"Flower-Feather Clan"Flower-Feather Clan's SettlementAt the top of the Quahuacan Cliff, where strong mountain winds blow, lies the settlement of the Flower-Feather Clan. Almost the entire tribe is built on a complex network of platforms, ladders, and walkways to accommodate the unique demands of the terrain. The tribe uses very lightweight wooden ladders and installs hot air balloons beneath the platforms to reduce maintenance costs. If balloons are seen as the wings that lift the Flower-Feather Clan into the skies, then these wooden platforms might be considered the "giant claws" that anchor the tribe to the mountains. As one of the proudest tribes in Natlan, the members of the Flower-Feather Clan tend to compete fiercely in various contests to showcase their excellence, and the tribe has certain restrictions on house decoration and renovation. In such unique environments as the Quahuacan Cliff, excessive modifications and decorations can pose a threat to the safety of both the buildings and the entire platform, with potentially disastrous consequences. Therefore, the Flower-Feather Clan restricts decorations to those that do not alter the structural integrity or form of the buildings. There are plenty of cliffside murals near the Flower-Feather Clan, but not many flat, open areas large enough for a giant work of land art.The settlement's main landmark is the Flower-Feather Clan's Obsidian Totem Pole, a legendary artifact said to "be linked to the tribe's Wayob, and can listen to the wishes of the people." People believe that as long as the pole stands, the tribe continues to soar. Currently, this Obsidian Totem Pole is under the care of Abundi, from whom people can accept monster bounties, supply orders, and other relevant tasks to elevate their reputation within the Flower-Feather Clan. The tribe's second most important location is the flight trial grounds, where the fate of many flying squad members and squad candidates is decided. When the tribe was responsible for patrolling and defending all of Natlan, the flying squad was the best of the best — the fiercest warriors in the nation. Anyone wishing to become a rider must train tirelessly and then earn the approval of the Qucusaurs. To join the elite squad, a special flying test is held, during which candidates must demonstrate mastery of the relevant skills and earn the favor of the Qucusaurs. Until recently, the flying squad captain was Elder Allpa, now imprisoned in a sky prison, and the current tribe chief, Mutota, was once an ace pilot. Mutota doesn't try to be a strict leader, but the Flower-Feather Clan has certain rules of conduct and caution when interacting with the most arrogant Saurians in Natlan.Only a few are selected for the elite flying squad, and sometimes, after several failed attempts to pass the flying test and gain the Qucusaurs's approval, they become so disillusioned that they abandon their dream of the sky. They decide to give up trying forever, and within the clan, such individuals are known as "wingless." Some wingless continue to dream of flight and spend their days looking at the Cinder City, while others resign themselves to their fate and find new pursuits. Two wingless ones organized the "Target Balloon" and "Eyes on the Feathered Prize" challenges, where anyone, even without a flying license, can participate and earn rewards. The Flower-Feather Clan settlement houses the clinic of Natlan's best Sauro-Vet, Ifa. It can be found by a colorful sign painted by Ifa's best friend, Ororon. Along with his assistant, Cacucu, Ifa sees patients from all over Natlan. Besides the clinic, the settlement also features two certified Genius Invokation TCG players, Utsil and Mukki. Utsil is the tribe's guardian and collects all the Saurian cards and the Saurian blessing. His mentor, Akat from Frida's Palette, drew him a deck of Saurian cards. Mukki is a member of the flying squad and crafts Saurian whistles, instruments used to aid in communication between Saurians and humans. While traveling along the Quahuacan Cliff, the Traveler, Paimon, and their Saurian companion, Little One, encountered a strange, childlike man south of the Flower-Feather Clan settlement. He introduced himself as a former Marechausse Phantom detective from Fontaine named Magnifico de la Magnificans. After retiring, Magnifico decided to become a photographer and capture the life force in people and objects, and so he came to Natlan, the land of the most shocking elemental lifeforms. When he first met the Traveler and Paimon, he had been without water for several days and was exhausted from thirst, so they saved his life by giving him a drink. Their second encounter took place in the settlement of the Masters of the Night-Wind, where he asked for photographs of an Iktomisaurus from a specific angle and with the right lighting. Their third encounter occurred south of the cliff, where Magnifico wanted to photograph a Qucusaurus diving toward the surface of the waterfall. Although he hid food that might attract the Qucusaurs in the pool below the waterfall, the Saurians never flew at the angle he wanted. Thanks to the help of the Traveler, who had indwelled in a Qucusaurus, the former detective was able to take the most captivating shot. The final photograph Magnifico wanted was of the Tepetlisaurs northwest of the Flower-Feather Clan settlement. As they were framing the shot, the Tepetlisaurus companion of the Traveler and Paimon suddenly noticed something. Following him, the Traveler saw a Sumpter Beast in a cage and the hunters who had captured it. When the little Sumpter Beast was rescued and befriended Little One, Magnifico chose a shot of their interaction for his photograph. Since it was dangerous for the animal to walk alone, and the photographer needed to carry some things, Magnifico took the Sumpter Beast with him.East of the Flower-Feather Clan, the Traveler, Paimon, and Little One encountered a woman and a Qucusaurus attacking her. The Traveler rushed to her aid and drove off the Saurian, but it turned out to be attacking for medical treatment. The woman, who introduced herself as Mazkal, a Sauro-Vet, asked Little One to give the Qucusaurus some medicine, as it was unwilling to accept treatment from a human. She prepared two types of medicine to choose from: one more beneficial but not very tasty, and the other, pleasant-tasting but less effective. Thanks to Little One's help, the Saurian received treatment, and the Traveler and Paimon returned it to Mazkal.North of the encounter with Mazkal, an Obsidian Totem leading to the Night Kingdom can be found. There, the soul of Ironbeard, a powerful warrior from the clifftops, whose bravery has been acknowledged and for which they may wear the Saurian Crown, can be dueled. For these tribal warriors, armed as they are with heavy hammers, flames are something that burst forth from violent collisions, symbols of intense passion. When they do battle, the fight usually ends within an instant, and they are always the ones who stand victorious. While exploring the southern part of Quahuacan Cliff, the Traveler and Paimon discovered a young man named Acomitl locked in a cellar and surrounded by smugglers. Although the Traveler came to his aid and defeated the smugglers, Acomitl refused to leave the cellar. After finding out from nearby Qucusaurs how to get to the young man, the Traveler discovered that he had locked himself in the basement. He had recently passed his riding exam and become a full member of the flying squad. While in reserve, he dreamed of becoming a full member of the flying squad and trained tirelessly to be as good as the others. After days and nights of constant training, the fear of making the slightest mistake, and constant doubts, Acomitl couldn't talk to his parents and sister, his appetite and sleep had vanished, and his character had deteriorated. And when he finally became a full member of the squad, he had to constantly chase the commander, like a firefly, rising up into the sky for the very first time, being told that it had to catch up with a sparrow, and then once it did, that its next target was a shooting star. So he decided to vent his anger by telling the Saurian traders to take all the Qucusaurs, not thinking they would actually do that. He hid in the basement and found himself trapped, and when the Traveler rescued him, he asked him to come up with a good reason to quit the flying squad, as he lacked the courage to do so. To help the young man, the Traveler took part in the trials at the training ground built for Acomitl by his relatives and broke his record. But even despite the broken record, the squad leader refused to let the young man go. After meeting with his father, a flight trainer, and his sister and brother, Acomitl finally decided to quit the squad on his own, and his family supported him.The World Quests,,,,, and can be found near the settlement.Related Entries:Cliff CoastOn the beach where Traveler and Paimon freed the Sumpter Beast from its cage, there was an incomplete graffiti. To complete it, nine Monetoos should be found. Three of them can be found after playing the game "Bing Bong Ding Dong." Participants sit on the Saurian statue's back to make it move forward. If they don't dismount before the Bing Bong Monetoo counts down to a "ding!", they lose, and the first one to run to the Bing Bong Monetoo wins. Three other Monetoos can be obtained after playing tic-tac-toe with them in the sand using the Iktomisaurus's abilities. The last three Monetoo can be retrieved after playing a game with them and placing a red object into the jar.Along the coast, near the cliff, the Masters of the Night-Winds' trainee priestess, Conulaf, can be encountered in three different locations. Her training was nearing completion, so, according to her, the tribe's elders told her that ancestral treasures were scattered throughout Natlan: "Go do some treasure-hunting, Conulaf!" Under the guise of training, they escorted Conulaf out of the tribe, and she set out to find them. One time, she heard that if she followed an animal's trail, she would find treasure. She followed a Sumpter Beast to camp, but the people mistook her for a thief and locked her in a cart. Another time, the tribe's elders told her that her ancestor, Sanhaj, often bet against people from other tribes and cheated them: "Go make and win some bets! That's the only way to qualify as a true Master of the Night-Wind!" Conulaf saw a Saurian competition and bet on an Iktomisaurus, but it lost, and she was locked in a cage. The elders offered her a third trip to see the world, but she was captured and locked away by hilichurls. At the northern end of the Quahuacan Cliff beach is a dock serving ships to Nod-Krai. This dock was built under the direction of the Pyro Archon after an incident involving a former Fatui agent, Zhuoxin, who had once worked for the Fatui Harbinger Sandrone. He was forced to lead a robot named Ineffa to the ruins of the ancient dragons located beneath the cliff. These ruins once belonged to the foster mother of the Flower-Feather Clan's founder and a Dragonlord, Priestess of Floral Candles and Skyborne Feathers. Within Ineffa was the core of another Sovereign Ruler, the Eleventh Lord Mirror of the Dawning Morn, a part of whose consciousness was imprisoned in the Eighth Lord's territories. It was this core that Sandrone desired. After the Fatui were eliminated, Zhuoxin, along with his wife and daughter, remained in Natlan to help fellow Nod-Krai refugees like himself.North of the Quahuacan Cliff lies a small island where the Qucusaurus family of the Flower-Feather Clan heroine, Chasca, lived. When Chasca was abandoned by her parents, the Qucusaurus Chimpu became her mother, and Coya became her older sister. Although the girl lacked a beak and claws, she initially considered herself a Saurian. When Chasca began living with humans, Coya suggested that she leave them and come live with her. Chasca could neither agree nor refuse, and her sister viewed this as a betrayal and did not communicate with Chasca for a long time.In the westernmost part of the area is an Obsidian Totem challenge in the Night Kingdom, where warriors can fight a Wayob Manifestation, "Tupayo's Aid." The Flower-Feather Clan believes in and worships the Wayob, which manifests upon the land with the power of totems and Nightsouls. They say that long ago, Wayob Manifestations looked very different from how they do today, taking on a rougher form that was more akin to that of an obsidian statue. But once their outline had been recorded in woven scrolls, there have been few changes in their appearance since. The people of the Flower-Feather Clan believe their Wayob has the power to control fire and burning flames, and can also control the flow of heat and blazing winds.Related Entries:Malinalco GrottoMalinalco Grotto lies beneath the Quahuacan Cliff. In the cave's left branch lies the Tenebrous Papilla, a plant-like, parasitic Abyssal monstrosity that has descended from a deep, dark, unfathomable, contorted otherworld. These twisted monstrosities are capable of harnessing the Abyssal powers and infiltrating deep down into the bowels of the earth, extracting memories to imitate and manipulate. Through this process of distorting the past's memories into more abstruse and sordid forms, they gradually draw closer to Irminsul's core, threatening to undermine its very existence. If left unchecked, they will continue Teyvat's decay, perhaps finding a way to twist and reshape even the most ancient memories. Such a hypothesis seems to be confirmed by the branches they extend outward, as if to pierce the void itself. In the right branch of the grotto grow fruits from which the ancestors of the Masters of the Night-Wind have long produced dyes for woven scrolls. They chose the cave as a location for the graffiti, but did not want to show the unfinished work, so they sealed the cave. And even when the work was completed, the seal was not removed. Since the Malinalco Grotto was closed, the only person who could enter was the great shaman Huitzilin two hundred years ago. To open the cave, one must have the perception of a special color, which is actually the color of memory. The graffiti in the cave depicts the story of the hero Kuntur, who pursued the evil sorcerer Rumi. After coloring the fruits in the graffiti the right colors, the wall will open, revealing a passageway ending in a scene of Kuntur chasing the sorcerer. In the story, the tribe's warriors fell under Rumi's influence and stood in the hero's way, and only by defeating them can one proceed further. Using the Iktomisaurus's powers, images of warriors can be summoned, and defeating them opens a passage to the lower part of the grotto. Using the magical powers of the Monetoo and graffiti, Kuntur can be aided to catch the evil sorcerer.

Lore

The Abyss InvasionDue to damage to the Natlan's Ley Lines and the contamination of the Night Kingdom, the Abyss was not driven out of Natlan during the Cataclysm. For five hundred years, it grew in power by attacking the tribes. At first, the attacks seemed random, and the Abyss appeared to be a natural phenomenon, but it later turned out that the attacks occurred at the tribes' vulnerable points. Using memories stored in Natlan's Night Kingdom, the Abyss studied all the tribes' weaknesses, as if possessing a consciousness. And five hundred years after the Cataclysm, it launched a full-scale invasion of all the tribes of Natlan simultaneously. The Fatui, under the command of Capitano, formed an alliance with the Pyro Archon and joined forces to combat the Abyss. The Pyro Archon Mavuika had already witnessed a battle of similar magnitude five hundred years ago, during the Cataclysm. Although the Natlanese at that time had managed to drive the Abyss into the depths of the Night Kingdom, they knew it would eventually erupt again. Their calculations estimated that they would have a maximum of five hundred years before the Night Kingdom was completely lost to the Abyss, but as it was, Natlan lay in ruins, and the civilization was dying. It was necessary to unite the tribes, otherwise, it would be impossible to dream of a final victory. So, the Archon had a long and involved discussion with the heroes of each tribe and finally came up with a five-hundred-year-long plan to save Natlan. During this time, the Archons and chiefs were to rebuild the tribes, and when the time came, the Wayob would again choose six heroes of Natlan with the Ancient Names of Xbalanque's companions. Mavuika entered the Sacred Flame to be reborn five hundred years later.Five hundred years later, when Mavuika's plan needed only one hero recognized by their Ancient Name, the Abyss attacked across Natlan. With the Pyro Archon deprived of the power of the Sacred Flame to counterattack, this was the Abyss's best opportunity. Despite the Flower-Feather Clan's warriors' resistance, Quahuacan Cliff was soon tainted by the Abyss. When the Traveler and Paimon were about to go to the aid of the Flower-Feather Clan, they encountered the tribe's peacekeeper, Chasca, and her sister, the doctor, Chuychu, surrounded by monsters near the Stadium of the Sacred Flame. Although the attack was repelled, Chuychu was gravely wounded. Even when the Traveler cleansed her body of the Abyss, it was too late. The loss of her sister awakened the Abyssal energy within Chasca, dormant since her childhood injury, but she was able to bend it to her will. The pain Chasca felt at the loss of Chuychu awakened her Ancient Name, and her ancestor, Menilek, who bore the same Ancient Name five hundred years ago, recognized her as the sixth and final hero of Natlan.Returning with Chuychu to the Stadium of the Sacred Flame, Chasca asked for care for her sister's body and went to the Pyro Archon to fulfill Chuychu's hopes and sacrifice. Once all six heroes necessary for Mavuika's plan had been recognized by their Ancient Names, she used their power and the divine throne to banish the Abyss. This power helped destroy the previously invulnerable Abyss Tumors, and the Ode of Resurrection allowed the resurrection of all Natlanese who had perished after using this power. Mavuika was able to attack Gosoythoth, forcing it to flee into the Night Kingdom. But even after the war with the Abyss was over, many could not recover from the event. The Traveler, Paimon, and one of the six heroes of Natlan, Iansan of the Collective of Plenty, aided in the Flower-Feather Clan reconstruction. When they arrived at the settlement, they found out that some warriors of the tribe were struck by sudden and powerful Abyssal energy, damaging not only their bodies but also their minds. This mental suffering was linked to repressed fears and anxieties. One of the warriors, Atoco, believed he was in cold water while the Abyss was catching up with him, calling for his Saurian companion, who had died four years earlier during an Abyss attack. To help the victim, Iansan lit a fire for him, and the Traveler indwelled in a Qucusaurus resembling the warrior's companion. Realizing it wasn't his companion, the warrior awoke from his hallucinations.Another victim, Cochitta, was about twelve years old when her parents were killed by Abyss monsters before her eyes, leaving her and her younger brother alone. Afterward, Cochitta trained diligently, but was too weak to fight. Until one day, the monsters burst into her and her brother's home. When guards arrived, they found Cochitta standing with a weapon in her trembling hands, her brother hiding behind her. The defeated monster lay at her feet, but she didn't even look at it, and just kept repeating the same thing over and over — "you're the only family I have left. I won't let anything happen to you." And from then on, she changed dramatically. She began participating in all the battles against the Abyss and gradually earned a reputation as a brave warrior. Everyone in the tribe thought she had finally overcome her fear, but Cochitta had only buried it deeper, and a powerful blast of Abyssal energy unleashed it once again. To help the warrior, Iansan and the Traveler went with her to fight the Abyssal monsters, and she awoke from her hallucinations, realizing the Abyss wasn't so terrifying. The third victim, the warrior Ocotlan, believed the tribesmen around him were monsters of the Abyss, and even saw his father as nothing more than a monster. Ocotlan was a brave and determined warrior, ready to fight to the last, and so he could not be shaken from his hallucinations. The warrior was aided by the Fatui Harbinger Capitano, who had witnessed similar symptoms during the Cataclysm 500 years earlier. People experienced emotional instability, lack of energy, or mental deterioration. This disease, known as the Abyssal Corrosion Syndrome, could cause hallucinations or mental breakdowns, making those infected extremely dangerous to themselves and those around them. A military physician from Khaenri'ah, Guthred, created a cure called the Draught of Lucidity, a kind of medicine that can dispel the psychological impact of the Abyss. To speed up the development of the cure, Guthred experimented on himself and died shortly after inventing the elixir. The treatment had serious side effects, such as lifelong migraines, so it was only used in the most extreme cases. The Traveler and Iansan fought with Ocotlan in order to force him to take the medicine during the battle. Thanks to the elixir, Ocotlan awoke from his hallucinations and was able to recognize his father.Related Entries:Phlogiston WingsWhen warriors of the Flower-Feather Clan fail the flying trials to join the elite flying squad and gain the approval of the Qucusaurs for a long time, they become "wingless." Some wingless accept their fate and find a new calling, while others spend their entire lives trying to return to the sky. During a battle with the Abyss several decades ago, the tribe's elder and captain of the flying squad, Allpa, was wounded. Afterward, she was unable to return to the sky and began wandering Natlan. During this time, she gave birth to a child, Tepal, who gave her new hope. She wanted to be a mother who soared the skies day and night, not a wingless wanderer. But his father wanted to settle down and give the child a safe life in the tribe, so their feelings gradually faded. Tepal's father started a new family in the Children of Echoes tribe and took Tepal for himself, and Allpa returned to the Flower-Feather Clan alone. The elder hadn't seen her son for many years, but one day he appeared on her doorstep, eager to take the flying test. But when the Qucusaurs rejected him, Allpa felt hurt and angry. Together, they created "phlogiston wings," a flying machine worn on the back. It can be operated using a hand-held trackball, which in turn controls the flow of gaseous phlogiston. Using mechanisms from Ochkanatlan, Tepal built a massive flying laboratory hidden in the clouds. During research, it was discovered that wild Qucusaurs, who possessed the natural ability to process gaseous phlogiston, could be used to create the hand-held trackballs. Tepal didn't want to use the Saurians, but during one of the experiments, unstable gaseous phlogiston exploded, killing a man.Allpa, wanting to fulfill her son's dream of a sky accessible to all, abandoned all experiments and began using the Qucusaurs. One of the kidnapped Saurians was the tribal heroine Chasca's niece, Chime. When her mother, Coya, began attacking people, wanting her daughter back, Allpa ordered her capture as well. Coya's attack played into the elder's hands, as it allowed her to demonstrate the danger of the Qucusaurs and convince other tribe members to abandon their interactions with them. Furthermore, she allowed the use of phlogiston wings in flying tests, so that even those who had become wingless could join the squad. Allpa believed that this was the only way the tribe could develop further, and was even prepared to seize the tribe and kill the chieftain and other elders. After the Traveler, Paimon, and Chasca's intervention, Allpa was stopped, and all the Qucusaurs in the lab were saved. During a confrontation with the elder, the unstable mechanism from Ochkanatlan was about to explode, but was transported away from the tribe in time, saving the clan's settlement from the lab's fall. Many tribe members sided with Mutota and the Qucusaurs, so the rebellion within the Flower-Feather Clan failed. The sky lab was dismantled and converted into a sky prison, where Allpa and her supporters were imprisoned.Related Entries:Pakpaka Flying SchoolOne day, at the Pakpaka Flying School training grounds, the Traveler, Paimon, and their Tepetlisaurus companion, Little One, met a boy named Taruka and his Qucusaurus companion, Oberon. The boy believed that the school's trainer, Lamizana, was acting suspiciously and secretively. Furthermore, he constantly tried to communicate with Taruka's sister. Although Lamizana was supposed to be organizing the air races, he delegated this responsibility to his assistant, Paran. Taruka also overheard a conversation in which Lamizana and a second man discussed payment for something. He asked the Traveler and Paimon to follow the trainer, and although they were skeptical of the seriousness of the situation, they agreed. Heading west of the cliff, they discovered a camp guarded by Iktomisaurs and tribal warriors. Infiltrating the camp, they overheard a conversation about some goods that needed to be delivered to the air race. As Paimon, Little One, and the Traveler, who indwelled in an Iktomisaurus, were about to leave, they were discovered by a woman named Quilla, who called to the Iktomisaurus to follow her. Someone spilled a box of Saurus Crackers outside, and the Traveler and Little One took advantage of the opportunity to escape. When they returned to Taruka to tell her what they had seen, Paran approached them with his white dog and asked them to participate in the race, as another participant had declined. The Traveler agreed, and Paimon thought his voice sounded familiar. When the day of the air race arrived, the Traveler won, but Taruka and Oberon were missing from the finish line, so Paimon and the Traveler set out to find them. During their search, they encountered Lamizana, who was suddenly attacked by Iktomisaurs. After the Traveler helped repel the attack, he revealed that Oberon and Taruka had been kidnapped. It turned out that Lamizana planned to rig the race so that he and Taruka would compete on a different course but with the same finish line, in order to finish early. When Taruka's sister finished, she would witness the boy being attacked by young Saurians. At that moment, Lamizana would arrive and rescue Taruka, earning the boy's sister's approval. But the plan got out of hand, and the Saurians, gorging on the Saurus Crackers they were selling, not only attacked Taruka but kidnapped him. Quilla accused "a blond person and their white pet," whose description matched both the Traveler and Paimon, as well as Paran and his dog, of the kidnapping. To prove their innocence, the Traveler, Little One, and Paimon escaped to search for Taruka. After indwelling in an Iktomusaurus again, the Traveler smelled a delicious aroma and discovered a Saurus Cracker with a letter implicating Quilla in selling the strange crackers. When they infiltrated the camp, Taruka fled, leaving Oberon, who had gorged himself on Saurus Crackers. Taking the Qucusaurus with them, the Traveler, Little One, and Paimon prepared to leave the camp, but were stopped by Quilla and her Iktomisaurus. During the Saurian battle, Little One and Oberon defeated the Iktomisaurus, and Quilla escaped. By the time they returned to the flight school, Taruka had returned and revealed the truth about what had happened.Related Entries:Legend of KunturAccording to legend, long, long ago, a bright star, where Qoyllor lived, shone in the sky. Her father, the Sun, bestowed upon her power, which he commanded her to cherish. Just as people on the ground gaze up in awe at the starry sky, she often looked down upon the life of the tribes in Natlan. One day, she leaned too far forward and accidentally fell from the sky. Falling to the ground, the star lost its former brilliance, and her power shattered into fragments that were scattered across the land. Without it, Qoyllor could no longer return to the sky. For a long time, Qoyllor wandered Natlan in search of the fragments of her star, facing many dangers, but all her searches were in vain. One day, by utter chance, she encountered the fierce warrior and hunter, Ukuku. Upon learning of her plight, he agreed to help her search for the scattered shards of her star so she could return. Together, they set off on their roamings: they climbed high mountains and ventured into deep ravines, overcoming hordes of enemies and making scores of friends. Gradually, Qoyllor adapted to life on the ground and became a true Natlanese. After years of fruitless searching, Qoyllor decided that, in the same way that she had become a part of the tribe, her lost power had long since been found. She asked Ukuku if he had grown tired of chasing such an elusive goal, but the only answer he gave was a short "Sorry." She didn't understand why the hunter was apologizing, as he had always been kind to her, and from the very beginning of their search, they had found no clue about the lost power. Qoyllor and Ukuku were to form a family together, settling down in a corner of the tribe, and had a child named Kuntur. Ukuku's cunning neighbor, from time to time, began speaking badly of Ukuku in front of Qoyllor, embellishing his stories with malicious barbs. At first, Qoyllor paid no attention to this gossip, but over time, doubts began to creep into her heart. She didn't want to make a big deal out of nothing, so she tried to uncover the truth through playful remarks. Under the pressure of her questioning, Ukuku soon confessed that, in fact, he long ago found some star shards. But by that time, Ukuku had already developed feelings for her, so he decided not to give up the shards, to keep her on the ground. After hearing Ukuku's confession, Qoyllor felt sadness and anger. Realizing she could never forgive Ukuku, Qoyllor demanded the star shards back, but he refused. Ignoring his pleas, Qoyllor left the tribe she had once considered home with Ukuku's Iktomisaurus companion and set out to wander again. She left a huge work of graffiti on the vast expanse of land so that her Sun-father could see it from the sky. Qoyllor's father heard her plea, quickly bringing her back to the sky. Ukuku's deceit and betrayal angered the Sun, and as punishment, he was blinded by the Sun's golden arrows. From then on, wherever he went, the Sun would retreat behind the clouds, leaving him without a trace of sunlight. After Qoyllor had returned to the skies, Ukuku, blinded by the sun's golden arrows, remained within the tribe, raising the still-young Kuntur alone. Wherever Kuntur appeared, the sun would retreat behind a thick layer of clouds, depriving the world of its light. Although the people did not banish them from the tribe, they avoided the father and son, fearing the sun's wrath. Kuntur grew up a pale youth with eyes like stars. He longed for an Iktomisaurus companion, but no one wanted to live without sunlight. And although he was unable to find a companion for a long time, he would not tolerate ridicule and responded by fighting. At first, he always lost due to his weakness, but over time, he became stronger and more capable. One day, an old man in ragged clothing came to the tribe, asking for water. The people took pity on him and invited him into their home, feeding him dinner, but the old man ate for a whole week and was never satiated. So the old man began visiting every house that would feed him, but sooner or later, they would send him away. Only Kuntur's house did not entertain the old man. Seeing how Kuntur chased the old man away, many in the tribe could not help but ridicule him again, but no one guessed that the old man in tattered clothes was the infamous sorcerer Rumi in disguise. He cast an evil spell on the people who had let him in but failed to satisfy his appetites, and led away all the tribe's Saurians. The tribe sent forth their three mightiest warriors to bring the Saurians back, but none of them returned. When the tribe had already given up hope of bringing them back, Kuntur volunteered to go after them.Rumi knew that Kuntur was hated by the sun, so he summoned up layers of mist to surround the warrior. However, the young man had been trained by his blind father since childhood, and so he could find his way by sound and smell. Rumi then sent three talking Pakpakas, three tribal warriors transformed by an evil sorcerer. They spoke the very deceptions Rumi had snared them with, but Kuntur had hated lies since childhood and could always see through them at a glance. After enduring all the trials, Kuntur finally found Rumi and saw the captured Saurians. The sorcerer tried to frighten the youth, but neither towering waves nor running lava could scare him. Rumi then cast an evil spell on the captured Saurians, then turned into a cloud of smoke and disappeared. Kuntur freed the Iktomisaurs and found the bravest of them. The youth wanted to go after the sorcerer with the Iktomisaurus, but it refused. Realizing that otherwise he would be no different from Rumi, Kuntur released the Saurian and set out alone.Kuntur tracked the magician Rumi for a long time, battling the animals he could transform into, but he was no closer to his goal. One day, he heard a familiar cry of an Iktomisaurus he had freed. Kuntur had earned his respect, so the Iktomisaurus began to show him the way, and even the wily sorcerer could not escape. Rumi transformed into a capybara and dove into the water, but the Iktomisaurus summoned a cyclone with its wings, and Kuntur, riding the wind, raced after the sorcerer. Shocked, Rumi leapt out of the water, transforming into a bird that immediately made for the skies above, but Kuntur mounted the Iktomisaurus and pursued it, eventually catching up with the sorcerer. Seeing that there was nowhere to run, Rumi turned into a cobblestone, but Kuntur clung to the cobblestone with a death grip: "Fly! Higher, my friend, higher!" They soared higher and higher until they reached the highest cloud layer, where Kuntur saw the sun for the first time. But before he could speak, the sun brought forth cloud layers, surrounding them in a thick shroud. Kuntur and his companion had no choice but to navigate through the thunder, rain, and storm. It was so cold up there that even Kuntur's eyelids were swathed in frost, and the rock that Rumi had transformed into was frozen solid.Having overcome trial after trial, Kuntur and his companion returned to the tribe, and the stone that Rumi had turned into was placed in a suitable location. The three warriors who had been turned into Pakpakas by the sorcerer were themselves restored to human form. They continued to avoid Kuntur out of shame and regret, as they had tried to deceive him. Thus did Kuntur prove himself to his tribe and win glory. But most importantly, he now had an Iktomisaurus companion of his own.Related Entries:Eleventh LordSeveral thousand years ago, the future of Natlan was ruled by the Pyro Sovereign and the thirteen Sovereign Rulers he created using Secret Source technology. They were forms of artificial intelligence whose power surpassed even the most ancient dragons. Two thousand years ago, almost all of them were destroyed during the war with the first Pyro Archon Xbalanque and the first heroes. The Eleventh Sovereign Ruler, was the proudest of all the Sovereign Rulers and the most hostile toward humanity. She survived the war, but lost her refuge. Her pride in belonging to the dragonkind vanished, and the territory once under her dominion disappeared without hope of return. She was tormented by the question: should she strike back at humanity and take revenge, or should she seek a new home? Unable to find an answer, the Eleventh Lord's mind split into two: one, the Sovereign Ruler, sworn to avenge humanity, and the other, the malfunction, eager to find a new home. These personalities separated completely, acquiring separate physical entities. Mirror of the Dawning Morn sought control of the machines in the Eighth Lord, Priestess of Floral Candles and Skyborne Feathers' territory, located beneath the Quahuacan Cliff, and to do so, she needed to destroy the "malfunction" and acquire its core. She attempted to deceive the Natlan heroines, Ixquieh and Lianca, posing as the other personality and convincing them that the "malfunction" was a threat, but they saw through the deception. Lianca exploited her arrogance and turned her plan against her, using the full power of the territory to imprison her within the Xibalba prison created by the Eighth Lord. Mirror of the Dawning Morn placed a curse on the malfunction so that it could never find a home."If she truly harbors pro-human sentiment... then for every ounce of goodwill she feels, may her mind be flooded with pain of immeasurable proportions."The First Speaker of the Flower-Feather Clan, Lianca, did not want the "malfunction" to fall under the influence of the Eleventh Lord and also wanted to protect it from the ruler of the Grand Alliance, Och-Kan, who had become a tyrant and wanted to destroy all descendants of dragons. Lianca had no intention of fighting him, as they owed each other more than their lives, but her clan would never bend the knee to anyone. Ixquieh implanted the Moon Wheel, an ancient artifact through which the Three Moon Goddesses communicated with their followers and which her mother had left to Lianca, into the "malfunction." The First Speaker then sent it on a journey to find a new home. Lianca altered the malfunction's memory settings to erase its memories and protect it from the curse of Mirror of the Dawning Morn. To prevent the Eleventh Lord from escaping Xibalba, the First Speaker strengthened the prison and sealed off her mother's territory. For two thousand years, Mirror of the Dawning Morn remained a prisoner within the territory of the Priestess of Floral Candles and Skyborne Feathers, gradually seizing control of systems and processes until its influence permeated every inch of this prison. The final step to freeing herself was to destroy the core within the "malfunction." After two millennia of wandering, the malfunction finally found a family when the genius Aino transformed its core into a robot named Ineffa. But the curse of the Eleventh Lord persisted, and Ineffa continued to feel pain, thinking about home. To find her home, she traveled to Natlan, where the Eleventh Lord tricked her into the underground ruins, posing as the Eighth Lord. She explained that Ineffa needed to be rebuilt from scratch using the Secret Source mechanisms located within the Eighth Lord's territory to truly sever the connection between the personalities and break the curse's power. But when Mirror of the Dawning Morn gained control of Ineffa's body and destroyed her core, she was able to break the curse with the Moon Wheel and regain control of her body, defeating the Eleventh Overlord.
