Official PC requirements (Steam listing)
Straight from Wuthering Waves' own Steam store page (app 3513350), pulled 01/08/2026:
| Minimum | Recommended | |
|---|---|---|
| OS | Windows 10 64-bit | Windows 10 64-bit |
| CPU | Intel Core i5 (9th Gen) / Ryzen 2700 | Intel Core i7 (9th Gen) / Ryzen 3700 |
| Memory | 16 GB RAM | 32 GB RAM |
| Graphics | GeForce GTX 1060 / Radeon RX 570 / Intel ARC A380 | GeForce RTX 2060 / Radeon RX 5700 XT / Intel ARC A750 |
| DirectX | Version 12 | Version 12 |
| Storage | 150 GB (HDD supported, SSD recommended) | 150 GB (SSD required) |
150 GB is the full install footprint — leave headroom beyond that for the game's own update/patch downloads.
Frame rate: why PC is capped at 60 FPS
Wuthering Waves added a 120 FPS option on PC in version 1.2, gated to systems with both a supported CPU and GPU — meeting only one of the two still capped the game at 60. Kuro Games later pulled the option after players hit glitches running at 120 FPS on PC, stating the feature would return once fixed, with no confirmed return date as of this writing.
The safe, official way to check your current frame rate cap is the in-game Settings → Graphics menu — this site does not recommend editing engine configuration files or running third-party FPS-unlock tools, since Kuro Games has not confirmed those methods are safe for your account.
First steps when the game crashes or won't launch
For a startup crash on PC, Kuro Games' own launcher FAQ points to the Repair button in the top-right corner of the launcher first — it re-verifies game files without a full reinstall and resolves most launch failures caused by a corrupted or incomplete download.
If Repair does not fix it: update your graphics driver to the latest version (a common cause of crashes right after a new patch), and confirm your PC clears the minimum requirements above — Wuthering Waves is unusually storage- and RAM-heavy for a mobile-origin title, and falling short of 16 GB RAM or the 150 GB free space is a frequent, overlooked cause of instability.
