Ark City — The Home Hub
Ark City is where you return between Chaos runs, holding 6 facilities that each cover a different slice of content. This page summarizes what every facility does, then dives into Epione Center — where combatants get counseled.
Ark City is the safe hub between combat runs, home to 6 facilities: Research Facility, Policy Office, Epione Center, Garden Cafe, Starshine Diner and Nono's Shop. Each facility manages a different slice of daily tasks or account progression.
Ark City
| Facility | What it does |
|---|---|
| Research Facility | Uses Research Notes (bought at Nono's Shop) to advance research across 3 skill trees; each research milestone unlocks an account-wide benefit, such as shortening Policy accumulation time, raising the max Aether you can hold, or unlocking new Excursion locations/perks (see the Excursion table below). |
| Policy Office | Policies accumulate over time; completing them earns Policy Points, spent at Nono's Shop. This facility also runs time-limited Projects (such as disaster response) — hitting the target within the time limit grants a reward based on the Grade reached. |
| Epione Center | Psychological counseling for each combatant to restore their mental state — every situation has multiple choices, and only the right chain of picks gives the highest recovery. Pick wrong and you waste that day's session. |
| Garden Cafe | Each day, you can either instantly recover some Aether or obtain an Aether recovery item to use later (the number of these items you can hold at once is capped). |
| Starshine Diner | Food is a temporary buff bought with Units at Starshine Diner, applying to your next 2 Chaos runs — see the full food table on the Items page. |
| Nono's Shop | Item shop — sells the Special Security Code, priced at 20 Policy Points each, used to unlock a specific combatant's Trauma Code. |
Epione Center — Per-Character Counseling Choice Chart
Epione Center is where combatants get psychological counseling to restore their mental state. Each situation is a chain of 2 consecutive choices (pick first, then pick next), and only one chain gives the HIGHEST recovery — picking the wrong chain wastes that session.
The table below lists the exact highest-recovery choice chain confirmed with a % by the community source. Situation names are kept in their original Japanese (with a translated meaning) since the source is Japanese and there's no official localized name. Community-compiled — no official announcement yet

Nono's Shop & Trauma Code
Nono's Shop sells the Special Security Code, priced at 20 Policy Points each — used to unlock a specific combatant's Trauma Code right from Epione Center. To unlock the feature the first time, you need to clear the Chapter 2 Episode 5 (Epione Center) substory first.
Excursion & Communication Pass
At Ark City, you spend a Communication Pass to go on an Excursion with a combatant currently at one of the city's 4 base locations. Each Excursion presents 2 dialogue choices, and affinity gain differs by choice (base values are +60 or +80). The table below lists the choice that gives the HIGHER affinity gain.
The Communication Pass is SHARED between Excursion (this section) and Counseling at Epione Center (the counseling section above) — each Pass can only be spent on ONE of the two, so you need to decide which one to prioritize.
・The story that triggers on a given day depends on which facility each combatant is currently stationed at — cross-referencing the Excursion log lets you narrow down which story will occur to a 50/50 guess.
・When you open the Excursion log, each combatant's current facility is always shown at the top of the list — that's why entries appear shifted or reordered differently per combatant.
