NIKKE Union Raid Guide: 5 Bosses in Order, 3 Attempts a Week & How Rewards Are Scored
5 sequential bosses, 3 attempts for the whole week, rewards by Union ranking
Union Raid only unlocks for Unions at level 3 or higher. Each raid season lasts 1 week, and here's the point newcomers most often misunderstand: you only get 3 attack attempts for the whole week, NOT 3 per day. Since each Nikke can only be used once across the entire week, the standard approach is preparing at least 3 completely separate 5-Nikke squads before the raid season opens.
The 5 bosses must be fought in strict order: Obelisk → Doctor → Halo → Modernia → Storm Bringer. You can't skip ahead or reorder — the Union has to clear (or exhaust attempts against) one boss before the next becomes available. Once the whole Union has fought through all 5 bosses, the cycle RESETS and starts over at a higher difficulty.
Damage from each attempt is recorded and deducted from the boss's shared HP pool (shared across the whole Union) — even if you fail to finish the boss off, the damage you dealt still counts. One useful detail: force-quitting or crashing does NOT consume an attempt, and there's a mock-battle mode to test your damage before spending a real attempt.
The main reward is Union Chips — used at the Union Shop (including for Harmony Cube Batteries). The chip amount scales with the boss stage level defeated, roughly 40-90 chips per boss per current data, plus a bonus chip payout based on the whole Union's ranking against other Unions at season's end.
The standard 5-element weakness wheel (Fire beats Wind, Wind beats Iron, Iron beats Electric, Electric beats Water, Water beats Fire) grants +10% damage when matched. For most Union Raid bosses this is just a multiplicative bonus — a standard DPS squad without the matching element still works fine, it isn't hard-gated. One noted exception: a phase called "Vertical Screw" reportedly hard-gates by element — this detail is worth double-checking (boss/phase name) before publishing, since the name "Kraken" also shows up in the Anomaly Interception mode in a different role.
