Lady by the Lake — Review & Analysis
Lady by the Lake is a Plant-Afflatus buffer/sub-DPS hybrid dealing Mental DMG: she hands one ally a +25% DMG Bonus (Cubism) while shredding an enemy's DMG Resistance by -20%/-30% (Loneliness), and on top of that feeds the team Passion and upgrades card tiers. Her Ultimate is a 450% Mental AoE that gains an extra 50% DMG per Contained Object stack and strips shields based on ATK — nuking and shield-breaking at once. Her passive (Silent Syndrome) doubles both the buff and the debuff and self-generates stacks each round, so she runs very smoothly.
- Buffs and debuffs at the same time: raises an ally's damage (Cubism) while lowering an enemy's Resistance (Loneliness), amplifying damage from both ends.
- Powerful AoE Ultimate (450% Mental, +50% per stack) with shield removal at 300% ATK — excellent against multi-enemy or shielded content.
- Generates Passion and upgrades ally card tiers, and her passive grants +1 Action Point plus self-stacking each round, so she needs almost no ramp-up.
- Plant Afflatus is countered by Beast (+30% DMG to her side), making her a poor pick against Beast-heavy enemy line-ups.
- Ultimate power scales with accumulated Contained Object stacks, and most of her buff/debuff is single-target — value is concentrated on one point rather than spread across the whole team.
Prioritize her Ultimate (Portrait) and The Assembly of the Picture (the Cubism buff) first to maximize team damage amplification, then The Essence's Composition (the Resistance debuff). Since the shield-removal coefficient and part of her damage scale off ATK, favor an ATK/DMG-oriented Psychube; if you run her purely as a support, a Psychube boosting Incantation potency or durability helps her hold value across long fights.
