Should You Pull Remielle or Sigrid in ZZZ 3.1? - Worth It & Pull Priority
If you main an Ether Anomaly team, pull Remielle Dan in Phase 1 first — she is a straight upgrade for that slot. If your roster is missing a strong Ice carry, save for Sigrid in Phase 2 instead. The two banners SHARE one pity track, so losing your 50/50 on Remielle is not wasted: your "guaranteed" status carries over to Sigrid. Not sure you have the pulls or which axis you lack? Feed your pulls into the pity tool and scan your roster by UID before you spend a thing.
Pull Remielle or Sigrid first? The quick verdict
Straight talk: almost nobody has the pulls to grab both in one patch, so the real question is not "who is stronger" but "who does MY account need first". I use exactly three questions to decide, and they hold for every future banner pair, not just 3.1: (1) Which axis is my main team missing — damage, an element, or a utility role?
(2) Does the upcoming Agent fill that exact gap, or are they just a duplicate role? (3) Where is my pity, and am I holding a guarantee or not? Answer those three and the verdict reveals itself.
Remielle Dan (Phase 1): a straight upgrade for Ether Anomaly teams
Remielle is a Support / Anomaly sub-DPS on the Ether element — she builds and pops Corruption very fast, effectively a straight upgrade to the slot a lot of players are currently patching with someone else. She clicks with Ether Anomaly axes (think
Velina, Aria,
Vivian) to keep cycling Disorder, but she does NOT fit an off-element carry like
Miyabi — pairing them breaks the Anomaly chain.
Clean takeaway: if your main team is Ether Anomaly, she is worth it; if not, she is just nice to look at. Fuzzy on how Anomaly and Disorder interact? Read the tier list and the mechanic notes first.
Sigrid (Phase 2): an Ice main DPS who self-buffs 50% CRIT
Sigrid is an Ice main DPS in the Attack role. Her selling point is a built-in 50% CRIT Rate buff, which means you can skip stacking CRIT Rate on her Drive Discs and pour that budget into other stats — opening a very strong damage window when she enters her Alt Attack chain.
But this is a Phase 2 unit and the numbers can still shift: the honest advice is to wait for the Beta to lock her build and teams before you commit, rather than pulling blind on hype. If your roster already has a decent Ice carry, consider skipping; if your Ice slot is empty, she is the top candidate.
Where is your pity? Two banners SHARE one pity track
This is the part most guides skip, and it decides everything. The limited Agent channel has a hard pity of 90, the odds ramp up sharply around pull 74, and it runs a 50/50: hit an S and there is a 50% chance it is the featured unit. Most important — both the pity count AND your "guaranteed" status carry across banners.
So if you pull on Remielle and lose your 50/50 (you get a different standard S), you lose NOTHING: on the Sigrid banner your next S is certainly Sigrid, and your pity count continues. Feed your exact pull count into the pity tool for account-specific odds instead of guessing.
Scan your roster to see which axis you LACK
The best verdict comes not from an article but from your own account. Before you pull, open the UID tool to scan your current roster: do you already own an Ether Anomaly carry, do you own an Ice main DPS? If both axes are empty, prioritize the team you play most; if one axis is covered, funnel pulls into the one you are missing.
While you are there, check the tier list to see where the new units land versus what you own, and score your Drive Discs to know if your current build is even strong enough — pulling a unit with no gear to back it is a waste.
What if you skip this patch?
Skipping is not a failure — it is a move. Your pulls and guaranteed status do not expire while you rest, so saving through this patch is completely fine if the 3.1 pair does not fill your gap. To see how long until the next banner and who is coming, check the banner countdown (cron-updated as HoYo confirms).
While you save, do not leave free Polychrome codes on the table — a few pulls compounded over several weeks adds up to a real chunk by the time the banner you actually want shows up.
A decision frame for every patch (FAQ)
Boil it into a pocket frame that works no matter whose name is on the banner: scan your roster for the missing axis → check whether the new unit fills that exact axis → line it up against your pulls and guarantee status → pull or save. For 3.1 specifically: main Ether Anomaly, take Remielle first; missing an Ice carry, wait for Sigrid (and wait for the Beta to lock numbers); have both covered, hold your pulls for a banner that fits you better.
Common question — "is losing the 50/50 wasted?": no, the guarantee carries to the next banner. "Should I pull the W-Engine?": only once the Agent is secured and you have pulls to spare. For detailed builds, hit the team suggestions after you own the unit.
