Partner Guide (What Partners Do & How to Get Them)
What Partners are in CZN, how they attach to a combatant and boost its stats, and how you pull them from the Partner Rescue banner.
Partners are a second collection layer in Chaos Zero Nightmare. You collect them separately from combatants, then attach one to a combatant to raise its stats — part companion, part equipment.
Partner vs Combatant
| Combatant | Partner | |
|---|---|---|
| Role | The unit you field in battle | Attaches to a combatant to support it |
| Collected from | Combatant Rescue | Partner Rescue (separate) |

How a Partner boosts stats
A Partner feeds into the combatant's stat pipeline in two ways — a flat addition to the base value and a percentage multiplier on top:
| Contribution | Where it lands |
|---|---|
| Flat stat | Added to the combatant's base ATK / DEF / HP |
| Percentage | Multiplies the total afterwards |
Because a Partner contributes both flat and % stats, the right Partner can be a large power jump. Exact per-Partner values are shown on each Partner's page as data is confirmed.

FAQ
| Question | Answer |
|---|---|
| Do I need a Partner for every combatant? | Prioritise your main damage dealers first — a Partner's flat + % boost matters most on the units carrying your team. |
| Is Partner pity shared with combatants? | No — pity is tracked per banner type, so Partner and Combatant progress separately. |
| Where do I compare Partners? | On the Partners list, filterable like the roster. |
