Top-Up Guide

How Astrite bundles and the Lunite subscription work — and how to judge real value without guessing at prices.

Wuthering Waves sells two things with real money: one-time Astrite bundles and a recurring monthly subscription that pays out Lunite. This page explains how each one works and what it is actually worth in-game — not what it costs, since Kuro Games prices differ by store and region and this site has no verified source for that number.

This site cannot confirm real-money prices for Astrite bundles or the Lunite subscription — they vary by store and region. Always check the live price inside the game or your store before buying.

Three currencies at a glance

Shell CreditFree from play · crafting, forging and shops
AstriteEarned free from play, and also granted by top-ups · 160 per Convene pull
LunitePaid currency only · converts to Astrite, so it also works out to 160 per Convene pull

The six Lunite tiers and the first-time bonus

The store sells exactly 6 fixed tiers. Lunite converts to Astrite 1:1 and one convene costs 160 Astrite. Each tier carries a one-time doubling bonus; once used, later purchases of that tier return a smaller top-up instead. The bonus is tied to your ACCOUNT rather than to where you pay, so it only ever counts once.

PackList price First buyLater buysConvenes (first buy)
60 Lunite $0.99 120 60 0
300 Lunite $4.99 600 330 3
980 Lunite $14.99 1,960 1,090 12
1,980 Lunite $29.99 3,960 2,240 24
3,280 Lunite $49.99 6,560 3,880 41
6,480 Lunite $99.99 12,960 8,080 81

The developer has reset these first-time bonuses at major version updates before. If you are planning a large pack, check the store notice first — right after a reset is the cheapest moment to buy.

Monthly pass: the best value if you log in daily

At 4.99 USD you get 300 Lunite immediately, then 90 Astrite on each day you log in for 30 days. That totals about 3,000 Astrite, roughly 18 convenes — clearly more than a one-off Lunite pack at the same price. One catch: once your remaining time is 179 days or more, buying again no longer stacks and returns a flat 330 Lunite instead.

Season pass: what actually separates the two tiers

The pass unlocks at Union Level 9 and resets each season of roughly 40 days. The free track gives about 234,000 Shell Credit and 5 standard convene tickets. The lower paid tier costs 9.99 USD and adds 680 Astrite, 5 limited convene tickets, 2 standard tickets and 250 Premium Tuner — around 11 convenes in total. The higher tier at 19.99 USD only adds cosmetics, a few standard tickets, resonance material for the pass weapon, and 10 instant levels; if you play regularly those 10 levels arrive on their own.

Reaching level 30 of the paid track gives a box where you pick exactly 1 of these five 4★ weapons:

AutumntraceBroadblade LuminglossSword StonardGauntlets AugmentRectifier ThunderboltPistols

If you run out of time you can buy levels at 100 Astrite each — but that is Astrite you would otherwise spend on convenes, so only do it near the deadline.

Payment methods and purchase limits

Credit card, PayPal, App Store and Google Play are supported. Convenience-store payment and bank transfer are NOT. The purchase page has a cart: up to 6 of any single item and 15 items in total.

⚠ The prices above are the developer's standard USD list prices. What you actually see can differ because of regional tax and platform fees. We do not sell anything and take no commission from any top-up site — buy through the in-game store or the official top-up page, and never hand your account password to anyone.

How much do you need to spend to guarantee one limited character?

Computed with our own pity calculator, not copied from anyone: on average it takes about 81 convenes (≈ 12,960 Astrite) to land the featured character, because the featured chance is 50/50 and a loss is insured on your next 5★. The absolute worst case is 160 convenes (≈ 25,600 Astrite) — that is the hard ceiling, it cannot get worse. Half of all players hit a 5★ within their first 67 convenes.

Before you top up: add up the free Astrite you already hold (quests, events, redemption codes, mailbox). Most players only need to buy the shortfall, not the full 12,960.

⚠ The 0.8% base rate and the 80-convene hard pity are officially published. The gradually rising rate from around convene 66 ("soft pity") is NOT published by the developer — we model it from player-collected data, so the average above is an estimate, not a promise. Never spend beyond your means.

Astrite top-ups vs the Lunite monthly subscription

Astrite is bought directly in one-time bundles from the in-game shop — every store (Steam, PC launcher, App Store, Google Play) lists several tiers from small to large, and the exact price of each tier depends on your store and region, so check the live listing in-game rather than a number quoted elsewhere.

The Lunite monthly subscription works differently: it is a recurring paid pass that, once active, drips out Lunite (a Premium Currency usable for Convene, same as Astrite) automatically for as long as it stays subscribed — community-tracked income for an active subscription runs roughly 2,700 Lunite per month, worth about 17 extra Convene pulls on top of whatever Astrite you earn free-to-play.

Both currencies spend identically on Convene (160 per pull) and premium shop items — the difference is entirely in how you obtain them, not in what they buy.

How to judge which top-up is worth it

Since exact prices are not published on this page, judge value with a formula you can run against your own store's live listing: divide the Astrite (or Lunite) amount a bundle gives by its listed price in your currency — the tier with the highest Astrite-per-unit-of-money is the most efficient one, whatever that unit turns out to be in your region.

Two structural facts worth knowing before you compare: the monthly subscription is a recurring commitment (it keeps charging until cancelled) while a bundle is one-time, and Lunite from the subscription and Astrite from bundles are interchangeable for Convene — so the honest comparison is Lunite-per-month-of-subscription against Astrite-per-one-time-purchase, not a single "best pack" claim.

The free permanent code WUTHERINGGIFT (see the codes page) is worth checking before any real-money purchase — it currently adds Astrite and Shell Credit at no cost.

The first-purchase bonus, and why it decides your timing

Each top-up tier carries a one-time bonus the first time you buy that specific tier. Buying the same tier again later returns a smaller bonus instead. Because the bonus is tracked per tier, not per account in total, an untouched large tier is worth far more than a repeat purchase of a small one.

Two consequences worth planning around: the bonus is tied to your account, not the payment method, so switching store or platform does not hand you a second one; and the publisher has reset these bonuses during major milestones before, so read the store notice before assuming yours is spent. If a reset is live, that is the cheapest window there is.

⚠ We deliberately publish no prices or bonus amounts here. They differ by region and change without notice — read them off the official store at the moment you buy, not off any guide.

The battle pass — the part most top-up guides skip

Separate from currency top-ups, the game runs a seasonal pass alongside each version, with a free track everyone gets and a paid track you unlock. The paid track pays out in upgrade materials, currency and a weapon selector, and it fills up from the same daily and weekly play you were doing anyway.

There is also a higher-priced tier of that same pass. It does not add a different reward pool — it grants instant pass levels, so it buys time rather than value. If you clear your weeklies without trouble, the standard paid tier is the efficient one; the upgrade only pays for itself when a season is about to end and you cannot grind the levels.

⚠ The pass is tied to the version cycle. Buying it right before a version ends leaves rewards unclaimed — it does not carry over.

Does it cost the same on every platform?

No, and the reason is structural rather than anything the publisher chooses per player. Prices are set per region, and each storefront adds its own platform fee and local tax on top. That is why the same pack reads differently on a console store, a PC client and a mobile app store.

What does not change is the goods: the currency lands on the same account regardless of where it was bought, and — as above — the first-purchase bonus is account-bound, so buying somewhere new does not reset it.

⚠ We do not publish a cheapest-platform ranking. It depends on your country, your currency and the fees in force on the day, so any number we printed would be wrong for most readers. Open each storefront you already have access to and compare the listed price yourself.

Paying safely — read this before using any third-party site

Search results for topping up are dominated by resellers, not by the publisher. Some are legitimate businesses; the category as a whole is also where account theft happens. We are not going to rank them for you, so here is the part that actually protects you:

  • Never hand over your password or a login code. No legitimate top-up needs either. A site asking you to log in on its own page is a red flag, full stop.
  • Charges are hard to reverse once currency is delivered. Treat a top-up as final.
  • A price far below the official store is a warning, not a bargain — the usual explanations are stolen payment cards or region abuse, and the account that receives the goods is the one that gets banned.
  • The official store and the official payment page are always the safe route, even when they are not the cheapest.

We deliberately do not tell you how to pay through another country's store to lower the price. It breaches the terms you agreed to, and the account at risk is yours, not ours.

How much does one guaranteed character actually cost?

The honest answer is a range, not a figure, and it is worth doing the arithmetic before you spend rather than after. Two things set it: a Convene pull costs 160 Astrite, and the limited banner has a guarantee — a hard ceiling of pulls for a 5★, plus a rule for what happens when the first 5★ is not the featured one.

Multiply the pulls you need by 160 and you have the Astrite figure; divide that by what a tier actually gives on your own store's live listing and you have your real cost — in your currency, at today's price, with your unspent first-purchase bonus counted in.

Do not spend before checking your saved currency and your current pity count. Both carry over, and both routinely cut the bill by a large margin.

Frequently asked questions

How much does the Lunite monthly subscription actually give?
Community-tracked income for an active subscription runs roughly 2,700 Lunite per month, worth about 17 extra Convene pulls (at 160 Astrite/Lunite each) on top of free-to-play Astrite income.
Why doesn't this page list Astrite package prices?
Kuro Games prices Astrite bundles differently by storefront and region, and this site has no verified official source for those numbers — rather than guess, this page explains the mechanism and points you to the live in-game listing for the real price.
Is there a free way to get Astrite without paying?
Yes — daily activity, events, Tower of Adversity, and exploration are the main free-to-play sources, and the permanent WUTHERINGGIFT code adds a one-time bonus on top; see the codes page and the WuWa hub tools for the full breakdown.
