Frequently Asked Questions

What is The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin?
The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin (7DS Origin) is an open-world action RPG published by Netmarble, set in the world of the Seven Deadly Sins anime and manga. It blends soulslike real-time combat with gacha character collection, letting you recruit heroes like Meliodas, Escanor, Merlin and Diane, then build them up with weapons and gear sets.
What playable roles and elements exist in the game?
Every combatant belongs to one of four combat roles — Attacker, Supporter, Warden, or Buster — and one of several elements such as Fire, Earth, Wind, Holy, Thunder, Dark, and Ice. Mixing roles and elements correctly is the core of team building, since a balanced squad usually needs at least one Attacker, one Warden to tank hits, and one Supporter to keep everyone alive.
How does each combatant's weapon system work?
Most combatants in The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin can equip up to three different weapon types, and each weapon type unlocks its own set of skills — a Normal Attack, one or more active skills, and a Tag Skill for switching combatants mid-combo. Switching weapons on the same character effectively changes their whole moveset, so learning all three loadouts is key to mastering a combatant.
How does gear (equipment) work in 7DS Origin?
Equipment in The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin fills four slots — Top, Bottom, Belt and Shoes — and each named gear set unlocks bonus effects once you wear enough pieces of that set. Set sizes vary: some complete at 3 pieces, many at 4, and a few larger sets go up to 7. Bonuses range from flat stat boosts to passive skills that trigger in combat, so picking the right set for your build matters as much as picking the right weapon.
Is there a pity system, and how does it work?
Yes. On both the Standard and the Hero Pick Up banner an SSR hero is guaranteed within 80 draws, and pulling an SSR resets that counter. Only the Pick Up banner has a featured hero: the SSR you get there has a 50% chance of being it, and if it is not, your next SSR is guaranteed to be. Your accumulated draw count and that guaranteed status carry over to another Pick Up banner. Separately, reaching 120 draws on a Pick Up banner grants the Pick Up hero as a bonus, once per banner. SR (4★) items have their own hard pity of 10 draws. Use the pity planner on this site to see exactly how many draws you need.
