Where do you farm Drive Discs?
There are 3 main sources:
- Routine Cleanup (Combat Simulation): your main Battery sink for discs, costing 60 Battery per run, and you can skip the fight to grab rewards instantly.
- Notorious Hunt (weekly boss): 3 free runs each week, then 60 Battery per extra run. This is where you find higher-quality discs.
- Tuning at the video store: use Master Tapes / Hi-Fi Master copies to craft discs from the set you actually want.
S-rank discs only drop from Level 40+ enemies, with a much higher rate from Level 60 foes.

The golden milestone is Inter-Knot Level 40. Here's why:
- S-rank discs finally drop reliably (Level 40+ enemies).
- It unlocks Advanced Tuning — craft discs and guarantee an S-rank disc in the set you want (3 Hi-Fi Master copies per pull).
Many Japanese guides even suggest waiting until Inter-Knot Level 50 to unlock Routine Cleanup Lv.60 — which gives the best substat quality — before going all-in. In short: Level 40 to begin, Level 50 to truly grind.

How to farm efficiently and save Battery
Because slots 1–3 have only one fixed main stat each, they're the best slots to roll substats on. Slots 4, 5, 6 have many possible main stats, so use the targeting feature there to avoid wasting runs.
- Lock in the correct set for your Agent first, then worry about substats.
- Only level a disc once its main stat is correct — leveling blindly wastes resources.
- Don't rush to disassemble strong S-rank discs: many are usable right away without further tuning.

Should I farm Drive Discs below Inter-Knot 40?
Not seriously. Below Level 40, S-rank discs don't drop reliably, so most discs you get will be replaced later. Spend your Battery leveling Agents, W-Engines and pushing the story first; start real optimizing at Level 40.
Which disc slots should I optimize first?
Prioritize slots 4, 5, 6 since they decide the main stat (e.g. CRIT DMG, ATK%, elemental damage) — the biggest power drivers. Slots 1–3 have a fixed main stat, so you only need to worry about their substats.
Is Tuning (crafting) better than farming?
