.
  • Stun: prioritize whichever skill builds Daze/Stun fastest, since the stun window is where the whole team dumps damage.
  • Support: prioritize buff or energy-generating skills over personal damage — this role's value comes from lifting the whole team.
  • Anomaly: prioritize the skill that stacks anomaly buildup, since most of the damage comes from the triggered effect, not the direct hit.

Always level the Core Skill steadily alongside the rest — it's a baseline stat that affects the whole rotation, not just one move.

Dialyn FAQ

What is the best W-Engine for Dialyn?

Dialyn performs best with Yesterday Calls. See alternatives and required stats in the Gear section above.

Is Dialyn worth pulling?

Well worth investing in: a new-generation Stunner who racks up huge Daze while buffing the whole team's CRIT DMG and DMG, flexible enough to slot into both Attack and Rupture cores. Her downsides are that she wants a dual Impact + CRIT build, which burns through good discs, and that you have to order the team correctly to capture all of her native scaling.

What is the best team for Dialyn?

Dialyn works best in the Stun for an Attacker team. Full members and rotation are in the Teams section.

Who voices Dialyn in Zenless Zone Zero?

Dialyn (faction Krampus Compliance Authority, birthday May 28) is voiced according to the official credits published on the HoYoverse Wiki. See the full English/Japanese/Korean/Chinese voice actor list in the "Voice Actors & Character Info" block above — this data is pulled directly from the official wiki, not guessed.

Which Mindscape of Dialyn is worth investing in?

Dialyn has 6 Mindscape tiers (M1-M6), each unlocking its own effect detailed in the "Mindscape" block above (official wording). Mindscapes cost Mindscape Cinema currency farmed from limited banners, so weigh it against your budget — F2P players usually stop at M0-M1 and prioritize W-Engine and Drive Discs before pushing Mindscape higher.

How much Denny and how many materials to level Dialyn to Lv60?

Leveling Dialyn to max Lv60 (ascension + basic skills to 12 + core skill A→F) costs roughly 1,706,000 Denny, plus role-specific ascension materials, attribute-specific skill chips, high-dimensional data, and weekly boss drops — see the full list with exact quantities in the "Materials Needed" block above, sourced from the game's official leveling tables.
