Deepspace Trial Guide: 6 Orbits, Trial Keys & Weekly Schedule

The holographic training ground with 6 orbits — and a weekly schedule most hunters miss.

Summary

Deepspace Trial is a Battle-menu mode built as a holographic training simulation by the Hunters Association and the World Evol Government's Bureau of Technology. It's split into 6 orbits: Open Orbit (itself divided into Stable and Fluctuant) plus five Directional Orbits, one per love interest's Evol — Light (Xavier), Ice (Zayne), Fire (Rafayel), Energy (Sylus) and Gravity (Caleb). Stable and Directional stages can only be cleared once each; Fluctuant Orbit is repeatable and gets harder the better you rate. Directional Orbits also only open on specific days of the week and cost Trial Keys, so timing matters.

What Deepspace Trial trains you for

Deepspace Trial provides a training ground matched to your challenger's Evol. Open Orbit is the general-purpose ground every hunter can access regardless of Evol, while each Directional Orbit is built to simulate the Wanderers and battlefield of one specific Evol — so Directional Orbit: Fire, for instance, is tuned around Rafayel's Fire-type fights.

Every training ground along an orbit has one or several connection nodes; clearing a trial unlocks its nodes, and once all the nodes on a ground are unlocked you move on to the next ground in that orbit.

Stable vs Fluctuant vs Directional — what repeats and what doesn't

Open Orbit splits into Stable Orbit and Fluctuant Orbit. In Stable Orbit, once you clear a training ground it's done — you can't challenge it again, but there's no daily clear limit either. Fluctuant Orbit, added July 3, 2025, works the opposite way: difficulty scales up with your star rating, and you can keep challenging it repeatedly, again with no daily limit.

Directional Orbit behaves like Stable Orbit in that cleared grounds can't be re-challenged, but it adds a resource gate: entering costs a Trial Key, you get 3 Trial Keys per day, and there's a daily clear limit of 3 as a result.

The weekly schedule — which orbit opens which day

Directional Orbits don't all open every day. Monday only opens Directional Orbit: Light. Tuesday opens Ice and Energy. Wednesday opens Fire and Gravity. Thursday opens Light and Energy again. Friday opens Ice, Fire and Gravity. Saturday and Sunday open all five. If you're chasing a specific Directional Orbit's stages, check this rotation before you plan your Trial Keys for the day — spending them on a Tuesday won't help you clear Directional Orbit: Fire, since that one only opens Wednesday and Friday.

Rewards — and how the ceiling keeps rising

Clearing Open Orbit: Stable and Directional Orbit stages earns Diamonds, Gold, Empyrean Wishes, Special Color Battle Outfits and Accessories. Fluctuant Orbit pays Diamonds and Gold, with a 3-star clear granting extra rewards, and collecting enough Trial Stars unlocks further Diamonds, Titles and Outfits.

The highest clearable stage keeps climbing with each content update — Open Orbit: Stable went from a stage-120 ceiling at launch in January 2024 up to stage 300 by July 2025, and Directional Orbits have followed a similar climb. If you've been away for a while, expect the top stage to be higher than you remember.

Modifiers you'll run into

As with every mode in the Battle menu, Deepspace Trial stages can flag a Field Fluctuation modifier under the battle name: a red Cornered Retaliation icon warns the enemy hits harder as its own HP drops, while green icons — Advancement (team-wide Crit DMG), Overflowing Energy (bonus damage on full Energy) and Resonant Pursuit (100% more damage taken for 8s after a Weaken) — signal an easier fight. Since Directional Orbit stages simulate a specific Evol's battlefield, pay attention to which enemy types you'll face there before spending a Trial Key you can't get back that day.

Tips for daily runs
  • Spend your 3 daily Trial Keys on whichever Directional Orbits are open that day per the schedule — they don't appear to carry over, so an unused key is a wasted key.
  • Clear Stable Orbit and Directional Orbit stages first since they're one-time rewards; treat Fluctuant Orbit as your repeatable grind once those are done.
  • In Fluctuant Orbit, aim for a 3-star clear rather than just clearing — the extra reward and Trial Star progress are tied to the rating, not just completion.
