Attributes & Classes Explained (Type Advantage, Vulnerable)
How CZN's five Attributes and six Classes shape team building, plus the ×1.25 type-advantage and ×1.5 Vulnerable damage multipliers.
Every combatant in Chaos Zero Nightmare carries two tags: one of five Attributes and one of six Classes. Reading both is the backbone of team building.
The five Attributes
| Attribute | Theme |
|---|---|
| Passion | Fiery red |
| Void | Violet |
| Instinct | Amber |
| Order | Green |
| Justice | Blue |
Every combatant and enemy carries exactly one Attribute; you can filter the whole roster by it on the Combatants list. The exact which-beats-which matchup chart is still being catalogued — this guide gives the mechanics, not an unverified triangle.
The six Classes
| Class | Note |
|---|---|
| Striker | A Class is a combatant's role tag. Each unit belongs to exactly one Class; use it alongside Attribute when planning a squad. |
| Psionic | |
| Vanguard | |
| Ranger | |
| Hunter | |
| Controller |
Type advantage and Vulnerable
Two damage multipliers matter most. Hitting a target you have advantage against multiplies your damage, and a target marked Vulnerable takes even more.
| Effect | Multiplier |
|---|---|
| Attribute advantage | ×1.25 |
| Vulnerable target | ×1.5 |
These stack, so lining up an advantageous Attribute against a Vulnerable enemy is a large damage swing.
Building a balanced team
| Tip | Why |
|---|---|
| Spread your Attributes | Covers more enemy weaknesses across a stage |
| Mix Classes by role | Balances damage, control and durability |
| Open a Vulnerable window first | Then dump your advantaged attacker for the ×1.25 × ×1.5 spike (see the Tenacity guide) |
FAQ
| Question | Answer |
|---|---|
| Which Attribute beats which? | The full matchup chart is being verified; for now, look for the in-game advantage indicator when you target an enemy. |
| Does Class change my damage type? | Attribute drives the type-advantage math; Class is the role tag. Both are shown on each combatant page. |
| Is it worth chasing Vulnerable? | Yes — ×1.5 on top of a ×1.25 advantage is one of the biggest multipliers you control. |
