ZZZ Banner History — Every Agent & W-Engine Banner 1.0 to 3.0 | Zenless Zone Zero
From launch (July 4, 2024) to version 3.0 (June 17, 2026), ZZZ has run 18 banner versions (2.9 was skipped). Each version typically introduces 2 new S-Rank Agents on the Exclusive Channel across two phases, each paired with a signature W-Engine on the W-Engine Channel. The table below lists every version — the debut Agents, the reruns, and release dates — cross-checked against community trackers.
How ZZZ banners work: the 4 Signal Search channels
ZZZ's gacha is called Signal Search, split into four channels:
- Exclusive Channel — the limited character banner where new S-Rank Agents debut (90 hard pity; the 50/50 system means your first S-Rank has a 50% chance to be the featured Agent — lose it to a standard Agent and your next S-Rank is guaranteed to be the featured one).
- W-Engine Channel — the signature weapon banner that runs alongside the character banner (80 pity, 75% featured rate).
- Stable Channel (Star-Studded Cast) — the permanent standard banner that doesn't change per version.
- Bangboo Channel — the permanent Bangboo companion banner.
Each version lasts about 6 weeks and usually splits into two phases (Phase 1 and Phase 2). "Banner history" is the record of what ran on the two limited channels across every version. To check whether your pity carries over when a banner changes, see our ZZZ pity guide.

All start dates in the table (including 2.1–2.4) are cross-checked against community trackers and each version's official release date. The reruns column is split by phase: P1 = the version's first half, P2 = the second half. Dates follow server time (UTC+8) and may be one day off in the Americas/Europe. Version 2.9 was skipped, jumping straight from 2.8 to 3.0.
The pattern: 2 new Agents per version, reruns on a rhythm
Reading the whole table, a few steady patterns help you predict:
- Each version usually adds 2 new S-Rank Agents, one per phase (the exception is 1.4, which packed both Miyabi and Harumasa into the Frost-launch version).
- Reruns tend to arrive 4–8 versions after debut. For example Ellen (1.0) reran in 1.5; Yixuan (2.0) reran in 2.6; Lucia (2.3) reran in 2.8.
- Each phase usually pairs 1 new Agent with 1 rerun in later versions, giving returning players a chance to catch up on missed Agents.
- Every Agent always comes with a signature W-Engine running in parallel on the W-Engine Channel, in the same phase as the Agent (e.g. Ellen ↔ Deep Sea Visitor, Zhu Yuan ↔ Riot Suppressor Mark VI, Nangong Yu ↔ Neon Fantasies). Each Agent's signature W-Engine name is listed on their character page.
Because pity and 50/50 status don't reset when the banner changes, you can use this history to time and save resources for exactly the Agent you want.
Skipping 2.9, jumping to 3.0: a new ZZZ chapter
One quirk in the banner history: ZZZ has no version 2.9 — after 2.8 (May 6, 2026), the game jumped straight to 3.0 (June 17, 2026), opening a major new story chapter. Version 3.0 introduces Velina — the game's first-ever Wind-type Agent, debuting an entirely new element — in Phase 1 and Norma in Phase 2, alongside the Ye Shunguang (P1) and Sunna (P2) reruns.
Skipping a version number (as some other HoYoverse titles have done) usually signals a big update to the map, systems, and a new element. If you're returning after a break, this is a good milestone to re-check your resources and pity before pulling.
Using banner history to plan your pulls
Banner history isn't just a reference — it's a planning tool:
- Has the Agent you missed reran yet? If they debuted recently, expect to wait 4–8 versions for a rerun, so start saving.
- Check your pity before pulling. Use our ZZZ pity tool to see what pull you're on and whether you're owing a 50/50 guarantee.
- Look up an account by UID. Use the UID lookup to see the Agents and teams you already own so you don't double-pull.
- After landing a new Agent, optimize their gear. Use the Drive Disc scorer to see which discs are worth keeping.
Combine the history table with these tools and you'll know exactly when to pool your Polychrome and when to wait.

About the accuracy of this data
HoYoverse doesn't publish a single official "banner history" summary page; the data in this table is cross-checked from multiple community trackers (Game8, Prydwen, LootBar, banner databases) plus official per-version release dates. Start dates for all versions 1.0–3.0, including 2.1–2.4, have been cross-checked against these trackers. Dates in the table follow server time (UTC+8) and may be one day off in the Americas/Europe. Each Agent's signature W-Engine name lives on their character page rather than in this table. If you spot an error, use the feedback button so we can update it.
