A Special Vacation
Anecdote Summary
Seven-year-old Frank is sent to spend summer vacation with his dad's old friend, Deepspace Hunter Xavier, expecting a flashy warrior straight out of cartoons. Instead he finds a lazy man in pajamas with no shiny weapons, no robots, and no armory — a huge letdown. Frank soon discovers Xavier secretly slips out every night to fight Wanderers while he sleeps, and during the day gets him to reluctantly agree to basic sword lessons. Their pretend 'training' suddenly turns real when actual Wanderers attack the park, letting Frank witness Xavier's true strength firsthand. The story ends with Frank keeping Xavier's secret and happily imitating his new hero back home. This is a standalone anecdote available from the start, with no unlock condition.
