Chaos Zero Nightmare (CZN) is a cosmic-loop RPG developed by SuperCreative and published by SmileGate, built around card-based combat, a gacha roster of Combatants, and repeatable roguelike runs called Chaos.

Combat: Attribute, Class and cards

Every Combatant carries one of five Attributes (Passion, Void, Instinct, Order, Justice) and one of six Classes, filterable in the Combatants list. Battles are turn-based and card-driven: you play cards with a Damage, Shield or Heal effect (and dozens of more specific effects and tags) from a deck you build around each combatant — see the full Effects Glossary for what every card keyword means.

Chaos runs

Outside the main story, most of CZN's replayable content is structured as Chaos runs — roguelike stages grouped under Chaos Manifestation, each with its own boss, elite monsters and event pool. The Game Modes guide covers Chaos Manifestation, the seasonal Great Rift ranked mode, and other rotating modes.

Ark City hub

Between runs you return to Ark City, the home hub holding shops and facilities — Research Facility, Policy Office, Epione Center, Garden Cafe, Starshine Diner and Nono's Shop — covered in the Ark City guide.

Growing your roster

New Combatants and Partners come from the Rescue gacha, and every Combatant is strengthened over time through Level/Promotion, the Potential skill tree, Manifest Ego, Partners, Memory Fragments and Save Data — all covered in the Character Progression guide. Use the Pity Planner to plan Rescue pulls around CZN's soft/hard pity.
