What Is an Event in Genshin Impact: Categories, Permanent Content & What You Lose for Good

Genshin Impact events aren't one uniform thing — they usually fall into a few types:

• Story events: come with a voiced quest chain, usually a big Primogem/item reward, tied to a newly released character.
• Minigame events: repeatable combat/puzzle challenges (e.g. a discounted boss rush, a point-collecting minigame), smaller rewards but quick to clear.
