Umbral Monument: Series Schedule, Mechanics & Teams — Arknights: Endfield
Umbral Monument is Endfield's permanent endgame mode where the same enemy roster is re-packaged into SERIES, each stage carrying its own unique buff/debuff twist. This page collects the full schedule of all 6 series released so far, breaks down the 4 stages of the newest series Howlers of the Crag (released Aug 6, 2026), and compiles a table found nowhere else: exactly what each stage restricts, in one place.
What Umbral Monument Is & Unlock Requirements
Umbral Monument unlocks once you reach Authority Level 30 and clear the main story stage Chapter I Process II: Paving the Way. It isn't a single fight — it's a SERIES system, each series made of 3 or 6 stages, and each stage is its own encounter with a buff/debuff mechanic that only applies there.

How It's Played: Difficulty, Time Limit, Team Size
Every stage has 2 difficulties: Standard (unlocked first) and Agony (unlocks after clearing Standard). In Agony, enemies are level 90 and consumable support items are banned. Each attempt has a 10-minute time limit — clear all enemies in the stage to win; team size is fixed at 4 operators. Clearing Standard grants an engraved medal; clearing Agony grants a higher-tier trimmed medal.
Mechanics of the 4 Stages in the Newest Series
| Stage | Mechanic |
|---|---|
| Visitors of Qingbo | Killing one enemy heals the rest of the pack and grants them a PERMANENT ATK & Max HP boost for the rest of the fight — kill order decides the run. |
| Earthshaking Hazefyre | The boss constantly breathes fire across a wide area and is IMMUNE TO STAGGER. Getting hit by a full Arts Burst costs extra Max HP and temporarily seals your skills. |
| Mangler and Friends | Your team does NOT regenerate SP over time. To get SP for skills, you must step on the banana-peel-like drops enemies fling out when hit. |
| King of the Crag | Combustion · Electrification · Corrosion · Solidification · Breach all become PERMANENT and noticeably stronger than usual. The boss roars on a fixed cycle, staggering the whole team. |
What Monumental Etching Is
Monumental Etching is a limited-time event that accompanies each new Umbral Monument series, usually with its own name and cosmetic rewards tied to that series. Released so far: Old Wounds (series 1) · Scorch Mark (series 2) · Corrupting Surge (series 3) · Dirge of Grief (series 4) · Beastly Howl (series 6, currently running).
Rewards & Medals
Umbral Monument pays out per stage and per difficulty (Standard/Agony), usually operator upgrade materials and currency. Exact reward quantities cannot yet be cross-checked against gamevika's own official data files — treat any specific number you see elsewhere as community-reported, not an official developer figure.
Numbers compiled by the community — the developer has not published an official reward table.
Team Suggestions for Each Mechanic
Because each stage carries a different penalty/bonus mechanic, the best team changes stage by stage rather than staying fixed. Below is a team direction gamevika worked out ourselves from the operator and build data already in our own system — not a lineup copied from any outside source.
Heat
Combustion direction: Laevatain is the main Combustion carry, Akekuri keeps the team's SP flowing, Camille builds Heat via Arts, Ember tanks hits — all four are Heat, so King of the Crag's permanent Combustion only stacks in the team's favor instead of getting diluted by other elements.
Electric
Electric direction: Zhuang Fangyi is the off-field Electric hypercarry, Perlica procs reactions automatically, Arclight layers extra Electric with her sword kit, Antal provides the Arts backbone — King of the Crag's permanent Electrification amplifies exactly the combo this group was already built around.
Cryo
Cryo → Solidification direction: Estella applies Cryo Infliction, then Alesh forcibly converts it into Solidification (exactly what her own build data describes), Tangtang stacks Arts Susceptibility through Cryo, Snowshine covers defense and healing — King of the Crag's permanent Solidification makes this loop grow stronger over time instead of fading.

Summary Table: What Each Stage Restrictsgamevika exclusive
The table below gathers every restriction across the newest series' 4 stages in one place — something no community source has compiled. Read it before you queue up so you know exactly what each stage bans, without burning an attempt on a rule you didn't see coming.
| Stage | Restriction |
|---|---|
| Visitors of Qingbo | No item ban here; the difficulty is purely tactical — picking the right kill order. |
| Earthshaking Hazefyre | Don't rely on stagger combos here; dodge the boss's Arts Burst radius completely. |
| Mangler and Friends | No natural SP regen allowed — the whole fight's rhythm depends on landing hits so enemies drop SP pickups. |
| King of the Crag | Because elemental effects persist forever, a team spread across many elements stacks debuffs on itself faster; build around 1-2 dominant elements instead. |
3 Team Directions for King of the Craggamevika exclusive
King of the Crag is series 6's hardest stage: every elemental effect becomes permanent and stronger. gamevika compiled 3 different team directions, each built around ONE dominant element (based on our own operator build data) instead of spreading across many — exactly the warning flagged in the restriction table above.
Restriction Type → Counter Strategygamevika exclusive
| What's banned | How to adjust your strategy |
|---|---|
| No Tacticals/consumables | Rely on innate skill sustain or perfect dodging, not item-based emergency heals. |
| No natural SP regen | Bring operators who generate SP through hits, not passive SP-over-time kits. |
| Stagger immune | Drop stagger-combo plans entirely — favor steady sustained damage instead. |
| Same resistance vs every element | Pick by kit/mechanics (range, recovery speed, dodge tools), not by element — element gives no edge here. |
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Umbral Monument reset weekly or seasonally?
The stages themselves don't expire — they stay permanently available after release. Only the Monumental Etching event tied to each series is time-limited.
Can I skip Standard and go straight to Agony?
No — the mechanics table shows Agony only unlocks after you clear that exact stage on Standard first.
Why do the team suggestions here differ from other sites?
gamevika derives its own team suggestions from our own operator build data instead of copying a lineup from another source — an internal rule of this site bans reproducing a competitor's exact team.
