Quick verdict

Worth investing in if you run Anomaly teams: she's currently the strongest Anomaly Support, turning any Disorder team into a damage machine. She needs ~3000 ATK and ~200 AM to unlock her full buffs, and her value is almost zero in a team that doesn't run Anomaly.

Stat targets

Endgame targets: ATK ≥ 3,000 and Anomaly Mastery ≥ 200 — the two MANDATORY thresholds to unlock her full buffs. Only at 3,000 ATK does her Core 'Tanuki Wish' pass the FULL bonus ATK to the whole squad (Tanuki Wish gives +40% of initial ATK, up to ~+600; some sources cite up to ~1,200 total ATK counting the Additional Ability); only at 200 Anomaly Mastery does she cap the +20% Anomaly Buildup Rate and +20% Anomaly/Disorder DMG. Pair with Energy Regen ~1.2 to keep the loop flowing, and Impact ~93). Disc mains: 4 ATK% · 5 ATK% · 6 Anomaly Mastery (or ATK%). Substat priority: ATK% > ATK > Anomaly Proficiency > CRIT > PEN.

Rotation & combos

Yuzuha is an off-field support — brief on-field taps, then out. 1) OPENER: enter with 3 Sugar Points, press EX Special (or Ultimate) to apply Tanuki Wish (+ATK, +15% DMG) and +Anomaly Buildup to the team. 2) Quick Assist / Chain the main DPS (Miyabi, Jane, Alice…) in to pile anomaly; each Chain entry refunds Yuzuha a Sugar Point. 3) LOOP: on a window (perfect dodge / Assist), swap Yuzuha back via Quick Assist → one EX Special to REFRESH the 40s buffs, then quick-swap out; off-field, spend Sugar Points on Aftershock (Hard Candy Shot) to keep the anomaly flowing. 4) ULTIMATE when Decibels are full: refreshes buffs + returns Sugar Points, timed into the Disorder window. Rule of thumb: keep 100% uptime on the +15% DMG / +Anomaly Buildup, and do NOT mash Assist Follow-Up — wait for the correct timing.

Pros
  • The strongest Anomaly support of the 3.0 meta: a dense whole-team buff package (up to ~+600 ATK shared, +15% DMG, +Anomaly Buildup Rate, +Disorder DMG) that turns any Disorder team into a damage machine.
  • Very low field time: quick taps then out, giving the main DPS almost all the on-field time while buffs stay up — friendly even to less mechanically skilled players.
  • Strong energy and Sugar Point economy (Chain/EX/Ult refund Points, off-field Aftershock), plus a 'dyeing' mechanic that matches her element to teammates for faster anomaly buildup — steady buff uptime.
  • Highly flexible teams: from premium mono/Disorder comps (Miyabi, Vivian, Yanagi) down to F2P combos needing no limiteds (Piper + Lucy).
Cons
  • Near-zero value outside Anomaly/Disorder teams: pure Attack comps only get the ATK buff + energy, losing all the Anomaly Buildup/Disorder DMG that is her core.
  • Very demanding baseline stats: needs BOTH ~3,000 ATK and ~200 Anomaly Mastery to unlock full buffs — below those thresholds effectiveness drops noticeably, requiring careful disc farming.
  • Her Assist Follow-Up can't be mashed — it must be timed (dodge/assist) to be efficient, so the loop demands more rhythm than a press-and-forget support.

Endgame mode fit

Shiyu Defense

Very strong in Shiyu Defense: Yuzuha teams routinely clear a side in under ~150s. Run single/dual-target Disorder (Miyabi + Soukaku, or Jane + Vivian) to funnel her +15% DMG and +Anomaly Buildup into the burst window — Yuzuha and Sunna are the two T0 supports right now. The Yuzuha + Miyabi + Soukaku mono-ice line is easier and less variable than the Lycaon version.

Deadly Assault

Also very strong in Deadly Assault: Yuzuha teams commonly push 20,000+ points by piling anomaly on multiple high-HP foes. Shines most with double Disorder (Miyabi + Yanagi, Jane + Vivian) or the F2P Piper + Lucy combo — her 40s buffs blanket multiple attack waves, regularly a top scorer.

Mindscapes — how far is worth it?

M1 Lucky Constitution Worth it

Yuzuha regains 30 Energy when she enters the battlefield. In Investigation Zone Mode, this effect can trigger at most every 180s. Enemies in the Sweet Scare state have their All-Attribute RES reduced by 10%. The Attribute Anomaly DMG and Disorder DMG buff from her Additional Ability is increased to 130% of its original value. "Ugh, I'm done for!" "Yuzuha, you failed too? ...Hold up, a 92?! Are you seriously telling me you guessed your way to that score? You're just showing off!" "No, seriously! Luck only works if you don't overdo it. I had no reason to get such a high score on this one... I can feel it — there's no way the next test will have multiple choice!"

M2 Full of Colorful Company Worth it

When Yuzuha's EX Special Attack: Cavity Alert, EX Special Attack: Cavity Alert, Right Now!, or Ultimate: Surrender or Suffer the Mischief hits an enemy, all squad members' DMG increases by 15% and Anomaly Buildup Rate by 15%, lasting 40s and repeated triggers reset the duration. When a heavy attack hit an enemy that is not triggered this way have reduced Interrupt Level and forced Chain Attacks can only occur once every 20s. Whenever another character enters through a Chain Attack, Yuzuha gains 1 Sugar Points. Yuzuha's Basic Attack: Hard Candy Shot cooldown is reduced by 25%. "Kama, you've never left my sight, but how did you swap so many things like just like that?" "Heh heh~ Kama's got a lot of friends too! Come on out, everyone! Let me introduce them — left to right: Takenosuke, Inosuke, Hyakunosuke..." "Those names are completely different!"

M3 Fairytale of the Haunted City Low value

Basic Attack, Dodge, Assist, Special Attack, and Chain Attack Lv. + 2 "...The princess led a busy life. At sunrise, her silent and stoic maids would adorn her with lavish garments, a weighty crown, and layers of jewelry before guiding her to the throne where she used her powers to turn mundane stones into priceless gems." "Does the princess really have to turn stones into gems every single day? That sounds even more boring than doing homework while minding the shop." "Well... if she doesn't, the poor kingdom will collapse." "If a kingdom can only survive by overworking the princess, then let it collapse!" She bursts into laughter. Yes – let such a useless kingdom fall.

M4 Falling Magic Situational

The DMG of Yuzuha's Assist Follow-Up: Stuffed Hard Candy Shot and Assist Follow-Up: We Have Cookies increase by 30%, Anomaly Buildup Rate by 20%, and triggers a Quick Assist when it hits an enemy. The girl I saw through the narrow vent shone like she'd stepped right out of a fairytale. She was the real princess - and I was just a prisoner. Lord, she has so much already... would it be so wrong if I had just a tiny bit of it too? That's when the hairpin silently fell.

M5 Dreams of a Fading Winter Low value

Basic Attack, Dodge, Assist, Special Attack, and Chain Attack Lv. +2 The day the TOPS executives and the Inspection Team arrived, she and Manato had just returned form school. Their airship had to circle overhead for ages, waiting for a place to land because the guests' vehicles took priority. Sweating as they hurried across the skybridge, they passed just above a throng of reporters surrounding the guests. That's when she spotted the girl. That nigh, she had a dream: it was her being swarmed by reporters, walking that same path under the bridge. And at the end of it... stood a throne, waiting just for her. It had been a long time since she'd had a dream like that. She got up for a drink of water, replaying the words she'd overheard during the day: "A so-called expert Inspection Team, and they've got some rich girl tagging along just for show!" "Kama, Kama!" She cracked open the window and whispered. A fuzzy little face popped up instantly from outside. "I've got a great idea. Tomorrow night... let's go do something fun."

M6 Put Down Roots Low value

Gain 1 additional Sugar Points when successfully parrying an enemy attack using a Defensive Assist or Basic Attack: Tanuki Cloak. When using a Assist Follow-Up: Stuffed Hard Candy Shot, hold to charge for up to 0.8 seconds. Releasing or reaching full charge fires an extra powerful shell at the enemy. For every 0.4s charged, Yuzuha consumes 1 Sugar Point to fire an additional powerful shell, each dealing 300% of her ATK as Physical DMG. If any powerful shell from Assist Follow-Up: Stuffed Hard Candy Shot hits an enemy, all squad members' Disorder DMG Multiplier increases by 105% for 40s, an stacking up to 3 times, with each stack duration being calculated separately. In addition, if the powerful shell hits an enemy under Sweet Scare, it'll trigger 1 Basic Attack: Sugarburst Sparkles - Max attack. If Yuzuha is attacked while charging, she will automatically dodge the attack and immediately unleash the max-charged attack. The night the hearing ended, Baorong said they should celebrate Kaede getting a scholarship, so Mystics Wares closed early and the whole family went to Yum Cha Sin. During the meal, her brother called from the far-off Faunus Quarter to offer his congratulations. While Sumire and A-Wen animatedly recounted the day's events: a calico cat at school had lost her kitten, and no one could find it – until, miraculously, it cam back on its own at noon. On the phone, her brother sighed, "A-Wen, every time I ask about your grades, you change the subject. If Dad and Yuzuha won't say anything, then I will!" Everyone laughed – except Baorong, who just kept murmuring, "It came back, that's what matters... that it came back..."

Background & Lore

Ukinmai Yuzuha, a resident of Waifei Peninsula's Failume Heights, currently attends a low-tuition company affiliated school in the city. Aside from being part of the Inter-Knot subforum Spook Shack, she's not affiliated with any other groups — though in New Eridu, such forums aren't typically seen as formal organizations, and are, instead, more like hobby clubs. Yuzuha is the adopted daughter of Li Baorong, owner of the Mystic Wares Porcelume store. Word around Failume Heights is that Baorong lost his wife and two daughters when the old capital fell. In the years that followed, he took in five children. Yuzuha is the second oldest, with an older brother, a younger brother, and two younger sisters. The family lived on the second floor above the store, and with just two bedrooms, Yuzuha shared one with her sisters, while the boys stayed with Baorong. Now that her older brother has moved out and she mostly stays in the school dorm, the apartment feels a bit less crowded. But on weekends and holidays, Yuzuha usually returns from school to help her father at the store. Even as a child, Yuzuha showed a surprising level of maturity. Her eloquence and cheerful nature have made her a favorite among neighbors — and a hit with the kids around Waifei Peninsula and Sailume Bay. On the Spook Shack forum, Yuzuha goes by the username "Yuzupepper." In addition to her real-life friends Manato and Alice, she is also close with two other users known as "Night Emissary" and "Strawberry Parfait" on the forums. Increase Trust to Close to unlock more Belle When I first met Yuzuha, she seemed cheerful on the surface, but I always felt like she kept a certain distance from people... but that's not the case anymore. Wise When I saw Yuzuha's younger sister Kaede the other day, she asked me if Yuzuha had aced her exams this term. She mentioned how Yuzuha's been noticeably happier lately.

More unlocks as Trust with this character increases in-game.

How to read this build page

Every Agent build page has 4 parts: a stat table by level, W-Engine/Drive Disc suggestions, a Mindscape roadmap, and recommended teams. Read them in that order — stats tell you "what you need", gear tells you "where to get it", Mindscape tells you "is it worth pulling", teams tell you "who to pair with". The section below explains how to read each part, and it applies the same way to every character on the site.

How to read the stat table and level

The stat table shows values at the ascension breakpoints (usually the final one, e.g. Lv60) — these are BASE stats with no gear added, useful for comparing Agents or checking whether you've ascended far enough. CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG are shown separately because they set the damage ceiling once Drive Disc substats stack on top. If your real stats are lower than the table, you likely haven't fully ascended or leveled yet — it's not a build mistake.

Why the W-Engine and Drive Disc picks make sense

Most Agents have a "signature" W-Engine designed for their exact role, plus a few cheaper standard-banner substitutes. Missing the signature isn't a dead end — most Agents keep most of their power with a well-matched substitute, just short by some amount of total damage.

  • Drive Disc sets (2pc + 4pc) are picked for the set effect that fits that Agent's playstyle (mono-element, Anomaly, stun, and so on).
  • Substats follow a priority that changes by role: Attack-type Agents usually chase CRIT Rate/CRIT DMG before ATK%; Anomaly-type Agents add Anomaly Proficiency to that mix; Stun/Support roles often value survivability or energy stats over pure CRIT.

These weights differ per character — follow the exact substat priority table above rather than applying one formula to every role.

Is Mindscape worth chasing

General rule: M0 (no duplicates) already clears the game's hardest content, even for S-rank Agents. Mindscape is a duplicate-fueled upgrade system, and each level costs more resources for a smaller power gain. For most Agents, the best value stop is usually M1–M2 (where some key effects unlock), while M6 is almost always for players chasing the absolute ceiling, not a requirement. Check the Mindscape section in the table above for that specific Agent's numbers.

Skill priority by role

There's no single order for every Agent, but the general pattern by role is:

  • Attack: level the main damage skill first (Basic or Special Attack depending on kit), Dash/Dodge last.
  • Stun: prioritize whichever skill builds Daze/Stun fastest, since the stun window is where the whole team dumps damage.
  • Support: prioritize buff or energy-generating skills over personal damage — this role's value comes from lifting the whole team.
  • Anomaly: prioritize the skill that stacks anomaly buildup, since most of the damage comes from the triggered effect, not the direct hit.

Always level the Core Skill steadily alongside the rest — it's a baseline stat that affects the whole rotation, not just one move.

Where to dig deeper

This section only teaches you how to read the page — for deeper comparisons, use the dedicated tools:

  • Tier list to see where this Agent stands against the full roster.
  • Teams for full in-game comps, including Bangboo and rotation order.
  • Disc score to check how your current gear scores against the benchmark.

Yuzuha FAQ

What is the best W-Engine for Yuzuha?

Yuzuha performs best with Metanukimorphosis. See alternatives and required stats in the Gear section above.

Is Yuzuha worth pulling?

Worth investing in if you run Anomaly teams: she's currently the strongest Anomaly Support, turning any Disorder team into a damage machine. She needs ~3000 ATK and ~200 AM to unlock her full buffs, and her value is almost zero in a team that doesn't run Anomaly.

What is the best team for Yuzuha?

Yuzuha works best in the Physical Disorder Alice team. Full members and rotation are in the Teams section.

Who voices Yuzuha in Zenless Zone Zero?

Yuzuha (faction Spook Shack, birthday Nov 2nd) is voiced according to the official credits published on the HoYoverse Wiki. See the full English/Japanese/Korean/Chinese voice actor list in the "Voice Actors & Character Info" block above — this data is pulled directly from the official wiki, not guessed.

Which Mindscape of Yuzuha is worth investing in?

Yuzuha has 6 Mindscape tiers (M1-M6), each unlocking its own effect detailed in the "Mindscape" block above (official wording). Mindscapes cost Mindscape Cinema currency farmed from limited banners, so weigh it against your budget — F2P players usually stop at M0-M1 and prioritize W-Engine and Drive Discs before pushing Mindscape higher.

How much Denny and how many materials to level Yuzuha to Lv60?

Leveling Yuzuha to max Lv60 (ascension + basic skills to 12 + core skill A→F) costs roughly 1,706,000 Denny, plus role-specific ascension materials, attribute-specific skill chips, high-dimensional data, and weekly boss drops — see the full list with exact quantities in the "Materials Needed" block above, sourced from the game's official leveling tables.
